Is it possible to send an unprompted email, or reply to an email, using templates as "canned responses" in acumatica?The only way we have found to insert a notification template is while responding to a lead submission. Everywhere else, it will only allow the insertion of "kb articles" into new emails. Is there a way to make templates available as a source when creating or replying to an email? The option only seems to work if the email activity screen is a popup.
How do I see the progress on my previous ideas submitted on the old forum?
As many of you know, I’m one of the newest members of the Acumatica Developer community, although far from new to development for ERP systems. One of my ways of learning is to come at the problem backwards. For instance, the training guides for developers is very good at walking you through a perfect case scenario to teach, but there is a wealth of information that cannot be packed into the training guides without turning it into a new Library of Congress. By looking at code samples, I learn new methods and techniques to accomplish my goals. Sometimes, I even have to dig into the finished HTML presented to the browser… like today. I have been picking my way through properties of controls in the Screen Editor for quite some time, simply looking at what one screen sets to get similar behavior on my screen. This has been useful, but what about all those other controls? I find myself looking through properties to see what the help line tells me about each one, but I have not found a
Has anyone figured out a good way to avoid email loops in Acumatica? This is specifically related to auto creation of Acumatica Cases via email. The issue comes up when someone emails two system, in this case two support email address for two different companies, and both system have an auto reply. The result is the each auto reply creates a new case and a new auto reply and so on.
I can assume this site is disconnected from the main website. It would be a great idea to have each of the blog posts create an attached post here for comments and discussion. It would also drive people towards the community and gain content.
