2026 R2 takes AI from answering questions to taking action. AI Assistant now handles harder business questions, including analysis of prior periods and specific dates, so finance teams can see how balances changed and find the transactions behind the numbers. Answers can become reusable dashboard widgets that your team keeps refining. New AI agents are simple to create with plain instructions. They can start automatically from Business Events, Import/Export Scenarios, or existing workflows, and they can pass work from one agent to the next to finish multi-step processes like adjusting prices to hit target margins or assessing credit risk. New MCP servers let administrators give external AI tools like Claude or ChatGPT governed, read-only access to published Generic Inquiries. Expanded data masking and token usage tracking keep AI Automation secure and cost-transparent.
Data and Analytics at Scale: Faster Answers, Stronger Governance
Generic Inquiry Optimization stores the results of large or frequently used inquiries, so dashboards, pivot views, OData, and MCP load faster. You can refresh the results on a schedule or on demand. New Grouped Table views organize results into expandable hierarchies with subtotals and totals, with no Report Designer needed. DAC-level data security lets business users build their own inquiries while seeing only the data they're authorized to access.
Portals, Payments, and a Modern Platform: One Experience, End to End
AP Payments powered by AvidXchange sends payments to U.S. vendors by virtual card, ACH, or check, and you don't need to store vendor bank details in Acumatica. BILL's Pay Faster service now supports ACH and foreign-currency payments to international vendors. The Modern UI is now the default experience, so this release is the time to migrate any remaining Classic forms and customizations before Classic-only functionality is retired in 2027 R1. Mobile clock-in/clock-out with offline support, real-time license and resource consumption visibility, and a guided in-product experience help customers and partners run and grow with confidence.

General Business: Payroll processing runs up to 63% faster, with the biggest gains for organizations processing hundreds of paychecks. Intelligent bank matching learns from your confirmed matches, so the same reconciliation work doesn't repeat every month. Configurable vendor approvals keep unverified vendor data out of purchasing and AP, and 1099 e-filing now supports the IRS's new IRIS system ahead of the 2027 filing season. In CRM, AI flags the opportunities and cases that need attention first. Related-item suggestions, including ML-generated cross-sell and upsell recommendations, now appear in opportunities and quotes, and real-time inventory availability is visible without leaving the deal.
Manufacturing: A new Advanced Planning and Scheduling engine schedules production forward or backward using finite or infinite logic, planned against your real calendars, shifts, and efficiencies. The expanded Shop Floor Kiosk becomes the only screen operators need: they can issue materials to the operation, add substitutes, capture lot and serial attributes, and make corrections on the spot. Four new manufacturing Generic Inquiries let AI Assistant answer questions about schedule performance, material needs, and production order risk. MRP and DRP now plan safety stock and reorder points as separate methods.
Construction & Professional Services: Parent-child projects consolidate billing and reporting across phases, sites, or scopes. A new Vendor Portal gives vendors and subcontractors self-service access to subcontracts, purchase orders, and compliance documents — the first step toward the broader Acumatica Construction Exchange. Change management gets more precise, with commitments attached to change requests, tax breakdowns shown before the change order is created, and billed-versus-pending tracking. New S-curve cost forecasting, quantity-based progress billing, and a new Reclassify Project Transactions form cut down on manual rework.
Distribution & Commerce: Available-to-Promise (ATP) shows projected supply and demand on the order line, so teams can commit to ship dates they can keep. Picking now adapts to how your inventory actually moves, from unit-by-unit scanning to allocation across bulk, case-pick, and fast-pick zones. BigCommerce B2B accounts now sync in both directions, Shopify exchanges arrive fully reconciled, and improved rate shopping and EasyPost address validation mean fewer shipping surprises.
