I am trying to make credit memo numbers return a negative amount and leave the all other doc types positive. This is the code I wrote and I cannot figure out how to get this to work correctly.        Currently, in the liability section of our balance sheet, "Purchase Accrual" and "Accounts Payable" are displayed separately. Our company’s accountant has requested that the values of these two items be combined and shown as a single line item on the balance sheet.After checking, I noticed that it seems I could simply change the account class of "Purchase Accrual" from "othcurliab" to "AP" to achieve this. However, would this cause any issues? Is this the most recommended approach? Are there any better alternative solutions?

Hello all,I'm reaching out today to see how to recognize revenue for fixed fee billing projects in Acumatica. When I run billing for a fixed fee/percent complete project, it will immediately recognize the entire amount billed as revenue, even if it is a downpayment before work on the project even starts. I've been trying to build an allocation rule that will move that amount to deferred revenue and move the balance back into revenue as we put time and materials into the project, but I haven't had much success with it. I'm curious as to how some of you go about this and any ideas would be greatly appreciated.Thank you,

When entering a new customer and linking to the Parent ID, it is still necessary to populate the Bill To Info on the Child record. Is there a setting to automatically pull the parent info into the child account?

I have already created the GI but the YTD values and sometimes even the FY values are not correct. Currently PTO adjustments only update corrected hours.  Need to add hours used field to the adjustment screen so that everyone can see accrued vs used in the PTO inquriy and report, not just corrections.

We have a customer that uses the same inventory ID to represent multiple purchase items. When using the native create purchase order action/process the created purchase order will link the PO to the SO, but on the PO all of the lines are consolidated into a single line. This does not work for their process because the inventory ID represents multiple items on multiple SO lines with unique tran. descriptions. I created the import scenario to create the purchase order, but the 2nd import scenario to link the lines together has not been working (screenshot below). Running this import scenario does not offer an error. It shows that it successfully processed.I am able to manually link the lines using the purchase details screen, just not through an import scenario.The reason I’m using @@TranDesc is because the PO LineNbr field is missing from the Purchasing Details window. That seems to be the best unique ID in this case.  

Hi All, Just exploring the Capable to Promise Functionality.While looking at the screen it seems that the system can do this for all Sales order Types if the Item is a CTP Item.When creating a SO and a QT for the same item, only the SO Order Type shows up as available for Processing. Does anyone know if only certain Order Types are eligible for this?Not quite sure why the Quote would not be available when that is the most common stage needing a Date for the Customer.

The goal is to update the qty required or other fields on the material lines of an existing BOM using an import scenario.I am aware of using the @InventoryID as a lookup, but in our scenario  there may be multiple material lines for the same inventory id on a single operation.  These are typically non-stock items that are called out with different descriptions.  The other option I’m aware of is to lookup by line number, but we have run into issues with this too. When a BOM is edited there are sometimes gaps in the AMBomMatl.lineNbr field, whereas the <Line Number> lookup is always looking at sequential lines.  This may result in the wrong line being updated, or an error if the line number doesn’t exist.  Is there a way to retrieve the sequential line number in a GI, so that we can be sure we are editing the correct line?Any thoughts  @dennisgodsill36 or other import scenario gurus out there?Thanks in advance!Laura

I’m facing an issue with the Aging report in Acumatica. When I run it from the Customer screen, it doesn’t work as expected (no results / broken behavior).   When I run the report directly, it prints an error: "Invalid field".   It seems like the report is missing or misconfigured fields/parameters when launched from both places.Has anyone experienced this before? Do I need to adjust the report parameters (like OrgBAccountID, CustomerID, or others) to fix this issue?Any guidance or examples would be greatly appreciated.Thanks in advance!

How do you restrict the ability to prevent any discount from happening on a hand full of stock items when a sales order is done? 

Hi All,I need to correct an invoice, removing tax and updating bill-to data. (I updated the customer profile to prevent recurrence for future orders).Steps taken to resolve:To avoid reprocessing the shipment (which has already gone out), I followed steps for invoice correction, which generated a correction invoice document that meets my requirements, but when I try to release, I get the error message: The tax amount calculated by the external tax provider cannot be applied to the document. AR Error: Total application amount cannot exceed document amount.For the ARError, I expect this is because my original invoice $ DocBalance is more that the correction invoice (tax amount = $0.00 in the correction document). I saw a solution in another community post for a similar situation where a credit memo equal to the tax amount is applied to the original document, allowing the correcting document to be released. However, when I try, Acumatica doesn’t let me apply my credit memo to the original

I found several other people asking this question, but none of the workarounds work for my situation. I have one report I want to use as the default for several Mailing IDs. I want to set the same Report ID for Mailing ID ‘SO INVOICE’, ‘SALES ORDER’, and ‘QUOTE’ to replace the default report used in the Sales Orders > Print Sales Order and Email Sales Order actions, the Sales Quote > Print Quote and Email Quote actions, and the Sales Orders > Invoices > Print Invoice and Email Invoice actions. So far I have tried to change the SO Invoice report. I set it in Sales Order Preferences > Mailing & Printing: I also set it on customer classes so the customer on the sample sales order I am testing with shows it should use the new template:But when I use any action I can to print the sales order, I still get SO.64.10.10 as the report:Are there more places I could assign the report ID? The new feature to manually add lines to a pro forma should behave like when adding an AR Invoice, but I find when I do this, the inventory ID’s price does not populate.We are on Myob Acumatica so possible this works in Acumatica later versions as we are always behind the US?Client wants to add an adhoc fee as and when required, and wants to ensure the price for the fee adds to the proforma invoice automatically.  They must have pro-formas as using that to clean up WIP / what to invoice client.

I create an import scenario.  I would like to publish it so that I can add it as a screen in the site map.I want a dept to be able to use it to upload a new excel file every month from a report. I want to limit them so they can only use that import scenario.

I can see the workspaces in the Main Menu during Edit but when I exit, I cannot see them. How do I expose them? Thanks so much.  

In the settings of the Statement Cycle, there is an option not to print empty statements.In our understanding, these are customers with 0 or negative balance. However, when we unselect it our Print Statement screen still show the Customers with 0 or negative balance.  Another thing is that, in the screen Prepare Dunning Letter there is an option to exclude Credit Memos. Is there a way to do this for Statements without doing customization? Thank you.  

Has anyone come across situations / solutions to prevent WC from calculating on specific projects? We have a client who routinely works on OCIP projects and doesn’t need WC to accrue, but I haven’t found a way to prevent it in any payroll or project settings.The client currently reverses it via journal transaction, but is hoping to avoid the extra manual step.

Does anyone have operations that require direct labor cells(more than one operator working together on an operation together)If I have an order for 200 units, each operator is recording 100 units in their clock entry. The math is straight forward on the surface, but when the unit is a 6 pack and they only finish a partial order do to the end of the shift the math get complicated very quickly and we are doing lots of corrections to clock entrys.I know one alternative is to have one person scan the full qty and the other ‘0’ but then we lose sight of productivity numbers.How are people handling this? Are there any good 3rd party integrations for this?Customizations, people have in place?

Hi all,We are using Acumatica version, Acumatica Cloud ERP 2025 R1 (Build 25.101.0153.1 +), and we have created multi-layer BOMs and created sales orders.When trying to create production orders from sales order screen or from create production orders screen the following error occurs.Quote>“Error: Updating  'Production Item' record raised at least one error. Please review the errors. Error: 'Start Date' cannot be empty. “ Please find the below screen shots for your reference.Bill of MaterialRelevant Sales OrderWe have checked the data in sales order preferences and BOM preferences as well, but unable to see a reason for this error.Did anyone encounter this issue?Your insights are highly appreciated to resolve this issue. Thanks,Chameera.
