I am trying to create production orders from a sales order, but I keep getting this message:Creating production orders: At least one item has not been processed.I have done this hundreds of times, but I have never had this difficulty before. What am I missing here?
Why does the link to a Sales Order become null and void once I close production orders at the end of a period? In order to properly align our WIP activities with production, I would like to Close all completed production orders. However, this causes issues on the shipping end with our Sales Orders. Is this a common problem?
I am trying to set up the automatic email function where I can email a PO to a vendor but am unsure where I need to add the vendor contact and speicify that they are a PO recipient. I can’t seem to find any other threads regarding this issue. Can someone please help with this?
Is there a process that would disassemble a configured - serialized item?My first thought was that I have to reference the production order the item was produced on, but I have not been able to get the results I need with what I’ve tried.
Good dayI have created a production order in my main tenant and on trying to release the Material transaction I am getting this error message “Error: Inserting 'IN Transaction' record raised at least one error. Please review the errors. Error: 'Reason Code' cannot be empty.”The reason codes are defined and set under the Inventory Preferences, how do I resolve this issue?
As part of our manufacturing process we outsource components or services that we cant establish as individual stock items. For example, part of production might involve sending elements off to be powder coated before they are sent back to us for being assembled. We raise a PO for these services using a non-stock inventory code.I am yet to find a way to record these costs on the production order, they are expensed on receipt and unlike a true inventory item they don't backflush and cant be allocated as cost to the production order. As a result our cost of production is never 100% accurate as these service elements are never included.Has anyone found a solution to this?
MRP and Production Orders (Scheduling Method Finish On or Start On) use a straight run time calculation to manage dates, not taking into account Crew Size for the work center. Can Acumatica MRP and Production Orders take crew size into account? Here’s the conflict as the system works today. In order to make MRP and Production Order dates work, you would have to add run time to the BOM equal to the straight time, and then adjust your work center Standard Cost equal to your rate x the crew size. For example, if a BOM takes 10 hours to move through a work center, but you have a crew size of 3, really I would like to put 30 hours (man hours) of run time in that operation, and put your real standard cost rate (for one person) on the work center, say it’s $25/hr. But to make MRP and Production Order dates work properly, currently in the system you would have to put 10 hours straight time as the run time and adjust your work center Standard Cost rate to $75 in order to account for the labo
I need to create 2 user roles and assign permissions to it for:1. Sales Price Worksheet: AR2020102. Sales Prices: AR2020003. Customer Price Classes: AR208000One is a view-only role, the other will be insert/delete.When I go to Access Rights by Role, there is no option (+) to create a new role. And without a role I can’t add permissions (View/Insert) to a group.None of the existing roles with access will work, as this is for a new group (Sales team) to have access and the groups are financial roles mostly.Any help would be appreciated, thanks!
I researched all the articles that came up and not sure I am getting to an answer. We have a client that creates production from a sales order. In the BOM they have pictures at the step level. prior to Acumatica it was done in word which is a no brainer. But now that they are automating, they want to produce the router with the image on the print out.
I am trying to modify the Configuration Entry Screen (AM306000) to add an image selector. This is what I’m trying to do, but even though I was able to add the ‘FILES’ menu to the toolbar, clicking on it produces an error, as though it can’t figure out how to add files to this screen, most likely because this screen is not a main screen and is called from several places. The image control itself I was able to create, but the browse/upload buttons do absolutely nothing, like it is read only. Is it possible to do what I’m trying to achieve or am I going to drive myself mad figuring this out? I also saw this feature suggestion from 4 years ago that matches what I’m trying to do for the most part
Hello, I was wondering if anybody knew of a way to link part numbers together. We have a RAW part number XXXXX-R which can either get polished or powder coated. Once they are polished or powder coated, we receive them back in under the same part number minus the R XXXXX less (-R). This will mean that we have 250 finished parts in stock but the RAW part was taken out of inventory. It may take 6 months to get down to 100 parts where we need to order more but the system is already telling us to order the RAW part as soon as it is polished or powder coated because the RAW part was taken down to a quantity of 0 in the system. Is there a way to link the finished part to the RAW part so that when the finished part is down to 100 it tells us to order the RAW part for 250?
How to create a new MRP report for the new Product workgroup?
When creating a production order from the Critical Materials screen, it creates a linked production order with an end date based on the parent order start date, not the parent order’s operation start date. We would rather it reference the operation start date, not the order start date. Is there a setting we need to change that can accomplish what we’re trying to do?
I have a Production Order MOVE transaction stuck in Balance status because the production order was completed on a different MOVE transaction. So the MOVE transaction in Balance status cannot be RELEASE nor DELETED.Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
When we get a hot or urgent sales order entered in Acumatica, we need to find a way to identify all the orders that are created via MRP or Create Orders for this sales order. Is there a way we can mark/tag/flag/color code the resulting orders to be able to easily pick and process accordingly?
Is there any way to view all the transactions affecting the WIP account for a particular production order?
A client has a need to change the warehouse on several BOM’s, does anyone know of or have a solution for this? I can’t seem to find a way to change even if I put the BOM back on Hold.
What is the best way to set-up and create purchase orders for non-inventory items like office supplies? We are a manufacturer, but these items are not stock items, nor are they raw materials. Our process is to create a purchase order for any purchases over $500. The PO needs to list a description of the item, price, quantity and extended price on the invoice. A receipt is required for all items on the purchase order.Obviously, we don’t want to set-up item IDs for all these miscellaneous and one-off purchases. Thanks for the help.
Currently we have it set up that you can add ‘enter record note’ to an invoice. This is something we want to keep - however we need to remove these from printing on the invoice. There is some reference to this being possible using Report Designer. How would one go about completing this change? Thanks
HelloI was wondering how I could scrap some Raw Materials from materials already released to Production Order.I know that for Finish Goods it is done in Labor or Move screens via Scrap Qty.But how to proceed scrapping for Raw Materials in order to have actual data and not to make it by BOM - scrap factor? The use case is that our Customer from plastic industry applies for each Production Order some more quantity of raw material than in BOM and at the end of production some of that raw material can turn into waste.I would be grateful for any tipps. Thank you in advance.
We are preparing our system for go live and would like to upload some sales figures from this year into the Generate Forecasts form to predict next years (2024) demand. I have extracted the figures from our current system and am preparing an upload into the screen below. The upload will be a list of items c/w begin and end dates and quantities. My question is; do I enter the begin and end dates for each month as historical (e.g. between 01/05/23 & 31/05/23 we sold 35 of a particular item) or predicted (e.g. between 01/05/24 & 31/05/24 we think we are going to sell 35 of a particular item based on last years’ sales)?
We have a need to be able to put multiple replenishments on a single item within the same warehouse. Our case for it is that our inventory control teams need to be able to deliver an item to a production line (Warehouse) in different locations. We use a Warehouse in Acumatica for each production line. But we can’t apply a replenishment for that warehouse because we have a single item occur multiple times on that production line. So we have to use a 3rd party system to notify our inventory control team to deliver the items to the production line. We would love to be able to no longer use that system but rather utilize the replenishment through transfer feature in Acumatica. Any suggestions would be great!
Is anyone aware of how to override the default replenishment settings on an import scenario for stock items?
Interesting situation - a production order with WIP balance and a user Canceled it by mistake. There doesn’t seem to be any path of correcting this user error. I was wondering if community might have any thoughts?
We have recently deployed Acumatica in a live environment, but have noticed some issues on the costing. It appears that if a Production Order Detail uses material with UOMs other than the base UOM, any negative move would lead to backflushing negative Material Issues of incorrect quantities and amount. To illustrate this, we tested two production orders - one with materials in the base UOM (KG), one in materials not using the base UOM (MTON). Both are using average valuation / no serial lot tracking, and have negative quantities enabled in Item Class. We released a move transaction with 100 qty, then perform a full reversal of the 100 qty by releasing negative move transactions with -1 qty, -50 qty, and -49 qty. We noticed that the initial incoming 100 qty is treated and converted correctly in both cases. Material in Base UOM Base UOM - Material Issues reversed accurately However, for non-base UOMs, the reversing Material Issue is incorrect and leaves behind a discrepancy in the WIP
