We have several projects in different states, other than our own that our technicians are working. How do we process a paycheck to withhold from the state they are performing the work for those hours, in addition to the hours working at our home base.If an employee lives in Texas, but is working in Arkansas for a week, will the project allow for his time to be charged to the state where the withholding will need to occur (Arkansas)?
How do I print employee W2s?
In our case, the supervisor would be entering the number of days that a per-diem should be paid per pay period. The rate will be tied to the project (i.e. all employees working on the same project would get the same "per diem" amount for each day they worked). It would be paid as a lump sum (un-taxed) total per paycheck, based on the number of days the employee worked on one or more “per diem” projects.P.S. In our case they will be sending time entries to a third party ISV, but this could apply to a client that uses Acumatica payroll as well.Any thoughts?
Our employees are trying to view their payroll check stub in the Acumatica profile, but it shows a trace error. Anyone else experience this? It has worked all year, but recently stopped.
Hello, I would like to be able to reprint an employee’s pay stub after the paycheck has already been released. Is there a way to do this? When I go to the Pay Stubs screen, it’s blank.
when I go to employee card, to user info, it is showing not created. How can I add the employee card ? , see below:
Today - the Tax engine for Payroll is now reporting 2022 AZ SIT withholding rates.LAST week - before the first payroll, the client used tax maintenance and the 2023 AZ SIT rates were displayed and all employees were set to 0. The client has diligently updated all employees with the default rate, then employee selected rate when they submitted the new forms. But now all the rates just reverted back to 2022 rates.anyone else have this issue? better yet, how do we get the 2023 rates back? Running Tax Maintenance does not populate the 2023 rates?
Hi Team Acumatica,We have recently implemented acumatica. For employee salary processing is there any integration available for acumatica with Wise/Payoneer/Veem platform?? Best Regards,Jewel
Up until last week, the Payroll Personal View dashboard that is “out of the box” was working in showing payroll information for our employees. For our employee’s direct deposit last week, it stopped showing data and this week it is completely blank. Has anyone encountered this issue and how were you able to fix the problem? We have not altered this dashboard in any way. I did also try and do a “Reset to Predefined” in the Dashboard configuration screen and that did not work either. Current View:
Good morning Acumatica users! Are you aware of a quarterly 941 summary produced by Acumatica? Here is an email thread from our employee that processes payroll to our VAR (it’s easiest to start at the bottom - and screenshot from our VAR is attached.)..and Thanks to anyone who reads this! :) : They would have to combine three different reports just for the 941 returns. Seems like it should be way easier than this. Thanks, Candace Moore Hi Candace, Have you ran any of the Annual Reports or any of the “Employee” Inquiries? The Annual Reports are grouped by the quarter, but do not show grand totals. The Inquires are also grouped by the quarter and they also have grand totals. Please let me know if you have any additional questions or if you would like to setup a meeting to discuss in more detail. Tammy,I’m looking for what Acumatica is, I guess you’d say, telling Aatrix what should be done for taxes on the employer end. For instance, what pulls into AP when I pull in the weekl
We have a unique situation where employees sometimes need pay advances for whatever reasons. These are usually paid back each pay period based on a fixed amount. I am wondering if anyone has dealt with this and what the best way would be to set this up in Acumatica Payroll so that repayment deductions can be made each pay period.
Hi, We have a customer who owns time & expense management and payroll. They would like to explore integrating the time entry in time and expense mgt with payroll. My only issue is that i can not seem to find a way for a released timecard to make it into the payroll system.Does time entry integrate with payroll or is the integration and export/import? Thanks
We’re trying to build a Generic Inquiry for a user that wants to analyze GL entries for a project, and for Payroll transactions they want to use the actual Date that is set on the Earnings tab. We looked deeply at the GLTran and PREarning tables and the PRReleaseProcess graph and cannot find anything that links both; in other modules such as AR/AP the GLTran.TranLineNbr would help us achieve this, but I cannot find anything corresponding in the payroll module. Are we missing something here, or is that simply missing from the payroll release process today?
Will we need a subscription to Aatrix to pull in the latest tax tables? We will not need the service they provide to produce our W2s/W3, or payroll tax returns for the quarters and annually. While testing the system, the EEO-1 report will not generate info? Is Aatrix needed for this? How does the tax tables get updated?
Hello, When releasing our past expense claims we found an odd error in the system. on the Claim below, the total equals $104.83 but the sum of the expense receipts on the claim totals $84.28, giving a difference of $20.55. What would cause this error? This is the first time we have found it and want to ensure this does not happen moving forward, in this case, we are overpaying expense claims.Thank you,KT
This is a follow-up to an earlier question- where Denise indicated that there is (or will be?) a secondary setting for “x” projects to be posting to the GL. Where is this setting to be found and configured? We have entered timecards and posted to projects with the GL Posting turned on. Time to projects got posted in a GL batch, however time to the <x> project (which included the Holiday time and normalize time) did not get dollarized into a GL Batch. This is on 2021 R1 with no Payroll enabled.

Ohio Payroll taxes can often be complex when determining the correct setup of applicable tax coding for employees and work locations. The Symmetry Tax Engine will identify ALL potential taxes in certain situations, namely JEDD/JEDZ. A more focused geolocation tool will be released in the Fall of 2022.An additional aid to use in the validation of setup is Ohio’s “The Finder” https://thefinder.tax.ohio.gov/StreamlineSalesTaxWeb/default_taxdistrictsummary.aspx Please keep in mind these are only aids, and your TAX PROFESSIONAL should be validating all tax configurations.
I am looking for a 401k report by payperiod for upload to the 401k provider (or Generic Inquiry). What is the best report to start with for customization that includes deduction by payperiod and YTD total earnings and hours? ThanksSharon
I was recently notified that one of our field union employees was paid sick leave for a day that he actually worked. I need to process an adjustment check, backing out the sick leave he was paid and entering the time he actually worked. I am not able to create a check and use negative hours. What is the correct way to handle this?
We have a client who is getting ready to go-live with payroll. They have a multi-state payroll with many unions and many certified projects. They have just told me that they have several employees who live in one state (e.g. WI), but work in a different state (e.g. IL) and there is reciprocity between the states. So the employee can choose which state that want for State Income tax withholding. Which isn’t a big deal, it can be done with the Work Location. Here’s the kicker….The unemployment tax has to be go to the state worked, regardless of the state the employee chooses for withholding. In my example, the employee lives in WI and want state income tax withholding in WI, but works in IL so the system needs to calculate IL SUTA tax. Any ideas on how to achieve this?
When creating a new Paycheck using Paycheck and Adjustments (PR302000). After entering and selecting Employee “Maxwell Baker” and Pay Period “06-2021” and navigating to the Taxes Tab. The correct Taxes are populated. Doing the same for pay period “AA-2021” , the Tax Codes also populate correctly. The problem arises when selecting a Pay Period in the next year, Pay Period “01-2022”. When a Pay Period from 2022 is selected the Tax Codes do not populate. Any insights as to why the Taxes would not populate would be greatly appreciated. Examples below. Pay Period 06-2021: Pay Period AA-2021: Pay Period 01-2022:
Hey All,As the payroll module comes more into fruition there are some strengths and weaknesses. The strengths are government reporting, withholding calcs, liability calcs, etc. but it really fails from the standpoint of getting information in there (what are the actual numbers/withholding percentage), maintaining the information, and then requiring a user to process the payroll when many people tend to lean towards outsourcing it.With that being said, has anyone had success with running a faux payroll to generate the project transactions/facilitate reporting/etc. but then allow an external provider to actual pay the employees based on an export file? Additionally, from the front end, getting that HRM data in there without having to manually maintain it.Just curious about the limitations of the system and how people solve for it. Essentially need the calcs but need a way to send to an external provider for payment as well as tying in the front end HRM.
Hello! Does anyone have a favorite payroll report for showing QTD or MTD company totals? I see ones with employee totals, or totals for a particular pay period, but none that have company-wide totals. If anyone has helpful payroll tax reporting reports they use and would be willing to share ideas, please message! Thanks.
Is it possible to use Acumatica Payroll for EU country? How to process employee pays without using the Tax engine in Payroll?
