Closed Production order with Unreleased Material. How to correct ?

Hey community ! Hope you are all doing well!

I have a a production order which is completed but still has some material that has not been released.
I am unable to release it now and the late assignment is not doing anything.
The inventory is also showing up on allocation details as Production demand, wanted to clean this out before we start using MRP.

Allocation Details

Can someone please help in understanding how to fix this. Also, to avoid this in future, if I select do not allow in the following setting, this will not allow users to complete the production order until the material is issued/allocated to the production order correct?

Hi @adalvi63 

 

With the Data Entry Settings you have selected, you should be able to release a new Materials transaction on this Completed order to issue the Qty. Remaining.

Regarding the Under Issue Material setting, yes, with that option set to Do Not Allow, users will not be able to complete the production order until the material is issued.

Do you know how I can resolve the materials that are not issued on the production order but the production order is complete.

Hello, 

We are getting somewhat of the same issue when not all materials on the BOM are showing up on the Materials Wizard 2, I'm able to do a partial release or materials and attempt to release the rest of the materials later, when i try nothing pops up.

I changed the “Data Entry Settings” to “Do Not Allow” for Under Issue Materials and when i try to do the move i receive the error that not all materials are issued to the order, but when i go and try to release the rest of the materials, the page blank.
