Dear ALL,I have created an Email Account in “System Email Accounts” screen just to implement the Automation Notifications email feature for the newly created Case. We would like to disable sending Email feature from Sales Order screen and all other screens. Please show me how How can we do this without using the “User Security/Access Rights” features. At Premier Tech Partners, we have a client with a requirement that encryption be enforced on the database / SQL server. This was working fine with previous Acumatica releases until we upgraded a Sandbox instance to 2023R1 in preparation for their Production instance upgrade. When we then tried to log into the upgraded instance, however, the login screen had the error message “Database could not be accessed”. Our IT Team already knew that it was necessary in SSMS to check the “Trust server certificate” option on another SQL server in order to be able to log into the server with the encryption enforcement turned on from the former server. But, it took quite a while to find the equivalent setting in Acumatica. When we try to retrieve bank transactions from our linked cards/bank accounts, we receive an error message of “Invalid Authorization Header” which is preventing us from bringing in transactions. When we click update credentials for the card/bank account, we receive the same error message.
I am having trouble getting a user access to Generate a customer statement with Generate on Demand.The user has multiple roles. Only one of these roles should have access to run the report.In access rights by screen → Receivables→ Customers → Customer → Generate on Demand I have given the “Edit” to the role which should have that right.When a user has multiple roles does Acumatica prioritize the most restrictive role? If that is the case, I suppose the role without access to Generate on Demand is preventing access?I have dozens of unique situations like this, and am hoping I don’t have to create a unique role for each.
Hi all.How do we change the default status of an AP Bill that was created from an Expense Claim? When we release an expense claim, the AP bill is automatically balanced. We want the AP Bill of an Expense Claim to be put on hold first for some reason. Thank you in advance.
Is there a way to connect a single scale, maybe two or three in time, to Devicehub without having to purchase "Automated Warehouse Operations"? It seems kind of silly that we can’t even connect one.Will we ever purchase "Automated Warehouse Operations"? Likely in time but we have a long way to go before getting into the Manufacturing and Warehousing aspects of Acumatica and we’d like to be utilizing this in Shipping now.Is there a compromise or work around anyone’s thought of that works? hi! i have Client A who’s going through implementation and the first financial year starts on 1/1/2018 (monday) and Client B who’s financial year starts on 1/1/2021 (Friday). i was referring to the info related to custom week config which led me to believe that it’s related to the financial year but that’s not consistent with what i’m seeing between the two clients:on the time and expense preference screen, Client A’s week setting has a start date of Monday and Client B has a start day of Sunday. does anyone know what settings i need to change for the start day to change to Sunday for Client A without using the custom week configuration? i thought this was related to the work calendar however, Client A has work calendars that have Sunday as a working day and Client B does not have sunday as a working day. also, i want to add that Client A has Acumatica Payroll and Client B does not
Hi, I have a client that wants to hide the Approve, Approve All, and Reject buttons at the top under Approvals. See print screen below. I went into security preferences and found the Approvals section but no additional options. I cannot find the option to do this. The Data Field is called EPApprovalProcess. Is this found somewhere else or can it even de done? Please let me know. Client is on 2023 R1. Thanks,Frances
We have a prospect that has two companies, one base in ROI and one based the UK. The 2nd ROI company does not hold any stock and all sales orders are supplied by the primary UK company. We’ve worked through using intercompany and believe it would work for them to a degree but ideally we would like the Intercompany Sales Order in the UK company to be dispatched to the customer address for the ROI company. If we select to raise the intercompany PO from the ROI company to the UK company as a drop ship PO, we cannot seem to generate the intercompany SO from the “Generate Intercompany Sales Orders” process within the UK company. This means the ROI company would have to theoretically “Receipt” the stock to their ROI warehouse to immediately despatch their customer sales order. This adds another level of admin the customer would like to avoid as they would like the paperwork from the UK company to have to delivery address of the ROI company customer. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
I’m not entirely clear on what license is needed for what with regards to SSO. What are the different use cases for the “Google and Microsoft SSO” license and the “Active Directory and other external SSO”? Also, now that Acumatica has switched over to OpenID integration for SSO is there a specific license needed to enable the “OpenID Connect” feature and are the other SSO licenses still needed?
We currently have our live company tenant named “Company”, which I’ve never liked because it tends to confuse new users. I was looking in to changing it to something users would recognize (like our company name, or Production, etc).On the Tenant screen SM203520, it appears possible to simply overwrite the Tenant Name and Login Name and click save. Most other screens have an Title/Name change function, so I’m apprehensive to just change it without guidance. If so, are there repercussions to doing so for any customizations, reports etc, or does it use the ID number and not the Tenant Name/Login Name? Anyone have experience changing the Tenant Name/Login Name?
Has anyone also noticed that the global / universal search in Acumatica is not returning 100% of the possible results since we did the update for R1 2033. For example not all customers populate, not all invoices etc… Any feedback on this would be greatly appreciated.
I’m having trouble getting external file storage to work when pointed to a Synology NAS.The NAS directory is mapped to the S:\ drive on my Acumatica server, and I am able to interact with it using my admin account. This is the same account I use when installing Acumatica. However, when I attempt to add either the S:\ drive or a C:\user\administrator\desktop directory as the external storage address, I get an invalid path error.This is not the case when I use a C:\ directory, so I assume it is user permissions related, but I do not know which user context Acumatica or IIS are running in to grant the needed permissions. Any input would be appreciated.
Hi,Does anyone resolved this access rights scenario without a customization? User A needs access to view Journal Transactions screen in Company AUsar A needs access to edit Journal Transactions screen in Company B. We have customer that has 17 companies and there are going to be in the same tenant and this type of access rights is very common and important. Thanks!
Hello,I have just discovered that somewhere along the way I have removed access to the testing tenant for our company. We had been doing some work on security roles so I am assuming that the two are related. However, I am unsure how I can “re-enable” access to the testing tenant for myself (as admin). I am trying to do a test upgrade from 2021 R2 to 2023 R1 on a local VM to test some customizations and I get this error: I am using SQL Server Standard 2016 with the latest CU.Is there any way around this, or do we need to use an Enterprise Version of SQL locally now as well?I should add that when I click Ignore to all the error messages it does seem to finish, but I am not sure of the state of the data. Does it just mean that I cannot use the new archive feature on my local test VM but everything else will work?
