Is there an easy way (without creating from scratch) to restore a deleted default user role? Looks like a user role that we need has been accidentally removed. Can this be copied from one tenant to another?

Hello all,  I am new here, I am trying to connect SQL with Acumatica for the first time but I have been unable to do it. I’d appreciate any advice. This is the message I get… 

I do not have access to the Acumatica DB on SQL using SSIS.  Is there a way to backup the entire Acumatica DB and then restore it to a test system from inside of Acumatica?I am thinking there is not.  But I want to be sure.Thank you, 

Good morning Acumatica community! We are a very small business on the Acumatica scale so have to weigh cost at a premium. Our business has a large number of stock items that we work with (approximately 7k). While making adjustments to initial configurations, we are burning through a significant portion of our allocated ERP transactions each month and are currently at 90% for October.If we don’t upgrade to a higher tier but use more ERP transactions than our license covers, will we be charged after the fact? And if so, would it be cheaper for us to upgrade ahead of time knowing we will need the increase for two months only? Thank you,Julia

We occasionally send out mass emails to all of our customer contacts in Acumatica.  Let’s say were increasing our subscription pricing for example.  We have a separate system email account (XYZ@company.com) that we use for mass email so that if customers respond back to it or the automatic out of office replies come back, it does not flood our normal sales inbox with those emails, and they go back to the (XYZ@company.com) email account.With sending so many emails out at once, there is a lot of cleanup on those replies, and you have to go into each email and open it up to see if someone has responded, or if it is simply that they are out of the office.  Example, some respond that they are no longer with the company or they don’t want to receive these types of emails any longer.  We want to make sure if someone is no longer with the company we are inactivating their contact record and if they don’t want to be contacted, we aren’t sending them mass emails any longer.  The normal out of of

Hi everyone, We have just launched a new sit for a client. Client has access to 1 licensed and active tenant. We had initially loaded demo sales data into the new site to allow for end users to play around, practice and test the system before we begin actual configuration and data load for the client.  We are now ready to load client's actual data from their old ERP. How can I remove the demo data from this tenant?Am I able to delete tenant 2? will I be able to create another active production tenant?What would be best practice for this situation?Thank you in advance. 

Hello -Is there an easy way to bring in/import all active directory users? Or do these need to be added one by one from the Users screen? If import is feasible, can we “override AD roles with local roles” at the same time?Also, I am a bit confused on the AD Group/User Roles set up. Is this essentially redoing all access roles for every user? Is there no way to get the new AD users to default based on their current set up? Not sure what the quickest route is but as of now it’s sounding like I will need to manually tie the same Acumatica username roles to everyone’s AD user account.

How do I restrict access for users to only one of the two companies/branches?

I have searched, but suspect I’m not using the right terminology.Does anyone have access to, or know where I could find a step-by-step checklist / guide to setting up a new company from scratch.  Eg. Start with Company, then create ledgers, then COA etc. all the way through customers and inventory.Many a time one will start configuring and we might start with trying to import a COA but find we didn’t set up Ledgers first, or try setting up AP Preferences but find we’ve not set up COA for default accounts.  So to see things in the exact order in which to set them up would be super useful. TIA​​​​​

We are a manufacturing company and deal with a lot of numbers! Actually, we all do in business!  Zero’s and alignment issues cause a great amount of strain on the end-user..headaches a lot of them don’t realize they can fix with a monospace font! I’ve changed the ‘Editor Font’ settings under Site Preferences, both on Acumatica hosted and a site our Partner hosts for us, but it doesn’t seem to have any effect.  Luckily Acumatica seems to include most Windows default fonts, which have a few monospace fonts, but how do we get them to display?  They would be particularly useful on the default Generic Inquiry Entry Screens with tables of numbers and letters.  Also, it seems in order to get custom fonts on Reports, the font must already be on the server?  Things like Shipment Number SHI01125 are ripe for confusion with Arial.  Luckily the default font choices do work on the Reports. The site is making this request (on both sites respectively):https://acumatica.SITE.com/SITE/fonts/acumatica-f

I would like to display an Acumatica screen - or a wiki page (via the wiki widget the display is unfortunately not so nice) via an embedded page widget in the dashboard.This way I can also include input screens or the calendar boards from the service management as a side panel.Unfortunately, however, the Acumatica menu tree is also visible in the view. Does anyone have a trick how to hide this menu tree, e.g. via the link?

Hello Experts,I'd like to inquire about setting the Customization Projects and Customization Project Editor screens to "View Only" access.The objective is to prevent users from making any modifications to customization projects, including publishing and editing packages. While I have successfully set "View Only" access for the Customization Projects screen, I've encountered an "Access Denied" error when attempting to do the same for the Customization Project Editor screen.I'd appreciate any guidance on this matter and would like to know if I've overlooked any necessary steps or if there are any specific configurations that need to be addressed.Thank you for your assistance.Regards,Sagar

I created an instance based on SalesDemo and published the customization. Then, if you close the site and reopen it, you will get this error "Database could not be accessed". Has anyone encountered this? What can be wrong with customization? 

Hello - We are currently operating on the Office 365 w/ Azure using the Modern Authentication 0Auth2.0. We had followed the attached instructions and set up the azure portal, and the external application. Everything had been working fine without issue since we set it up. Yesterday, the secret key credentials expired, and we created a new one in our Azure portal, however, since doing that, we are not able to get the system to connect. When testing the “Sign In” feature, we continue to get an error stating that the Tenant ID is not found, even after following all of the steps in the instructions. Any ideas what may be causing this?Thanks!   

Hi I am trying to configure the Path, Login and password for the Synchronization Type of Shared Folder and no matter what i try it gives me an invalid URL or a 1326 error. Can anyone help with the syntax of the Path/Login please. Does this only work if Acumatica is installed locally? 

I just created a test instance for Acumatica for the first time.  However, I cannot do an initial login in my tenat company as admin.  The password I thought I set isn’t working and I have tried different multiple password combinations.  I’ve also tried to searching numerous Acumatica docs and I cannot find any reference on how to login to a tenant for the first time.  I did find a site on the web that said the initial credentials were “admin” and “setup”. However, this didn’t work eitherHow do you reset or change credentials in this case?  Is there a different set of default credentials? Do I need to uninstall this instance and create a new one?  Any help is appreciated.

Hi,Does anyone resolved this access rights scenario without a customization? User A needs access to view Journal Transactions screen in Company AUsar A needs access to edit Journal Transactions screen in Company B. We have customer that has 17 companies and there are going to be in the same tenant and this type of access rights is very common and important. Thanks!

Greetings,We aere just over a year into being Acumatica Parnters and we have a few implementation in progress, which are installed on Acumatica’s SaaS.Does anyone have any expereince, that they can share, on how to setup Device Hub(s) on an Acumatica SaaS based install?So far all the information on Device Hub setup seems to be geared towards PCS (On-premise) installs.   

I’ve noticed that official support for SQL Server is limited to 2019 according to the help documentation for 2023R1.  Has anyone tried running 2022 Enterprise?  Does anyone know if/when 2022 will be fully supported and/or why it’s not supported yet?  Maybe if we’re lucky we can get some insight from @Doug Johnson?  ;)  Thanks! 

We are trying to use Azure Blob storage as an attachment repository. We do not want to allow PUBLIC access to our blob storage so have created a private endpoint. Although we can connect to the blob via SMB share i.e. \\server\share the only options in Acumatica for blob storage according to the documentation is via a shared key or via a mapped drive. Because the Acumatica server is not logged into and runs as a web service the mapped drive is not available. Putting in the \\servername\share is not an option and throws an error. how do we utilise blob?  Any ideas or maybe Acumatica developers can guide us here?Thanks

We are attempting to use “Customer Access” functionality to restrict salespeople from seeing accounts other than their own.We are really struggling to set up an “A” group as that would be the easiest way to control it. “A” inverse works perfectly, but that would create more work when new customers are added.Just a general understanding of how “A” vs “B” is meant to work. Totally understand how the inverse works.
