Acumatica has a built in function to “recalculate” various balances such as vendor and inventory.  We have been live for eighteen months and have never run these “recalculate” functions.  Recently, we noticed an error in our inventory and our VAR suggested we run the “recalcuate inventory” function. We ran the fuction and it fixed our error.  My questions is should we run all of these “recalculate” functions regularly such as monthly or quarterly?  Is there any harm in running these recalculate funtions more often?  

Greetings, I am trying to work though something, but I am hitting a bit of a wall. This is the request of a client. They have a simple AR tran inquiry but instead of pulling all the records, they only want to pull the most recent ar tran line per customer. It needs to be accurate for that line, so I can’t do any grouping since the values don’t generally fall within the min/max/average solutions.

I am trying to release payroll and am receiving the below error. Any idea what could be causing this? Hi All,We are trying to provide an access to a customer, to our internal ERP as we cannot enable Customer Portal due to Multiple base currencies feature been enabled.The approach we are trying to execute is to create an external/ guest user who will have access only to a specific customer related cases with view only access to their cases.When restricting the access i have created a custom GI which was derived from the cases GI CR3060PLHowever, if i revoke access to cases form i do not have access to click the custom GI lines and view the cases in CR306000Is there any possibility for us to only give access to the custom GI and perhaps hide the CR3060PL (Cases) from the customer’s user?Thank you all in advance for your support!

Can Acumatica handle tracking Leave Without Pay?  I need to track the hours but the pay is 0.00. I setup an Earning Type for this and added it to my paycheck test in Paychecks and Adjustments.  I was able to add the earnings detail line with hours and set the pay rate to 0.00 however, during the Calculation process, Acumatica removed the line.  Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

I am trying to adjust a field so that the input is masked like a password field. I have it in my classic UI customization, but I am unable to find any resources for implementing this in the modern UI.The field in question is a base field on an Acumatica page. The field is the “Header Value” field in the “Push Notifications” page SM302000. I have two questions:The first is what and where do I add modifications to adjust this field to be masked as a password? Do I adjust the DAC definition for the modern UI, do I adjust the view definition of this field in an extension .ts file, and/or do I create an html extension field that modifies it?The second question is what would that syntax look like? What specifically do I need to add to create the password masking?I did try to look for examples within the provided Acumatica code, but was unable to find any examples.

What is the best way to track items issued out of inventory to an internal project for accumulation and capitalization to fixed assets? I’m attempting to create an AP Bill that should post to the FA Accrual Account (142920) in order to track the CIP of an asset. Hi,I am trying to close financial period, but there was an error stating: GL Error: The 09-2025 financial period cannot be closed in Accounts Payable.I have checked unreleased documents, but I can't find anything unreleased.  

We recently transitioned to Acumatica and have so issue with ggetting the credit card feed to work. Our company uses Royal Bank Credit Card (Commercial Visa Avion Cards) and we manage these cards thru Visa Spend Clarity Enterprise platform.  We are currently still using Concur Solutions (SAP) because we are unable to connect the credit card feed with Plaid or MX or via SFTP server. Does anyone have experience with Royal Bank and their credit card feed thru Visa Spend Clarity. We have about 50 cards and spend over 250K per month on them so the feed is very important to us. Thanks for your help Bruno

Hi! Is there a way to pull activity notes from the PO screen into a GI?I wasn’t able to use inspect element to find the table that the Tasks & Activities belong to. I know activity is on the CRActivity DAC, but I couldn’t relate it to the POOrder table. I know there is a Note ID field in POOrder, however I am looking for this column in the GI to display the actual body of notes instead of just the title or the note ID. Any idea if this is possible? Thanks!!

Issue Description :-When converting custom screens to the Modern UI, we encounter the following error:Error: The view doesn’t exist.This happens specifically of the custom screens when clicking the Convert to Modern UI action, the system shows the error. Expected Behavior :-Instead of the error, we should be able to download the Modern UI file that corresponds to the respective custom screen.  Thank you in Advance

We currently have our sales order types set to pull from the Customer Location for the “Combine Sales Sub From” setting (so it’s set to LLLL).  We are setting up a new sales order type that we’d like to hard code to a specific subaccount, instead of telling it to pull from somewhere.There are plenty of places to pull the subaccount from (and we use almost none of them), so I could plug it in on the warehouse or even the inventory item and pull from there, but if I am able to plug in a specific subaccount in this field, it would make it even easier.

Hello! We have 15 different locations that need to be set up under one company and we are thinking of either setting them up as 15 different branches or as different subaccounts. Any best practices or pros and cons for doing either branches or subaccounts?We are open to any suggestions!Thanks!

Hi there!  I saw a post on this topic from 2 years ago so looking for a refresh.   We do not use inventory...most of our projects are special order.  That said, we palletize materiala and put them on racks in our warehouse until we can ship them to the job site.   We have a new warehouse assistant.  He would like us to get a printer to print these labels….I am assuming we should also get the capability to read barcodes.  1) Any ideas based on the situation I just described 2) what has everyone else had success with  3) what am I not thinking of :)  Thanks in advance! 

Hello! I am looking to change our inventory ID to our Vendor ID on purchase orders. I’ve seen it done using the alternate ID field but I’ve seen it done with comparing tables and using different techniques. Is it that difficult to do? Please help!Brent

Hello Everyone,We have a multi-company client that makes intercompany sales/purchases for the same items between multiple different companies. Intercompany Sales Order generation requires a default warehouse for the creation of the Sales Order.  Customer and Stock Item default warehouses do not work becuase the same stock item could be sold to multiple different intercompany customers.Is there a way to default the warehouse by the selling branch?   Thank you!Luke

Can anyone point me to resources to easily (low-code/no-code) add a new tab to the Customers area (AR303000)? I’d like to create a tab for some UDFs so I can better control the field grouping and display. I know I can do this through Customization> Manage User-Defined Fields, which adds them to the User-Defined Fields area at the top part of the screen. Is there an alternate way to configure a new tab to house these UDFs? Idealy the new tab would be on the same level as “General; Financial; Billing.”   I noticed that when I was in the customization project choosing ‘add controls’ that I couldn’t get the screen to respond when I chose ‘Tab’ from this list. Thank you for any ideas, it would be ideal to have a separate tab, but if that is not possible without development they can live in the User Defined Fields area.  Version/Build:Acumatica Cloud ERP 2025 R1Build 25.100.0054 +

Bad title perhaps; I’m not an accountant, but they’ve asked me why and I don't know.Not sure how to explain this since, but basically they’re saying somehow the transaction was processed with negative GST.  In the Journal it shows the #’s reversed for this 1,149.91 All others look like this (Debit left column, Credit right): There’s hundreds as above, but this one below the values are in the opposite accounts and no one appears to know how this happened (including myself):  Anyone able to please enlighten me on what may have gone wrong? 

I’ve built a dashboard for our sales manager which shows quarterly information as well as YTD information. Now that it is 2024, I want to provide the ability to toggle between current year data and prior year data. Is there a way to do this with use of an added parameter? The widgets currently pull information based on Order Date is between @YearStart/@QuarterStart, @YearEnd/@QuarterEnd.

I am trying to replicate it but was hoping someone had something similar that I could piggy back off.

We’re integrating with a multi-tenant Acumatica (MYOB Advanced) instance. There are two companies (CompanyOne and CompanyTwo). For each tenant, I created a separate Connected App with its own client ID and secret.Setup: Using OAuth Authorization Code flow Generating an access_token for each tenant’s Connected App Using that token to call the REST API Issue: REST API calls sometimes return data from the wrong tenant. For example, calling with CompanyOne’s token occasionally still returns data from CompanyTwo. Behavior is inconsistent: if both tokens have expired and I refresh them, tenant separation works correctly for a while, but later the API “sticks” to CompanyTwo again.
