Hello!,  We need to get an advance payment from the customer for the items that are not covered by the service contract. But when I select the service contract on the service order it disappeared the prepayments tab. I tried to connect the service order on the payments and application form but we cannot create a prepayment and connect service orders only a prepayment can be connected if coming from the service order. Is there any way I can collect prepayments for the service orders connected to a service contract?Amanda 

I need to know how to reopen lines that are marked as completed on partially received PO’s on ACU

I’ve added non-inventory items to a service order appointment. How/when are these costs posted to the GL? I see how time is posted and I can bill these transactions in AR, but I don’t see the cost impact to the GL.

We are looking to have the gl posting happen for a specific service order type to a specific gl account irrespective of the Stock or Non Stock items that was utilized to complete the service order. Our client bases the Service Contract on number of visits.  Sometimes they cannot be complete in the period that was covered.  Is it possible to set up Service Contracts based on the number of visits?

I am trying to import historical service orders along with multiple activities for each service order.  However, there doesn’t appear to be a place in the import scenario profile for activities.  Am I missing something?  Has anyone else encountered this issue?Best,David Eichner, CPA

Understand they implemented a new feature but it’s virtually broken. Even the signature captured has an “error” and can’t be upload.Please rectify any workarounds, this update has greatly distrupt operations.

Hello,I’m a prospective Acumatica customer.I’m wondering how people are finding the functionality for time keeping?  We have lots of staff on hourly payroll and we need a system that will track total hours for the day and time on work orders.Ie. Clock in at 8am, clock in/out of service orders throughout the day, downtime in between, and end of day.I’m finding info on adding time to jobs but less info on overall time management.  We use clock shark today.  It’s easy for employees and managers to see total time per day/week by person and then the details for what was on a job vs. travel and admin.Thank you in advance for your thoughts!Robert Lee

Is there a way to interface appointments from the field service module to an online calendar like Google calendar? The calendar layout in ACM is impossible to work with on a mobile device.

I’m trying to figure out the best option for assigning company owned equipment (tools) to employees.  I’m not trying to job cost them in projects nor assign to specific service orders.  Similiar to assigning a Fixed Asset to a custodian except we don’t have the Fixed Asset module. Any ideas are greatly appreciated.  We have Service Management and Equipment is available but I don’t see how to assign (check out / check in) to specific employees.  

Does anyone know how to prevent Staff from making changes to the Calendar Board??  I cannot find the security role setting specifically to make the Calendar Board “View Only” for our Staff.  Right now they can very easily click and move an Appointment from one timeslot to another, or from one person to another!  

How can we move the costs from a service order to a project.  We have multiple service orders that have turned in to projects.  this happens often when we go to a customers to fix some a piece of equipment and due to the condition of the equipment we quote the price of replacement and we include the costs from the service order in the quote so we don’t invoice for the service order. Weeks or months later  we replace the equipment and the cost from the service order need to get included in the project so we can show the customer we included the service order, and the revenue from the project stays with the costs from the service order.  This happens frequently leaving open service orders.  our revenue doesn’t match the costs on projects making the projects profitable and the service order not profitable.My only thought is to do a GL transaction, but it won’t affect the service order, just the project.  the appointment has time activities on it, so it won’t let me do anything w

Hi,I am configuring Field Services and have a question. When I create a service order and try to select a branch location per the screenshot below: It does not display all of the branches to select from under Branch Locations. It only displays the branch that is at the top of the screen. Refer to second screenshot.    There are company access roles setup under Companies but would that be causing the issue? 

What are the option for reporting Service Order profitability ?

Is there a way to add a link to each appointment of to get back to the first appointment?Our techs want to be able to refer back to what was done on the first appointment because sometimes a different tech will be going out on the follow up appointments. This way they can get to the appointment faster.

Is there a way to see what Inventory Items are on order?

Has anyone found a way to allow customers to schedule their own service tickets (or request for work) inside of Acumatica? I know they can create CRM cases and those cases can be used to create appointments. My client is specifically looking for a way to allow customers to select a day and a time for a technician to perform work. Those days/times are based upon open availability of technicians. 

Hi all! We are trying to come up with the best way to create a customer portal where they can view their locations, equipment, service orders/appointments and the reports generated for the appointments. I know there is a self-service portal but that seems to be designed for more financial items. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
