I need help to figure out whats best to handle a production order that has been closed and still says there’s a balance remaining to produce even though you have scrapped some of the order that needed to be fulfilled and we don’t wish to issue more material to complete the order. For instance we wanted to produce 10 nozzles and issued the materials that were needed to full that order but 2 of them were damaged in the process. In the move transaction we moved the 8 the were completed and in the scrap section we put 2. Since we produced 8 and cant issue anymore material.What would be the best way to approach something like this since someone closed the order and can’t back track it?

Hi Everyone,Currently, we are working on the customization where we need to identify the level of the BOM/Subaseembly at the Production order level.We are looking to fetch the Level information while triggering the 'GENERATE ORDERS FOR SUBASSEMBLIES' action in the Production Order Maintenance screen.In the standard Acumatica, nowhere in the physical tables, we have this information maintained always. Hello,We have a multi-level BOM that requiresOutside Processing at the Sub-Assembly level The Components require shipment to the Outside Processing Vendor (“Vendor Shipment)Issue:When Running MRP at the top level Finished Good level - MRP Display will suggest the creation of the Sub Assembly Production Order But MRP will NOT suggest the Components on the Sub Assembly that are marked for “Vendor Shipment”. (It does suggest if a Component is short and is marked as Regular)Options that I tested If a Production Order is created for the Sub Assembly and MRP is run - it will suggest Prod Order for the Sub-Assembly. The problem is 2 fold - There are Sub Assemblies that are 3-5 deep and hence will require a lot of effort to create and keep track of all the Prod Orders and Components required. We want our manager to have the opportunity to approve PTO in Acumatica.  I’m not sure if we have the correct modular installed.  What modular is require?

What’s the best way to block or place a certain quantity of an item on hold in Acumatica?  This would be useful if you have missing inventory and want to have that amount not show as available for production while you look for/investigate it prior to returning back to available or writing it off.

Upgraded to 2022R2 last week.  I was attempting to remove material previously allocated to a production order incorrectly.  I was able to put in the negative quantity but the dollar amount is positive.  The unit cost selection is grayed out so I couldn’t change the value.  Once released, it was actually adding to the production order total rather than decreasing by the amount removed.  My example below shows how the amounts worked prior to upgrade.  Anyone else experience this?  

I’m attempting to troubleshoot a problem we’re seeing on a client site running 22.205.0026 where the production order hyperlink on the Operations Tab of the Multiple Production Clock Entry form does not create the pop-up for the order. On the Clock Entries tab, the link will work. More puzzling is that I’ve tried the link on different sites and do not have the problem (one was the same release as mentioned above).I believe I’ve added the site to my pop up allow list for the browser. I’ve tried different browsers after checking the pop up setting. I’ve made sure all customizations were unpublished and still cannot click that particular hyperlink. I’ve also experimented with production order type settings to see if that has any affect but have not found a setting that has any impact on the link problem.Has anyone else encountered the issue? I’ve been combing through the known issues list and am not finding a specific topic that explains this problem.

For the Production with Outside Processing process, can we partially receive stock items and have them show On-hand in the warehouse with the purchase order on Open status?  I’ve done all the steps as guided, but on step 10, when creating the Move transaction, the received stock items don’t show up on the warehouse (on-hand) until the purchase order status is changed to completed or closed. We would like to have the purchase order open and continue receiving items from the vendor until the order is fully received. Are there any settings/steps that I’m missing?  Thank you,  

We just upgraded to 2022 R2 and we’re having issues with MRP detail inquiry not pulling in Qty On Hand, Safety stock, Replenishment source, Replenishment warehouse, Transfer lead time.  This is happening intermittently.  I can run MRP and it won’t plan correctly on a particular part and rerun and it will plan correctly.  We are utilizing multiple warehouse and the items are set up correctly in Item Warehouse Details replenishment settings.

Hi All,Does anyone have a solution to adding items on the fly to the configuration entry on the Sales Order? I want to add a Non-Stock Item for example, is there a way to do that? I am also looking to change the prices of the child items, however you can not see those prices on the configurator. I know you can change the item total overall but not the child items.  

Has anyone (customer or partner) integrated with Propel PLM? We are planning to use QBuild/CADlink to build this connection but wanted to see if any one else has already done so.

 Acumatica has told us that the only way to update an open Production Order is to manually place the order on hold go to the operation, click the work center and adjust and save the order.So today I started taking a look at how this works.First, I adjusted all the operations in dept 400 on our Production OrderThis adjustment was changing the OH from 2.9 to 2.05 inside the production order.Next, I created a labor batch for 1 minute on Operation 0050.The Cost transaction Backed out the excess overhead from past labor imports in Operation 0050.I discovered that these labor transactions did not necessarily “true” up all the changed OH operations until we did our final move into inventory on the SFO.From this, I have a few questions/assumptions I am hoping to get verified.This “truing-up” process will only do this in the current financial year and open financial periods (we have some long-running orders that would cross the yea

I am wondering how other folks might be handling the following scenario.  We have a production order of 100 with 50 completed. We have an order of 10 being requested as an “emergency” order. In the past, we would just do a partial to put this into inventory and ship it out. However, what happens is this absorbs all of the cost onto the 10 then adds the other items in @ 0 cost. However, this causes a lot of cost issues. I am sure we can't be the only manufacturer that does this type of thing. I would love to know how others handle this.  

We have a customer that needs to be able to issue materials using the Scan Materials and then after the production run is completed, return the balance from the Production Order to inventory.  There is a remove function on the Scan Materials form but it only appears to work within an existing batch.  Entering a negative number causes an error that something else has updated the batch record.  If all of the material was issued initially, the user gets a message that the inventory would go negative when the Item Number is entered and does not allow you to advance to the Qty to return or remove.Has anyone else created a customized Scan Materials form that allows the user to return materials from a Production Order?  The Materials will be lotted items as well.

I have added a second shift to my work center for 8 hours. My scheduling blocks are set to 1 hour in my Production Preferences. The second shift has its own calendar. I ran the APS maintenance. Then when I look at capacity, the work center shows 40 blocks of capacity. It showed 40 blocks when I had one shift. Now that I have added a shift I would have expected the capacity of this work center to increase to 80 blocks per week.I have deleted work centers, re-added them, recreated calendars and runt he APS process each time and nothing changes?

Is there no approval mapping in the production order module?We want to add approval mapping and assignment to production orders for certain transaction type, but there is not approval tab in the production order settings.

I am trying to disassemble some serialized items and wanted to know if tying the disassembly to the production order would help overcome this hurdle? If so, then how do I tie them together? TIA!

If you look at this screenshot from a BOM, only after exposing the Operation DB ID, could I tell why I completed labor at Work Center 475, why it created an Inventory Receipt and completed a Production Order. Thanks to Auditing, I could see that even though the grid sorted by Operation ID, Acumatica thinks Operation 15 in Work Center 910 is the last step in the Production Order. The last two steps are still not Completed, the status is released, the first 4 steps are.It created an issue for the obvious reasons. I would say that Acumatica is working as designed as when the last step is completed from a labor standpoint, it will create the Inventory Receipt. We completed Operation 20 in Work Center 475 and it completed all of the steps prior to. But Labor is completing previous operations in Work Center Order, yet the Labor calculati

Am I missing something when I’m scanning materials to a production order? The workflow for using a scanner has been (in other modules) you scan your location, item, then you get this fun kind of conditional branch:You can set the qty, scan a different item, or scan a new location.When scanning in a production order, once I’ve scanned an item, I am forced into one of two paths: Set Qty or Scan Production ID.Why am I not allowed to scan another item, or another location for another item in the same Operation in the same Production ID?Instead of making nice loops, I’m forced to scan:Production ID OP ID Location Item Set Qty Confirm Form or repeat from Step 1.I want to repeat from Step 4 (or 3 as needed). Is this something I need to configure? Seems weird to keep feeding the system “header info” when it already has it

What is the best practice when it comes to Inventory Replenishments versus MRP. In what cases does it make sense to utilize IN replenishments and in what cases does it make more sense to use MRP?If I am implementing MRP for a client, then should I even utilize IN replenishments or utilize MPR Only?From my understanding, it sees I should use IN Replenishments for items that have nothing to do with a BOM. For any item (FS, Sub Assembly, Raw Material) that’s included in a BOM, it seems that MRP is better suited for such stock-items. Wondering how other consultants approach this.  

Mobile app and Manufacturing - Is there a way to make Move transactions against Production Orders inside of the Mobile App?  If so, any direction on which settings might need to be changed to pull this off?
