We plan to use Acumatica to track items' expiration dates. Here's our workflow:First, print a physical copy of the purchase receipt. The warehouse receiver then uses this paper to accept goods, fills in the received quantity on the receipt, and records the expiration date for items requiring expiration tracking. After receiving the completed physical receipt, the office clerk enters the details into the system.        However, we encountered an issue: once the "Track Expiration Date" feature is enabled, we can't create a purchase receipt in Acumatica unless we first enter an expiration date. But without creating the purchase receipt, we can't print the physical copy—this is a total catch-22.A paradox where one step depends on the other.Any suggestions on how to resolve this?

     Our company plans to set some items to capture expiration dates upon receipt. However, these items are frequently used, and it’s impossible to wait until the inventory is exhausted before replenishing. In other words, there is always an on-hand quantity in stock. I noticed that when I try to modify the lot serial class, items that are in use (which should mean having an on-hand quantity) do not allow me to switch from the default class to the expiration date track class.How can this problem be solved? What is the best approach. Please advise.

Hi all - We are in the heavy civil construction industry; when paying for subcontractors, we can only pay what paid (meaning, if the open commitment quantity is for 10 units, and we are only paid 7 units from the project owner, we can only pay the subcontractor 7 units). We receive invoices from the subcontractors for work complete, but there’s no way to track that quantity in any report. We currently use Progress Worksheets in the Construction module to log the invoices, but these “completed quantities” don’t go anywhere/aren’t reportable/can’t tie to project commitments. How are others tracking the submitted/invoiced quantities for subcontracts, but not actually entering the invoices into payables?

I create a new report. And i need set visible group header by some condition When i set =$LaborReport_RowsCount>0  in visibleExpr this headers was not visible. But i have rows in Labor Report.

Hi,When attempting to redirect to my custom screen using PXRedirectRequiredException, Acumatica throws the error ‘You have insufficient rights to access the object.’I have verified that the user has Grant All permissions on both the screen and the graph, and the user can open the screen directly in the UI without any issues. What else could cause this error during programmatic redirection?

I have field Description or other and i need wrap text with label for this field. How I can do this? For example i have this structure And in report my field description stuck other field, but label description not.

I set vendor access by user. I want to filter the data by the vendor or employee when running the report in Report Designer. I remember that in customer access, I only needed to link another table to the Customer table, and the data was filtered automatically. But for vendor access, I don’t know how to make it work. Please guide me

Does anyone have any xml files for basic Cash Account Generic Inquiries?  I would really like to build something simple that just shows me a total for a cash account based on todays current Balance and adjust for any AR or AP that is due within the parameter date range I give it.  I want to be able to say, how much will I have on 11/20/2025 based on the balance of today, any due AR and AP, and any future AR and AP that has not been paid yet.  Almost all of the banking and finance inquiries are Customizations that do not let me pull that information in as a data source. And I am not experienced enough to mess with the customizations themselves.   Has anyone made something like this? I was having an issue with getting my new saved report getting into the site map.  At the time of writing this report I was able to get it to work by “Open report from server - load report lists” and saving it as a new report.I was not able to get it to show up from editing the saved report and saving it to the server.Problem solved, has anyone else had this issue?

I created GI that pulls all appointments that are past today’s date but have the status of not started. Now I am trying to set the appointments that are over 60 days to one color and the ones over 30 days to another color. I am having issues with the date in the formula to set the row colors.  In the conditions it lets me use the @today-30 or -60 function but it doesn’t like the @ today in the results grid to setup the color.  I tried the today() function but then it gives me a syntax error.   =IIf([FSAppointment.ScheduledDateTimeBegin]<((today())-60),'red', (IIf([FSAppointment.ScheduledDateTimeBegin]<((today())-30),'orange', 'default'))) Any ideas on how I can accomplish this? I know the issue is integer versus date but I am not sure how to fix this.

I’m working on creating a Sales Order and running into an issue with negative inventory on Shipments.“Sell Negative” is already set to true in the Item Class, so the Sales Order is created successfully. However, when I go to the Shipment screen, the system only generating auto the quantity that is currently available for shipping. I need to overship/ship a negative quantity, but the Shipped Qty field is restricted to the available amount. When i am adding manually the qty worked fine. I want to make it like when i click on create shipment button the system should populate the correct data not only shipmnet avialble.I’m stuck at this step.Can someone please guide me through the correct process for handling negative inventory on Shipments and how to resolve this issue? 

Hi Community, Acumatica seems to have recently inserted new Roles that do not follow their normal naming convention nor have any sort of information for their descriptions. Does anyone know when/ why these roles were added? And what their access is to the system?Thanks,RJ

Hello,On December 1st, our GST number changed and we are wondering what would be the best way to manage our AR invoices to reflect this change : every AR invoice dated November 30 or before should have our old GST number, whereas AR invoices dated Dec. 1st or after should show our new GST number. We usually set up the GST number on the Company screen. The problem is that if we change it on the Company settings, it would also change the GST number on previous invoices. What would be the best way to proceed in your opinion?

Hi all, I need to change the Default Fin Period on the Reverse and apply action. Needs to default the the current open Period.  I developed this below and it works. We did a mid-year Acumatica implementation. How do I load the vendor payments by branch for 1099 reporting purposes? Our branches have different EIN#s.

Hello!I was wondering if anyone had this issue when using this setting on the Production Order Types screen.I turned this on to better track our subassemblies so everything can be categorized under the parent production order #. But what’s weird is that it causes the Production Order # to skip a bunch of iterations, seemingly at random.See below for a screenshot. These were all Production Orders that were created within the last ~5 days. And I am certain that there is no way that someone created around 7000 Production Orders only to delete them in that timeframe.For some reason it jumps from POP027009-000 → POP027746-000 all the way to the most recent which is POP037933-000. And in this screenshot, the earliest production order (POP027009-000) to the most recent (POP037933-000) jumps over 10,000 iterations. Prior to turning this setting on the numbering sequence worked as intended. Is there something conflicting between this setting and the numbering sequence? Does anyone know why this

How to filter records by current user branch GI

Hi everyone,We’re running into recurring issues in our Distribution Center related to lot-tracked inventory and availability for shipping. We are semi-new to Acumatica, having gone live in March, so we’re still ironing out some processes.Our Lot/Serial Class is set to “User - Lot Tracked”, meaning the system does not assign specific lot numbers when generating pick lists - only the location is specified.Here’s the problem:The picker is directed to a location (e.g. F-A01-) to pick any available lot. However, the lot they select is often showing an error (Something like “lot unavailable” or “inventory will go negative”), even though it physically exists in that location. Other times, picking and packing go smoothly, but at Confirm Shipment, we get an error saying the inventory will go negative - even though nothing appears to be oversold or misallocated. When we double-check the Inventory Summary screen, it shows more than enough quantity available to complete the pick lists, yet Acumati

We recently migrated all our SKUs from average to standard costing due to average costs getting all mixed up. We did this by issuing out all of the inventory, updating costing to standard and entering a receipt back in. I am running the inventory valuation report but continuing to see the inventory valued at average cost rather than the new standard cost of the SKU for many items. One example is the following SKU:L175:Standard Cost - $42QTY on Hand - 425Expected Cost - $17,850 Cost per Valuation ReportAverage Cost - $235QTY on Hand - 425Cost on Inventory Valuation Report - $99,875 This appears to be an issue for all SKUs with an INCost ValMethod of “A”.Any reason why this INCost ValMethod would remain as average despite the SKU having been changed to Standard Cost?
