Creating Expense Distribution Rules Between Branches

When our company was moving into ACU supposedly we were told that Acumatica could use per-determined rules to disperse specific expenses into each of our branches. For example:Any marketing expenses will be dispersed via the following Branch A 29%Branch B 30%Branch C 41% I could not find a way to do this so I am assuming I may need to do this manually?

How to default Financial Year in Company Financial Year to match the current FY

Hi there team, We have wondered why the Company Financial Calendar doesn't default to the same current open financial year? Rather annoying that we have to scroll to the actual year, rather then just open screen and the open/close periods.

Configuring Clearing Accounts for Bank Deposits

I am having one heck of a time configuring a clearing accounts to use them for bank deposits. I’m using the guide from here: https://fedcoseeds.acumatica.com/(W(29))/Help?CompanyID=Test+March+2nd&ScreenId=ShowWiki&pageid=323644f1-ea34-4377-92bc-c1fcb4a86d05 But I must be misunderstanding something. I created the clearing account: I did not put any entry types. I made sure the clearing account could be use in the Payment Methods I created a test sales order, made a prepayment using the clearing account I go to the bank deposit screen and enter the following: But when I click “Add Payment” I cannot get the clearing account to appear as an option: I’m sure I’m just missing a small connecting piece. Quick Search for Vendor field on AP reports parameter tab not working

Hello, We have seen that for 2024R2 build 24.204.0004 and 24.208.0020, the quick search for the Vendor field on AP reports parameter tab does not work. Additional testing shows that it works in 2023R2 (23.208.0026) and 2025R1 (25.093.0036). Therefore, we assume that it got broken in 2024R2 and then corrected in 2025R1. Acumatica, will this be corrected in 2024R2? Someone had posted about this 2024R2 issue sometime last year but I have not been able find the article. It referenced that the =Report.GetFieldSchema('VendorReportParameters.VendorID') may have an issue in the DAC. The backdrop to this has to do with an upgrade we are looking to do for a client, from 2023R2 (23.208.0026) to 2024R2 (24.204.0004). We discovered the issue during sandbox testing. Below are some screen images of the parament screen for the AP Balance by Vendor report. The first shows the issue with the quick search and the other two shows it working. Build: 24.208.0020 (Demo) We have tested it in following builds

Unmatched items not defaulting to create payment

Question from client: For the charges that are left after Auto-Match is complete under Process Bank Transactions, every single line will go to the Create Payment tab and I have to click on the Match to Payments tab and click on the Match to Multiple Payments and Match to Receipts and Disbursements options for the leftover charges to show up. Can we set this up to where it will stay on the Match to Payments tab? I will never use the Create Payment feature and when I’m clicking off 400+ charges manually, it gets really annoying that I have to click on so many things just to match the “bank” charge to the “payment”. I looked into this and could not find a way where unmatched transactions don’t default to the Create Payment tab. I looked at Bank Transactions Rules but that did not seem to help. Any suggestions? Why its needed to have a the AP bill and Debit Adj for Clearing the Purchase Receipt which is Already Returned

HI All, As per best practices and its Normal and Simple Process as per my Knowledge across during the years the following is the Transaction entries which will clear the Purchase Receipt and return Purchase receipt Inventory Account Dr. Purchase Accrual Account Cr. Return Before Invoice / Bill Created Purchase Accrual Account Dr. Inventory Account Cr By this both the account get cleared and reconciled as well. if its Partial return Yes the balance remain and which can be cleared by Bill as its not retuned As per the Functionality of Acumatica we need to create a AP Bill and a Debit adjustment for any return ?? though both PR and return has been Processed both Transaction remain uncleared in the accrual Account why this is required and the logic behind this Functionality ?

Removing the link between a PO and a PO Receipt where all items on the PO Receipt have been returned.

I have a PO that was setup with the wrong Vendor. I received an invoice for the PO and created the PO Receipt before I realized that the Vendor was wrong. I did a Return of the PO Receipt (essentially nullifying the POR). This Return actually created a second POR which reversed the first one, so all items on the PO are back to “un-receipted”. I want to correct the Vendor on the PO but since there is a link to to the “received” POR and the “returned” POR, the system won’t let me change the Vendor. I get an error message saying - “You cannot change the vendor for this purchase order because it has purchased receipts linked.” Is there a way to remove the link to these two PORs to the PO?

Converting purchases to assets updating fields

Is there an issue with copying fields over to an asset when converting from a purchase? The only information that gets pulled over is the receipt number which is not even going into the correct field. Do end users have to go into every single asset to manually enter the receipt type, PO number even if they create the asset through the Convert Purchases to Assets process? Your input is greatly appreciated. Thank!

Posting to individual Sales Tax Payable Accounts in Acumatica with Avalara

We cannot find a way where we can point the posting of sales tax payable amounts to individual sales tax payable GL accounts in Acumatica when the Avalara integration is active. IE IL Tax = GL account 2152PA Tax = GL account 2153OH Tax = GL account 2154 How is this possible? Currently, all AR documents are posting to the same sales tax payable account listed on the tax GL account tab in the vendor master.

AR batch payment bank export file is giving this error Notifications Customisation Tools Batch Payments Release Export An error occurred while trying to retrieve 'Unique' part from specified ''.

Hi, I've created a custom export scenario for BNZ Bank in New Zealand and mapped it to the payment method NZBNZDD. This setup is configured for exporting batch payment files from the AR module for direct debit processing. The setup appears to be correct, but for some reason, I'm encountering the following error: "An error occurred while trying to retrieve 'Unique' part from specified." I'm unable to identify the cause of this issue. Does anyone have any insights? I've attached the export scenario and error log(SQL Profiler) for reference.

Should PO unit cost match AP bill?

I’m looking for best practices. If our AP department receives an invoice/bill for product received but the purchase order totals and unit costs do not match what should we do? Should we be sending an mail to our purchasers and asking them to reopen purchase orders and update the unit costs? I tried that in a test enviroment and the PO updated its costs like I expected, but since the purchase receipt has already been released those costs were not updated and hence when we go to enter the AP bill the old unit costs are the numbers in the AP bill. I don’t feel like it’s reasonable to ask our AP person to adjust all the unit costs if they differ but I need to develop an SOP for our purchasing departments as well. On a related note, which “unit cost” does the stock item use for the “Last unit cost” and “Average Unit Cost” equations?

WIP Variance/ Cost of Goods Sold

Hey Everyone, We are having quite the issue with acumatica because it seems it was not built for the way we run our business. I’m curious if anyone else has these problems. Our company very heavily relies on lot tracking and traceability. Basically, we need to know what lot was used in what, and what warehouse location it was transferred to and everything like that. And for this reason we are not able to just backflush inventory, we need to actually assign each box that we use to a production order. But in the instance of a production order, we usually issue a full 900kg of powder into a production order. That 900kg of powder has a cost to it, which is then given to the first move transaction of finished goods. The issue is that the cost (value) given to the very first move transaction is exactly the same cost of 900kg, even though in reality, we only used 50kg. Lets say we make 4 more move transactions, these next 4 have 0 value in the system. How is there not a way for the system to

Cash In Transit - Subaccount based on branch

Hi Everyone, I am having problems when trying to do a Funds Transfer. My Journal transaction for the Cash In Transit Offset is coming with the wrong subaccount (20-000) instead of using the branch the user is currently on (10-000). It is using the default preference from the Cash Management Preferences, because it is currently a required field, however I would like it to just pick the correct subaccount based on the branch. Translation Worksheet Results: Definition is set to YTD/PTD; One account is Gain or Loss

Good day, I have question. Basically it is confirmation. We have set up the Worksheet ID with all accounts either set up as YTD/PTD. When we run the translation the 35000 accounts comes out as a GAIN/LOSS. 35000 is the account on the currency as the translation Gain and Loss Account. Is this the reason why the translation changes the Translation Method? I have to explain this to the CFO. Or there a set up issue? I believe it overrides the translation method on the worksheet because it on the currency GL Accounts. Thoughts? Confirmation. I can’t fine anything in the documentation about this. Thank you

Transport excel dashboard to acumatica

Hello First, I’m sorry if someone else asked this before, but I didn’t find my answer.My company has an excel file where we do this for all plant and 3 separate branches: Orders $ Sales $ Scheduled sales $ Total backlog $ Total past due $ # Employees Weight shipped The file has other columns as well, but this is enough for an example.There is some math behind those columns, taking the total from a week or the total from a report, for each branch. Is there a way of creating this in Acumatica? What I do today is filling the excel with the results I take from Acumatica. Thanks in advance, have a good day.

Financials by Sales Channel and Product Line - Sub Accounts or Branches?

We are new to Acumatica and trying to wrap our heads around how branches and subaccounts work. Our use case is this: One company, one warehouse with inventory. We sell B2B, B2C - Shopify, B2C - Amazon. We would like the ability to run a P&L based on sales channel and by product line. For example: P&L for B2B channel for product line X. From what I understand, only one subaccount can be used per line so we would have to choose whether we want to classify the line as a channel or a product line. I think if we create combined subaccounts, where channel and product line are combined, it would create major difficulty in data entry, along with preventing us from running a P&L based on just product line or just channel. Would adding a branch for each sales channel make sense? Then each transaction would have a branch and then a subaccount for the product line? Again, we would only have 1 warehouse shared across the company, so I’m not sure if this method would work. Happy to hear some best pr

Reconciliation Statement Issue

I was in the process of reconciling a Credit Card and the Reference Number generated matched, for some reason, a previous reconciliation statement for a different cash account. Now the process is locked into a cash account that is not correct, it will not let me delete the report, and if I create a new one it tells me that the previous statement was not reconciled. Also, the transactions disappeared for that time frame and I have tried everything to get rid of the incorrect reference number. Please help!

Changed depreciation rates and added value to asset

Good day Community I have a client who has been calculating their depreciation on a spreadsheet for years and now want to use Acumatica. Here is my challenge - in 2021 they changed the useful life of the assets from 25 to 40 years. In 2023 they increased the value of the assets. I imported the assets in the current financial year in initialization mode, including the YTD Accumulated Depreciation. Most assets have been depreciating for about 5 years, 2 years @ 25 years and 3 @ 40 years. I am really struggling to assign them useful life years that would calculate at the correct rate. If I use 40 years, it reverses a portion of the Accum. Depr so that the remaining amount is over 40 years from day 1. If I use 35 years and amend the start date to the current year, the calculation is correct by month going forward, but it amends the Accumulated Depreciation YTD that was imported. Any advice as to how I could get the system to calculate the correct amount going forward without changing the t
