My company would like to send out email notifications if the cost of certain items has changed.Ideally, the notification would include a table with a format similar to the following. But I have not found a way to access the “old” cost once the value in the cost field has changed.Item Code Old Cost New Cost ABC123 $1.00 $2.00  Is there any way to report the previous field value within a notification? Thanks!

Hi,My generic inquiry won’t display the data unless I pick anything from my parameter (Customer)first, then I need to delete it when I don’t need that filter yet. Given that the date is already specified, shouldn’t it display the data as soon as I open it?I think this also causes my pivot table to not display anything.Appreciate any help!

Hi All,I want to make a GI for Sales Order, I have tables SOOrder and SOLine, I got the fields of SOOrder to display and of SOLine not. The thing is, 1 SOOrder can have multiple SOLine details (1 SO, multiple inventory items). I think it won’t display because of that, is that correct? But how I be able to get it?Thank you in advance!

Hello,Initially, I found the Status and Customer columns narrow in width, so I just dragged the sides to stretch them. The Status content adjusted, but the customer content would not. I didn’t specify width in the GI creation, and even if I do, still no changes. Where should I make a change? Thanks!

Hi all,I am trying to make generic inquiries for the first time, but I got troubles.Can somebody please take a look at my set up?My result is, after specifying the SO Nbr and SO Type, the results grid still gives all and doesn’t filter based upon my parameter. In Acumatica, program ID BC.50.10.00 in the vanilla version, refers to a BigCommerce integration. At the same, we created our own modules and one of the modules, is called Budgetary Control, with the acronym BC.  We also have our own form with program ID BC.50.10.00, which is Open and Close Budget Year.What impact would a program with same ID do, to the following areas of Acumatica?Database Site Map Wiki Form ReferencingThanks in advance.

We implemented Avatax with Certcapture about four months ago. If I have a customer that is generally exempt but has a project that is not, I have been going into Certcapture to expire the exemption to force tax. This is a cumbersome process. Avatax has an option to set an over ride word to force tax but Acumatica does not that I know of support this. The over ride in Avatax is looking at the entity usage code field for that information. I am unable to add an over ride code into Acumatica’s entity use code field. I talked with a few people at the Summit and the only suggestion I received was to create a duplicate customer different address.Any help is greatly appreciated.  

We are in the process of moving to 22R2 and we have created a sandbox for testing.  As part of that process we made a copy of our production DB and attached it to the sandbox for testing.  One thing that we need to do is change the S3 PROD credentials that moved with the copy to point to our Sandbox S3.  It seems that the information is locked and we cant change the configurations.  Any help would be appreciated.

When creating a Drop Ship type PO, the Add Project Item does not populate the selected product with the Orginal Budgeted Quantity and Unit Rate from the Cost Budget. As you can see, I have selected the line item which has Original Budgeted Quantity of 41.When I click add and close this is the result:TMy expected behavior for this button is for the order QTY to be populated by Original Budgeted Quantity and Unit Cost to be populated by Unit Rate from the project cost budget.As is, I must download the cost budget and chop up the excel to what I want on the PO and then upload, eliminating the purpose of the button, not to mention being a tedious, clunky process.If I use it, I must hand enter the order quantity and cost for every line, copying by visual reference from another tab. This is tedious, cumbersome and introduces opportunity for mistakes.

Is there any way to assign report versions of the same report to different companies/branches. I have seen a few workflow related solutions but wasn’t sure if there was a simpler method before going down that path. 

We are upgrading from 2019 to 2020R2 and while doing so we noticed one of the methods CreateDefPaymentMethod is no longer available in 2020 R2. Can anyone suggest what is the alternate method that can be used or we just remove the method.

Hi All,We are currently exploring options to keep track of expiration Dates for Non-Stock items.Our client has Expiration Dates for Consumables that are Expensed right away and are in general treated like a Non-Stock Item.Before recommending rethinking the usage of these items to be Stock items, we wanted to see if there are any ideas or proven ways out there to keep track of Expiration Dates for Non-Stock items? Inventory Levels are not really needed but it should serve as an Indicator of what material they need to get rid of within their Facility. One example is Specialty Glue. Any ideas on how this could be accomplished without the need of having a Stock item for this. 

Is there any possibility to schedule operations not only by the restrictions of capacities and constraint dates but in addition by attributes?Use cases:- Food production: Producing food with and without nuts. Workload planned for one week on the same resource (mixer). User wants to have a schedule for producing first the items without nuts in BOM and only after that the items with nuts to make sure that the "nut-free" products are not polluted by rest of nuts. Mixer will be cleaned only at the end of the week.- paint production: sequece should be from light to dark on one and the same machine.- other industries: tool optimization for reducing the set up time for preparing the machines for the different products.

Are there any heavy highway contractors here that are willing to share their standard cost codes? I’m working with a client who uses unique cost codes for each project and would love to show them an example of a standardized structure specific to their industry. 

My understanding is that there is no functionality tied to Item Type within the system, that it is a way of categorizing data.  With that in mind, I am interested in adding other Item Types to the system to further manage/categorize Non-Stock Items.  I have not found any options or methods to maintain the list of Types available for selection within the modules.

Our production process involves purchasing some items directly from the production order through Critical Materials in order to maintain the link upon receipt and ultimately the release/issuance of materials.However, there exists times where some of these items will arrive late (beyond our production end date). In these cases, we will still complete and close the production order (& ship out the order) despite not receiving certain items. This order is considered short shipped, as we shipped the order without certain items.These missing items are then added to a Sales Order and shipped and installed at the client’s site at a future date - once received. We have run into an issue as the goal would be:Once we close the production order, we would like to move the “short shipped” items to a Sales Order and link to the outstanding PO. The issue I’m having is I’m unable to unlink that PO from the now closed production order. As a result, I’m unable to link the PO to the newly created Sal

Hello everyone. We use the cloud version of Acumatica. We have a VAR and also work with MaxQ, and they both provide custom solutions in the form of customization projects. We also have two internal teams that create customization projects for managing our systems integrations with Acumatica. So, we have multiple sources of customization projects and a fairly frequent need to publish them. When we publish, we need to disable our systems integrations and schedule an Acumatica lockout so that users are out of the system and don’t lose their work when the website restarts. This means that we’re either locking out users during business hours, or frequently working outside of business hours to publish. Is there any alternative to this? How do other folks manage their need to publish customization projects?Thanks, Dave 

I have been asked if it’s possible to set the From Period to default to 01-2022 instead of 01-2023.  I’m not sure how to go about doing this.  I presume I need to somehow get the correct Period ID from the string 01-2022 or date 01/01/2022 and set it in the FieldDefaulting Event Handler but I’m not sure how to go about getting the PeriodID to set.Thanks for any advice,Phil

Is there a way I can correct / update an order after it has been invoiced? specifically for the sps edi tab for shipments. Normally I place a reference number under the SPS EDI tab for and order before it’s invoiced, however I accidentally hit prepare invoice instead of correct shipment. Now when I try to add the reference number to the order that was invoiced the “correct shipment” option is greyed out and unable to update the SPS EDI tab.

I need to create a new testing tenant and only want to copy over master files (i.e. vendors, customers, chart of accounts, inventory (stock and non-stock items) and settings for payables, receivables, and general ledger, and inventory. What is the best method to do this and what is the estimated investment in time to create this scenario? 

I am lookin to see if we create one Vendor Tax Agency and put multiple tax zones for every state as well as zip codes it that would work correctly.  I know there are services out there i.e. Vertex but we are trying to do this internal and manually.  Thank you.
