We have a customer that overpaid, and now we would like to move that overpayment to the Customer Deposit account on the balance sheet.  We believe we need to too this via a Journal Voucher to ensure that the customer’s account will be properly hit to move that credit from their A/R account to the deposit account.We have tried this a few ways without success.  Does anyone know which module/voucher type we should use to accomplish this so the proper transaction hits the accounts in the correct way?Patrick

Please try again.”In Acumatica community we found a discussion on how to resolve this. However, On Step 2 ‘Update Credentials’, user got an error.User updated the credentials, first it says “you are successful connected to [Bank Name]” and then it showed ‘Credentials were not updated error reason: bank feed has been already connected’ Does anyone know how to resolve this error message?

Hi everyone. I am hoping that someone can help me find the cause of my issue.I am trying to setup reason code, so when an inventory item is issued to project task, it uses the subaccounts from default cost subaccount of the project task. I am following this documentation below. but so far unsuccessfully. When I set combine Sub From box to TTTTTT, it says “TTTTTT does not exist in the system”. Subaccount segment key is set to 6 characters. Could someone please point me to the right direction?Much appreciated.Best Regards

I’m looking for best practices.If our AP department receives an invoice/bill for product received but the purchase order totals and unit costs do not match what should we do?Should we be sending an mail to our purchasers and asking them to reopen purchase orders and update the unit costs? I tried that in a test enviroment and the PO updated its costs like I expected, but since the purchase receipt has already been released those costs were not updated and hence when we go to enter the AP bill the old unit costs are the numbers in the AP bill.I don’t feel like it’s reasonable to ask our AP person to adjust all the unit costs if they differ but I need to develop an SOP for our purchasing departments as well.On a related note, which “unit cost” does the stock item use for the “Last unit cost” and “Average Unit Cost” equations?

Is is possible to link SO to an already existing PO? if so then what’s the process

Acumatica partners and customers, today (04/09/2025) we have received multiple cases that AP recognition service is not working. While some of our internal tests are successful, we reached out to the third party vendor for information on today downtimes of the service and waiting for more information for further diagnostics from clients.  

Hello experts, Canada PST is a retail Sales Tax that applies when taxable goods, software or services are acquired in in some provinces like B.C. or brought into B.C. for use in B.C., unless a specific exemption applies. The exempt companies apply and receive an exemption number and letter. We can enter this exception number in the customer profile and select what kind of exemption is. So far so good. In the Taxes configuration we have a checkbox called “Include in VAT Exempt Tax”. This checkbox is enabled only if the “VAT” is selected as Tax Type. We need to keep the PST as “Sales” because it is what really is and importantly we are expensing it on purchases as it is not VAT so can be reclaimed.I can do a bit of customization to make the checkbox available on Sales as well but I am not sure what is going to be the side effects.What logically system should do is to allow in customer profile user select the exemptio

Hi EveryoneI have a question about reversing depreciation. While I was able to reverse depreciation following recommendations from these two discussions. https://community.acumatica.com/financials%2D7/reverse%2Dfixed%2Dasset%2Dpurchase%2D8689I did it by creating fixed asset transaction with transaction type “Depreciation+” with a negative transaction amount. I realised that this action does not reverse the “depr. to period” under balance - book. This creates an issue where when we attempted to perform correct depreciation again for the same period (where it was reversed before), this asset does not show up on Calculate Depreciation, as it is considered already depreciated for that month by the system.

In a perfect world where dreams come true, I envision my trial balance screen having arrows at the top where I could just click to advance or go back one period at a time. Does anyone know if something like this is possible? 

Is there an option to run the trial balance summary report for the entire year rather than one period? 

Currently, we have a cash flow statement that works for the current year. The client wanted to add a column for the previous year which is easy enough to create the second column within the Column Set with and offset of -1. However, in row set they have created, there are two lines that also has an offset value to -1 as they need balances from previous year for the current year Cash Flow statement. When I created the Column set with an offset of -1, it will get the data from last year, however, the two lines within the row set still retrieves last year but I need it to pull 2 years back. Is there a way to do this in ARM?  Basically, if the offset within the Column Set is set to -1, I would need for the offset value within the row set to be -2. 

We have created an extra Credit WO transaction and I am not having any luck zeroing it out.  I have tried to apply it to a debit memo without success, When I try to reverse it, I get a zero transaction and it remains on the statement.  What would be the best way to get rid of this?

I’m getting this message when trying to do our first VAT return. Anyone got any ideas as to where to look to correct this. I don’t seem to be able to prepare any VAT returns without this being configured. Thanks in advance a tax report cannot be prepared for the selected company and the tax agency because the report version for the tax period has not been found in the system

Is there a way to set a cost on an item being sold intercompany/branch based on a percentage, similar to the margin feature in Acumatica? I see where I can set a Sales Price or manage pricing based on costs. The problem is with intercompany sales; you start with a Sales Order in the Customer-facing branch, which pulls the item cost, which really is different from the intercompany cost. Take this example: Company2 sells a widget to customer1 The widget is added to the line, and the “cost” is pulled from the item at that time. The problem is we want to sell the widget from company 1 to company 2 at a 5% markup (for example). All of the features only work at the pricing level so the intercompany order might be able to add a correct price of cost +5% the original order does not reflect that costing rule and shows cost.(I hope that made sense) I am sure others do similar things. What do you do to manage this? 

We have set an approval map for the PO owner to be the approver for an AP invoice, but on some occasions we need to approve so require to set individuals with overriding capability.So far, we have not been able to set this up either with creating steps within the approval maps which seems to duplicate the AP invoice in the Invoices and Adjustments list, creating a workgroup in the company tree, or delegation under employees.This is the current approval map set for the PO owner:  

I would like to set up subaccounts for our business and have been testing it in our test tenant but I’m not seeing that these sub accounts show up on any financial reports like our P&L. Does this require a form customization or am I utilizing the wrong report?

Is there a way to view unposted Journal transactions in ARM reports? I tried searching the community forums but all the posts are 5 years or older so I am not sure if this feature was ever added. We would like to put expenses into the GL as unposted and see how it affects our finances overall in these reports so our team can make informed decisions.

We are currently using Acumatica Payments.  We have some charges that we are running directly on the gateway that we prefer to handle as a Cash Entry (as it will never connect to an AR document-it is a reimbursement to offset an expense). When using the Import Settlement Batch function, we have the option to “Hide” the missing transactions from the deposit.  My question is, will those “hidden” transactions need connected to something eventually?  Will they prevent us from closing a financial period or year end?  I do not believe they should as there is no GL impact but want to confirm before continuing to “hide” the missing transactions.  Additionally, once the deposit is released, will these hidden transactions move to “transactions excluded from deposit”?  

Does anyone know why the Bank Field Import date isn’t adjustable after you setup? For some reason our bank feed only pulls data as an example from 11/22/24. I like to do daily bank reconciliations but for some reason I can’t edit and pull in posted transactions from 11/23 to 11/25.For one other account, it can’t seem to get past 10/31/24 and I can’t edit.See below. 

I’m encountering an issue with the Purchase Accrual Report in Acumatica. I have a Purchase Order (PO) with multiple Purchase Receipts (PR) and some returns against it. However, I noticed that:The returns are appearing in the accrual report. The purchase receipts (that were not yet billed or returned) are missing from the report.Has anyone experienced this issue before? Any insights on why the receipts are not showing and how to correct this?Appreciate any guidance!

Good morning, we receive the following error when entering a record for a vendor. The Vendor was recently created on on 1/17/2025. We were able to add a record on the 17 but then it didn’t let us add a second record. We were able to workaround this issues by changing the record date to 2015 and then once the record was accepted we changed the it back to 2014 date. Is there any settings that may be preventing us from entering Bills from 2024?     

Hello,We have seen that for 2024R2 build 24.204.0004 and 24.208.0020, the quick search for the Vendor field on AP reports parameter tab does not work.  Additional testing shows that it works in 2023R2 (23.208.0026) and 2025R1 (25.093.0036). Therefore, we assume that it got broken in 2024R2 and then corrected in 2025R1.Acumatica, will this be corrected in 2024R2?Someone had posted about this 2024R2 issue sometime last year but I have not been able find the article. It referenced that the =Report.GetFieldSchema('VendorReportParameters.VendorID') may have an issue in the DAC.The backdrop to this has to do with an upgrade we are looking to do for a client, from 2023R2 (23.208.0026) to 2024R2 (24.204.0004).
