Solved

I am looking for any suggestions on how to handle a common pricing issue for our company.  We are distributor of stone related products for fabricators and end users   We are using Acumatica Distribution edition 2021 R1 (soon to upgrade to 2022 R2)Specifically we want to apply a discount to a product (item id#) where discount is calculated off of default price of the item rather than the unit price entered.Assume we can setup a manual discount code to make this happen (the same logic would be applied to either specific list of SKU’s (items) or possibly and item class.  Again we want to apply a specific discount that brings the unit price down to a specific dollar amount based on the default price for the ITEM ID on the sales order form.An over simplistic but real example would be that the default price is $24.49 for Item “A” and want to bring the price down to $20.23 (which is $4.26 each or 17.4% off).  The discount code setup is easy but the application to the sales order line item is

With the Ship Separately feature turned off, we would like to combine sales orders shipping to the same address into one shipment, which is a feature of Process Orders/Create Shipment.Unfortunately, the combine or not combine logic appears to be based solely on the address id key, rather than the same address data (name, address, city, state, postal code). Our customer often uses the override address on sales orders, rather than create permanent customer locations. Acumatica creates brand new records for each new sales order with an overridden address, even though the address data is exactly the same. The combine shipment feature does not work for us because these override addresses will always have different address id’s, even when the address data is verbatim. Is there anyway to either:Prevent new address record if an existing customer address record matches exactly? Or  Configure combine address logic on Process Orders/Create Shipment to look at the address data rather than the addre

Hi Everyone, Anyone knows this issue? I was trying to make a matrix items with three attribute values.

I created a Proforma and released it which created an invoice. This invoice was also released and it was in the “Pay” state. Later, I realized that the “Amount to Invoice” was incorrect. So, I created a credit adjustment for that invoice. Now if I run a Billing for the project the “Previously invoiced amount” is incorrect. I tried to go back to the Proforma to “correct” it but it gave me the below error message.   I am not too sure where to go from here. Any ideas? Please and Thank you!

Our company, for both AP Bills and Purchase Orders, need to have a specific sequence of approvals depending on the dollar amount, and we do not want emails sent to subsequent approvers until the approver before has approved either of the transactions.  I notice on screen EP205000 that is hidden allows for the sequential approvals as wanted, but that the Preference screen look at EP205500 for the approval map which does not include the sequential approvals and also sends all the emails for the needed approvers at one time and allow for an approver to approve the transaction whether lower level approvals have been received or not.  Could it be possible to select which approval screen to use versus being forced to use the EP205500?Also, it would be advantageous to have the Steps on the EP205000 screen similar to EP205500 for the ability to separate the different approvals depending on branches, tenants, etc.

This is our first private cloud installation and though everything is accessible locally (the install was done on a virtual app server with a connection to a virtual db server), I am unsure of next steps to be able to access acumatica externally via chrome. What would the client or we need to provide/set up in order for the site to be accessible like this?I’m assuming they would need to provide certs for https, purchase a public IP address to bind the site to, and we would just need to configure the site under IIS with that information and the hostname (something like acumatica.customerdomain.com). But I’m unsure about all that and whether there needs to be something needed to be done with the domain. Can someone break this down for me? I don’t have too much experience with this sort of implementation. Thanks in advance!

Hi Acumatica,We have some queries regarding the standard capabilities of Acumatica. In Account Code in the Chart of Account Screen is there a way or a setup to exceed for than 10 characters? In Sorting of Account Code. Is there a way not to sort the coding?                               Thank you!

Good that infotips are introduced from 2022R2 onwards.Where do the text reside?I was assuming the text for infotips are in the wiki, but no.Then, I inspect elements and saw this,How can we make full use of this? Thanks.

I have a situation where I would like to conditionally allow users to use the ‘Release’ action on Invoices and Memos, even though their role does not permit them to do it normally. I tried action.SetEnabled(true) and action.SetVisible(true) in the RowSelected event, but this is not working.

I’d like to add a new Activity Type for a customer, but when I click the ‘+’ button, the Class field defaults to “Activity” and I can’t change it.I’d like the Class for the new Type to be “Task” so that the Start Date, Due Date and Reminder fields are available. Is there a way to do this?Thank you!

Hello Acumatica Users :)As it relates to AP automation, do any of you know if there is an auto acquire of images from email into Accounts Payable with templates in Acumatica?   Also, I am wondering if anyone figured out how to get the AP invoice images to pop up on another screen.  (I upvoted Erica’s post on this from 2 years ago - currently under “Pending Review”) Thanks!Kay Howe740-418-5250 cell

I used to be able to copy data from fields in a table, like the sales order details, or a generic inquiry. All I had to do was highlight the field in the table and hit CTRL+C. In the 2022 versions, I cannot seem to to do this anymore. Has it been deprecated or do I need to toggle a setting? No one wants to OPEN an invoice, when you just want to Copy the ID from an inquiry, same for Inventory ID’s, etc. Hoping it’s a bug in 2022 R2 or maybe something weird with Windows 11. This is a big loss for a lot of our functions. Thanks!

Good day,When creating a PO Prepayment the non-stock items and cost are not being added to the Create Prepayments screen; only the stock items. Is there a setting or something that is required to ensure that both stock and non-stock items are included on the Create Prepayment.  We are using 2022 R1.Thank youEvan

Hello,I am very new to Acumatica and I’m attempting to figure out the best setup for project manager user roles/access. We want them to be able to look at project budgets/costs. What roles have others granted project managers so they can see project costs, but really not anything else?

How do I print employee W2s?

Hi Community!,I’m trying to add deault staff names to calendar Board from Service Orders  default staff tab , I’m unabel to find a way to add FSSOEmployee DAC to the list is there any specific way or process to add it.

My company would like to send out email notifications if the cost of certain items has changed.Ideally, the notification would include a table with a format similar to the following. But I have not found a way to access the “old” cost once the value in the cost field has changed.Item Code Old Cost New Cost ABC123 $1.00 $2.00  Is there any way to report the previous field value within a notification? Thanks!

Hello, I want to implement an approval map in a custom screen but I can't do it, I found this linkhttps://stackoverflow.com/questions/32400353/how-to-work-with-assignment-and-approval-maps-in-acumatica-via-automation-stepsbut with this example when I want to create a new document that will be approved I get the error“Object reference not set an instance of an object” I also found this other linkhttps://www.acumatica.com/blog/implementing-approval-process-on-custom-screens/but the information is incomplete and a bit outdated

Hi,My generic inquiry won’t display the data unless I pick anything from my parameter (Customer)first, then I need to delete it when I don’t need that filter yet. Given that the date is already specified, shouldn’t it display the data as soon as I open it?I think this also causes my pivot table to not display anything.Appreciate any help!

Hi community,I saw that I can export a generic inquiry as a report and it will inherit its tables, relationships, etc. But is it possible to do vice versa? Thanks!

Hi All,I want to make a GI for Sales Order, I have tables SOOrder and SOLine, I got the fields of SOOrder to display and of SOLine not. The thing is, 1 SOOrder can have multiple SOLine details (1 SO, multiple inventory items). I think it won’t display because of that, is that correct? But how I be able to get it?Thank you in advance!

Hi All,Does anybody knows what I can put in the value to group the ‘salesperson’ and display total of its netsales above my report? Please help, thanks!

Hello,Initially, I found the Status and Customer columns narrow in width, so I just dragged the sides to stretch them. The Status content adjusted, but the customer content would not. I didn’t specify width in the GI creation, and even if I do, still no changes. Where should I make a change? Thanks!

Hi all,I am trying to make generic inquiries for the first time, but I got troubles. Can somebody please take a look at my set up?My result is, after specifying the SO Nbr and SO Type, the results grid still gives all and doesn’t filter based upon my parameter. Can someone point me to where I set it wrong? Thanks a lot!

In Acumatica, program ID BC.50.10.00 in the vanilla version, refers to a BigCommerce integration. At the same, we created our own modules and one of the modules, is called Budgetary Control, with the acronym BC.  We also have our own form with program ID BC.50.10.00, which is Open and Close Budget Year. What impact would a program with same ID do, to the following areas of Acumatica?Database Site Map Wiki Form ReferencingThanks in advance.
