How to allow employees work in different locations?

Hello all,If I have 2 branch locations, have employees in one and employees in the other. How can I assign appointments to an employee that doesn't have that branch as their 'home' branch. Thanks.

Field Service Survey

Hi All,When providing service, technicians must answer a set of questions regarding the equipment's condition or the service provided.Once completed, the answers will be sent to the customer as a reportI have seen some posts about the Acumatica Survey. However, this feature has been built like a form, that will be sent out to collect feedback and it doesn't work for people using Field Service.So I question how the other companies are using the Field Service Feature facing this issue.Are there any solutions for the Field Service Survey? because this is not a special business process.Best regards,Yên Chi

Service Contract Schedules - Last Generated

We have been using service contracts in ACU since 2020. Since our new update we are no longer able to adjust the ‘Last Generated’ date on the schedules which used to allow us to regenerate after making any necessary changes to the line items. Is there another way to accomplish regenerating? Thanks in advance!!

Appointments appear back in 'Run Appointment Billing' after invoice correction

I had to correct some sales order invoices to remove a non-stock item that was on each of them. Why do the appointments for these go back into run billing? And how do I get rid of those so that they don’t get processed again? Thanks!

Modify the Last Billing date of Service Contract

Hi,I’m creating some historical service contracts through an import scenario. With that I want to add a date to Last Billing Date to avoid creating invoices starting from the beginning of the contract when running the billing for the first time. ServiceOrder Billing - Bill Actual Amount From Appointment

Hi everyone, I have a created a service order billing cycle:Run Billing for: Service Orders Group Billing Documents by: Service OrdersIn an appointment I have a service item with an estimate of 4 hours but the actual qty is 6 hours. After closing the appointment the item is transferred to service order for billing.However instead of the actual amount of 6 hours the only 4 hours are billed when running billing. If I change the billing cycle to: Run Billing for: Appointments Group Billing Documents by: Service Ordersnow billing is moved to the appointment which will create multiple invoices which isn’t what we want. Changing the billing cycle: Run Billing for: Service Orders Group Billing Documents by: Appointmentis not permitted by the system. Is there a way to to make service orders bill the actual amounts and qtys from the appointments? Or am I missing something why this isn’t supposed to work? Thanks

Is it possible to create PO for non-stock items from Service Order?

I’m sandboxing the 2020 R2 features and marked a non-stock item for PO (PO for Service Order) using the mobile app (in the appointment as a tech). When I clicked Create Purchase Order from the Service Order, nothing appears in the table--because it’s a non-stock item? I’ve tested before in previous versions, but only with stock items--no issue. Is there no functionality for creating POs for non-stock items through service orders or appointments? Or are there settings I’m missing?

SMS Opt in / opt out functionality

When someone connects Twillio or Amazon SMS services to Acumatica, is there an option for internal employees or external customers to opt in or opt out of Text Messages via the system? Like if someone used it for Field Service to text their Technicians they have an appointment and used it to text their customers that the Tech is on the way, is there a place in Acumatica to indicate that they opt out of text or opt in to text and if someone tries to text them, it won't go through if they opted out?

Hello Team,I've added custom fields to the Revenue Budget tab on the Project screen. I wrote code for the RowSelected event, but the values are not being saved in the database when I click the Save button in the Project Header. However, if I click the Revenue Budget tab any field within it, followed by the Save button, the values are saved properly.Could you please assist me in finding a solution to save the field values without having to click on the Revenue Budget tab? Compliance integration

We are a construction and field service company. We are currently running our own compliance software that we had custom built for us many years ago. We have basically outgrown it, and the cost and time to maintain it has become burdensome. We are looking for suggestions on something that will tie into acumatica’s field service and construction projects for doing hazard assessment, circle checks, inspections, etc. so we don’t have to maintain 2 systems like we are now (prevent duplicate entries and human error). Being able to do it through mobile is a must.I have gone through the marketplace and there is nothing specific to this. The only integrations that were close were some forms software, but they didn’t look like they talked nice to field service out of the box.I appreciate your help.Andrew

Combining Service Appointments for a Single Location

This is the use case… Our company creates many appointments using the Services Contracts in the Equipment Module. There are times that even though we have an appointment already created for a customer location, a new appointment will be called in and will require dispatch as well. What we would like to do, if those two appointments are within the same month, we would like to combine the appointments and dispatch all of the services on one appointment. Has anyone attempted this?

We are looking for a solution to be able to enter and edit Service transactions when there is no internet or wifi available. Our customer’s service techs are often working in cooler where it is very difficult to get service on their mobile devices.Any guidance is greatly appreciated!

HI All,Is it possible to add a frequency to a service order or to a line item on service order?Business Case: we supply service Maintenance quarterly. We expect to create 1 service order and that service order can be run automatically quarterly to create an appointment for each quarter.Current I run manually after create a service order. GPS Location Tracking Positions not sending into Acumatica server (Mobile)

Hi all we suddenly have one employee phone not sending coordinates to Acumatica, I’ve check his phone and all his settings are in place. Even acumatica mobile has indicated location has been captured. But it seems like he is permanently stuck in 12/1/2024 in our GI. Anybody facing the issue?I’ve also uninstalled and reinstalled the app as well as clearing data and cache.. but the issue remains the same. Staff is using Android 14, Galaxy A52 5G, SM-A528B/DS Staff is also only using 1 Google Account which is the work organisation account, he doesn’t have any personal account tied to the phone Last tracked position for this employeeUpon checking the staff phone. The usage history is today (20/1/2024) even acumatica has indicated it. Location permission all activated.Recent access did indicate that Acumatica was accessed for location settings No permissions were being blocked.Acumatica DashboardDevice is detectedTracking is enabled.Is it due to the new google update?Thanks!

Need to automate Appointment "Clone" action - Business event or customization

Hi All. I need to automate the “Clone” process on the Appointments screen.We have added a custom field to the Appointment screen which identifies why an appointment an appointment may not have been successfully completed. When the appointment status is changed to “Completed” and the custom field is set to a specific value, the appointment needs to be cloned and scheduled for the next day.I would have liked to have used a Business Event with either an “Action Execution” or an “Import Scenario”. The problem I have is that the “Clone” action opens a new screen (FS.50.02.01) which requires entering the new scheduled date and executing the “Process” action.As far as I have been able to determine, “Action Executions” and “Import Scenarios” cannot deal with being directed to a second screen after an action directs them there. I am looking for confirmation on of this, or wondering if anyone has found any tricks for dealing with this.If not, looks like I’ll need to do a customization.Thanks

System Down Recovery Plan

Recently our Acumatica site was down for a full day of work. We are service based and have techs out in the field all day. With the site down we were unable to access appointments and eventually we had to send all techs home.This triggered us to realize we need a Disaster Recovery Plan. I wanted to see what others have done to make sure you can still function if your Acumatica site goes down?
