We’re working through our implementation of the Advanced Planning and Scheduling module. We’ve successfully setup a few BoMs, Machines, Calendars, etc AND have managed to schedule test orders with predictable results. several wins all around BUT there’s something we might be missing… Threaded Scheduling ( I made that name up )When scheduling a large order where individual Operations span multiple days we’ve noticed that it’s all scheduled logically as one long plan, not ideal for our environment. Let’s try this scenario...Assumptions : Operation 1 references a Work Center that resides in Warehouse A. Operation 2 references a Work Center that resides in Warehouse A, though we may opt to move Operation 2 into a different Warehouse within the same building.Scenario : We need to make 100 widgets and the BoM has two Operations. Operation 1 takes five days to complete and each day it completes 20 widgets. Operation 2 takes five days to complete and each day it completes 20 widgets.Observatio

What’s the best way to add an index to an existing table that’s a third-party table?It’s a table with an auto-increment field as it’s primary key (along with CompanyID). But when I look at the underlying views, the code is querying the table using non-indexed fields. I don’t have time, at the moment, to reach out to the third-party to suggest that they add a key to make the lookups faster mostly because I won’t have time to integrate any patch from them into my code base at this point even if they agree.So I was thinking of adding a non-unique key on the fields that I see the view using.Should I just add a SQL script to my customization project to add the index if it isn’t already in place?Or is there a more official way that I should do this?

I’m a little confused with the OAuth logout method. I have the login/token method working, but once the token is issued and the api’s are finished do I need to post a logout? Or can I continue to use that token for subsequent calls. Also, if I need to logout, what do I pass? I see the methods in the videos about Postman, but I’m using Power Automate Desktop actions for the automation. Thanks!

What is the best practice to pay employees for a holiday that was not setup in the work calendar Exceptions? At the time of setup, the customer missed informing us that Easter is a paid holiday. It wasn’t setup therefore we now need to get this holiday paid to the employees.  We are thinking about using Paychecks and Adjustments entry with check type = Special. Can you confirm best practice?  Also, since Easter holiday and some others float around to different dates, is it understood that we should adjust the Work Calendar Exceptions list at the beginning of a new year for the upcoming years’ proper holiday dates? Thank you much!Amy

Is it possible to take photos on an appointment and save it onto the target equipment selected for that appointment? Our guys don't have access to the equipment module on their tablets and at the moment we have to take photos on the appointment and manually move them to the appropriate target equipment.

HI, I’m trying to create an approval map where a manager will need to approve the AP bill for POs enter only by certain users. It doesn't look to be working. However if I uncheck the active box for the 2 employees in the conditions tab, the approval does work. I only need it for these 2 employees though. Any Thoughts? 

How can you default the Business Account Class for BA’s that are created automatically when you create a new customer?  We have the default setting from customer  management preferences and that works great for BA’s that we create as a business account and then extend to a customer.  But…  if we create a customer, the automatically created BA does not default a business account class.  I couldn’t find any AR preferences for the Business Account class.

Hi All, I am currently working through a Requirement for the proForma Invoice where we would like to split Time and Material Project Entries with their separate Headers and after each other:Basically Project Task 1 with the Code 00 will always be Labor and needs to flow into the Time Header Section.The Rest will always be Material.So I need to associate the Line/Detail Section to the Grouped Header of Time.I cannot figure out how to associate a certain Detail section with the appropriate Header Section.Visual Expressions didn’t bring me very far yet as it is not determining where the specific Lines shows up  Any thoughts on how to associate the Detail Section with the Header Section?

Has anyone experienced slower system operation/transaction speed when dealing with a large data set of > 500,000 SKUs (i.e., is there inverse relationship between operational speed and SKU quantity in a system)?Thanks.

Can you report on operations expense at a warehouse level or does it need to be a branch in order to meet the requirement. I am referring to capturing and reporting non product cost, like your payroll, building maintenance etc. We are trying not to have move sub accounts to keep it simple on the number of accounts and activities to be configured.

Is it possible to change a label of a particular screen without changing related labels in other screens. EX scenario :Changing only warehouses (IN204000) description label to Spanish(Argentina) without changing related other screens description labels in SO301000,IN504000 .. screens Used Version 23.108.0020 FYI: I tried but I couldn't make it.Any one have a idea to achieve it?able to change warehouse description labelsales orders description label also changed 

Hi, In the old PC Bennett payroll there was an option for setting up and sending direct deposit paystubs via email. I do not think this exist in the new Acumatica payroll. My question is, has anyone created such a thing and can offer some advice on how to set it up? Thanks, Bob

I have a customer that I cannot publish ANY customizations for. (This is on my development server.)I have 12 different customers running on this server. All of them are fine. However, when I try to publish ant customizations for one particular customer, I get errors.Here is the process:I backup the customer’s database using SQL Server Backup and restore it to my local SQL Server. Hi! May I ask anyone on how to release payment using Pettycash Fund? Petty Cash account is already setup. I just do not know what module to use in releasing payment. Also, is releasing payment using Petty Cash fund affect the GL entries?Thank you in advance!

According to Avalara's documentation, all ERPs must have an option to disable document recording so that, when an invoice is released, it doesn't get added as a transaction in Avalara. Some orders are paid for in the store and some are invoiced for in Acumatica, so it simplifies things to let the store record the document in Avalara. When I import the orders, I need the sales tax to match what was charged. The best solution to this I can think of is to have Avalara just do another calculation for imported orders but to not create a transaction in Avalara at the invoicing stage as that would duplicate our tax liability.I also tried creating a tax zone that allows for tax to be added manually. Can Acumatica be configured to display time in a 24 hr (military time) format? 

We often create backorders since we try to ship out whatever we can as soon as we can. Our shipping software, V-Technologies StarShip, pulls the Declared Value from the CuryOrderTotal field. The problem is that since we’re not shipping the entire order, the declared value is too much. And its the same situation when we send out the backordered items since it still pulls from CuryOrderTotal. This causes the declared value, and therefore, the shipping insurance to be higher than it should be. Has anyone else run into this and how do you solve it? At the very least we’d like to be able to notify our shipping team what the correct declared value should be on the backorder so they can change it in StarShip. I tried to do some calculations in the Pick List form to display it but it never worked consistently.  

Hello,I have 2 extensions fields on the Project page. One is a checked box and the other is a date field. I am trying to set it up so that when the checkbox is checked, the current date is populated into the date field. When the checkbox is cleared, I want the date field to be cleared as well. I have this functionality working on another form but it is custom tables and not extensions. When upgraded last year to 2022R2, we found a new Side Panel in the SO screen show up to view Invoice & Memos of the customer that you are working with in the SO, but it constantly spins and never opens.  Tested in our sandbox as well, with no customizations applied, and it doesn’t work there either.If you try to view the Action in Customization Project Editor it won’t even let you open the Properties of the Action--it’s just blank (see screen shot).  Is this just a corrupted feature?  Anyone else seen this, or more importantly found a resolution?
