I have a generic inquiry that pulls a listing of checks.  I want to export a file using that GI.  However, the bank wants the file to have fixed length fields with NO DELIMITER.  The GI exports the fields using the CSV Data Provider.  The GI can be used to pad fields for the length with formulas, but I don’t want commas in the record.It is important to note that this file is NOT part of the payment processing.  It is a post hoc report that is used to provide to the bank as a “Safe Pay” listing.  The bank uses this file to know that they are not to cash any checks unless they have been provided on the Safe Pay file.  Sergey provided a really nice example of how to write a custom Data Provider https://asiablog.acumatica.com/2016/09/custom-integration-services-data.htmlHowever, it is using CSV as a delimiter.  It seems like every option I can find online involves using a delimiter.One thought I had as a possible solution is to use a SQL view to bring back the data fields in a SINGLE recor

I have been writing some customizations, and I have tried adding new columns to database tables in two different ways.The first way involves creating UDFs inside the Customization Project editor.The second involves direct modification of the database table at the SQL Server level.In either case, we seem to be able to create a PXCache extension that can properly reference the field by its name, as long as we are working with the DAC attached to that table.The obvious downside of method #2 is that there is no mechanism to keep track of these database modifications, unless some sort of patch file apparatus is created by the developer to ensure those columns are created when a new instance is installed or possibly upgraded. There is also the possibility of a naming collision if the developer uses a name for the column that Acumatica subsequently creates in a future release (future column collision).I vastly prefer method number 2 due to its simplicity. Hello, I am having an issue creating a discount that has break amounts. The discount I am trying to create is a manual line discount related to item and customer entities. The discount works if I set the break amount as 0, but will not apply if I set the break amount as anything else. Would appreciate any help on this! 

There is field for Contact Email in SO641010. The expression for it is:=IIF([EmContact.EMail] = null, [EmContact.DisplayName], [EmContact.DisplayName] + ',' + [EmContact.EMail]) When I choose a Contact for my Sales Order, I can’t get this field to populate (the rest of the contact fields populate correctly). I tried giving the contact an email address, I tried setting the Account Email on the Customer, etc. But I can’t get it to populate. Any thoughts?

HI, I am trying to get the employee’s email from a PO in Report Designer. If I try & do a join from the PO to the EPEmployee table & then from the EPEmployee table to the contact table (like the employee PL, EP2030PL)  I get a message that the EPEmployee.DefContactID cannot be bound. I have tried doing a join from POOrder to Contact using the EmployeeID to BAccountID & to ContactID but I cannot get the email address. Any assistance would be appreciated!Thanks in advance!Bill 

Hi,I need to implement such logic that is executed eternally and without user’s actions, after I will deploy my project package for client’s Acumatica.Previously, the extension of functionality was achieved via events, which required the user interaction (By pressing SAVE button).Now, I need to define a code which will be always executed, without any actions,One important moment - is should work if Acumatica IIS process is running, so even if we have not authorized in Acumatica the code inside package that was imported to Acumatica customization must work.Can you. please, provide instruction, where I must locate my code in order to work at any time ?

Hi,Is there a way to view which user confirmed a shipment? The audit history trail seems to exclude that specific action - at least in our environment.

I have entered a customer that was already in our System  I tried to delete it and got an error message that only in planning or canceled customers can be deleted.  I changed the status to canceled but i still get the same message when trying to delete.  Can anyone help with how to delete it?

Is it possible to see a breakdown of total average cost of production into average labor/average material/average overhead and average outside service costs respectively. Is there already a way to do this, is there is sufficient data available to break this out with a custom report or would I need to have a customization to get to this level of traceability? 

It’s clear that the Preview function in Acumatica Report Designer does not align with the PDF output produced by Acumatica. You can set a report to produce PDF output by default: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/54804369/acumatica-report-design-different-when-printed But is there a way to have Report Designer show the PDF output by default in the preview tab? It would be a lot easier to design for PDF output if we could see what that looks like in the Report Designer.

Hey guys,Right now, the default selection of this ‘Company/Branch’ drop down menu is whatever branch you are currently working under. I would instead like the drop down menu to default to the entire company/tenant Any help is much appreciated

Hello,I have a very simple GI I am working on.  I want to select “Receipt” records.The GI works and I can see records where InDocType and TranType have a value of “Receipt” in them.  However, I cannot limit my results with a simple condition on either field I return no records if I add this condition for either field.   

Hi,We are looking to switch some of our custom fields to be unbound. I have switched the custom fields in our Sales Order extension DAC with no problems. However, following these same steps with our Shipment extension DAC, I have run into some issues. I made the changes to the fields in the DAC, but now the fields are completely missing from the Screen page in the Project Editor.Adding the fields back in through the Project Editor UI will give a “duplicate field” error, or it will add the field and not recognize that it exists in the customization code.Has anyone run into this before? I want to add the State to the Vendor ID lookup popup window (selector).  It is not one of the fields that can be added easily as it is not part of the vendor id attribute.There is a well documented way to do this here, but unfortunately, I cannot find where the actual PXSelect statement is to overriden.I found the VendorAttribute which matches the fields that show in the popup window.I thought maybe this method might be what is used to create the results for the selector but when I put a break on this in debug, it is not being fired. In the customization editor on screen AP301000 Bills and Adjustments, the field attribute is shown as follows. Does anyone know where the actual PXSelect statement is for this lookup field?  The code example provided by KishoK in the article mentioned above gives me a boilerplate template on how to do it, I just don’t know where to override the PXSelect that is being used for the popup.Thanks,Joe

Hi,The Tenant is configured with two companies and a one company(Ceramic) have two branches. When creating transactions the system allows to create transactions in between branches and this affects a difference in the branch level TB. Please refer below example.The Midaya Ceramic Pvt Ltd is configured with two branches - Ceramic and CandlesWe have created two warehouses for Ceramic and Candles. I have created a transfer from Ceramic warehouse to Candle warehouse. In this case system creates a journal transaction for both branches affecting a difference in branch level TB.In this case I need a help on avoiding occurring transactions like that since the customer haven’t purchased intercompany transactions. Thank you,Dulanjana

I want to add the “Last Vendor Price” that is shown in the Stock Items screen to the data grid on the “Purchase Orders” screen.I believe this will involve creating a custom non-DB related field in the PX.Objects.PO.POLine DAC.  Then I would get the value from the POVendorInventory table for the respective vendor in the Purchase Orders screen.  I think I would do this in an POOrderEntry_Extension : PXGraphExtension<POOrderEntry> extension as that is the graph used for the Purchase Orders screen.I would get the value to store in the custom field and trigger it with one of the row events.  However, I’m not sure which one to use.  Can someone give me advice on which one of these is the most appropriate? Thank you in advance for your help.  Also, if you think my plan is bad, I’d welcome any suggestions.Joe Schmucker(Noob) 

We are trying to implement the  Daily Field Report for our field employees.  Many of our projects are billed in full before all work is completed due to contracts being a lump sum and not T&M. Once they are billed complete they are removed from Active status to Billed Complete so they are removed from our WIP reporting for that month.  The problem we are having though is that once the job is no longer in “active” status employees can no longer find this job under Projects in the Daily Field Report if they need to add additional hours after it was closed on the accounting side.  Is there a way to have the Daily Field Report continue to show jobs that are in a different status other than just active?
