Solved

My background is C#, T-SQL, and ORMs like EF.  I’m continually having issues wrapping my head around the Acumatica paradigm.  Something as simple as conditionally adding a row to the DB with the user’s ID (if one isn’t present) to a custom master table (UserPriceComparison) escapes me. And then, I need to re-save the row whenever the user changes the form - and also refresh the details view.The reason for all of the above is that the complex pivot and aggregation logic I need to create is not performant anywhere except inside of a T-SQL view, which uses the values in the master table to do thing that I can’t explain here.While my instinct is to ask the question, I can predict that the first thing that will happen is that someone will ask to see my code.  Pretend I don’t have any.  This should be, what, 10 lines of code at most? private void CreateFilterWhenMissing()  // Call on load?  Or later. {     var u = PXAccess.GetUserID();     // Get the existing row for the current user     Emp

I am working on a customization to create a tab item on the projects page to house company-specific information. The name of the tab is the name of the company. I need to make this tab item only visible to people that are in that company in Acumatica. Our Acumatica instance is set up with 5 companies, 0 branches.Ideally, I would love to only show the tab item when the user is in that company since some people have access to multiple companies. But so far I haven’t seen anything suggesting that is possible. It looks like my best bet is Access Rights By Screen. Each user has user roles based on their company as well as their job role. So my thought it to set the access rights by screen to only show the Company 1 tab item to people with the Company 1 user role. But I can’t figure out how to get the tab item to show up on the Access Rights By Screen page. Under “projects” I see all of the out-of-the-box tab items, but not the custom one that I created. Thanks in advance for any advice!

In 2021r2, the compiler complains about obsolete PXReportTools and ReportProcessor methods.  And also, "SettingsProvider" does not have an "Instance" property so, this is causing a build error. How can I fix this? Below is the code snippet currently I’m using.      //Report Processing PX.Reports.Controls.Report _report = PXReportTools.LoadReport(“AP621C1”, null);PXReportTools.InitReportParameters(_report,parameters,SettingsProvider.Instance.Default);ReportNode reportNode = ReportProcessor.ProcessReport(_report);//Generation PDFbyte[] data = PX.Reports.Mail.Message.GenerateReport(reportNode,ReportProcessor.FilterPdf).First();

Hi Community,I have a requirement to update the project's revised budget based on a cost forecast and it should be subject to approvals. I have investigated the following options.Create a Budget forecast and update the revised budget. This is possible but the budget forecast does not allow it to collect approvals before updating the budgets. Create a cost projection and it is subject to approvals. However, it does not update the project's revised budget and it updates the projected budget columns.  Change Orders are not an option since it is not connected to forecasting. Do you have any suggestions for me to handle the above requirement?

How do I set up the Expense Module to be able to see all the expense receipts and claims.  I am assigned the Admin role.  However, I don’t have the ability to see all employee expense receipts and claims.  I can all view my employee numbers.  I didn’t set the security.  Any ideas how to make this change.  My work around is to log on to the user to troubleshoot issues.Evan

Hello All, I have an issue with access rights with 24R1 (no issue with 23R2).I have an action that opens custom report but it doesn’t work because of the error: "You have insufficient rights to access the object (IC970001).".I tested accessing to this screen directly from the link and got a blank screen.I have tried to change access rights to “Granted” for this report from “Access rights by screen”. Then it starts working.But when I add access rights to Customization Project and publish it I lose settings for Generic Inquires (checkbox “Replace Entry Screen with this Inquiry in Menu” is no longer selected).I also found in the 24R1 Release Notes:If a site map node does not exist in the target instance, the site map node will not be available for any roles; the access rights will be set to Revoked. That is, after the customization has been published, the system administrator should grant the access rights explicitly.In my case I have site map node (but without Workspace an category) But
