I successfully created a data provider for an external SQL database and can retrieve data using an import scenario. However, I’m struggling to build a Generic Inquiry (GI) that combines data from both the external database and Acumatica tables.My goal is to create a GI that pulls accounts on hold from our external production management system and compares them to the same account numbers in Acumatica. This would help our accounting team identify which accounts need to be placed on hold in Acumatica—an initial step toward future automation.Given that import scenarios can access external data, I would expect this to be a straightforward task. Any guidance on how to achieve this would be greatly appreciated.Thanks in advance!

Hi! I have an attribute that is using the EPEmployee Owner ID field. The schema field does not have an option to select owner description. This attribute is being used in business account, when selecting on the business account record, the owner name displays, example is Device Hub here: But in the generic inquiry, the attribute field is only pulling the ownerID number and not the name: Is there a way to link the employee owner ID to the owner name so the GI display the actual name not numbers?Thanks!

We went live with Field Service in July 2024.  The ONE thing we are struggling with is the requirement to add purchase order items as quickly as they are needed. If our guys are at the hardware store buying a variety of nuts and bolts, it is cumbersome to enter these details at the time of purchase for the techs in the field on their iPads or the people in the office.  In our former software (Sage 300 - and yes, we know it is antiquated), but we could have a blank Purchase Order and fill in the purchases later.  At the very lease, a blank purchase order alerted us that we have an vendor purchase against the appointment. Because of this limitation, we are not using purchase orders at all.  Have any of you figured out how to enter a blank Purchase Order in Acumatica?

For one of our projects, we set a single value to be selected from a box. However the box is still defaulting to one of the old value that we removed. I’m trying to have it default to the constant defined below, but everything I’ve tried either hasn’t worked or crashed the customization. Hello Community,I have set this Override Prepayment to revoked for a sales role; however, when I log into a user who only has this sales role, I am still able to override the prepayment. Does anyone have any additional suggestions on how to get this to work? I do not want this role to be able to hit this override prepayments.  Thanks!

Hi, our team was working through creating T&M Pro Forma and made the mistake of marking several transaction rows as Write Off and we need to correct them. We went through the normal correction process of Reverse and Apply through the AR screens.When we attempt to create the replacement Pro Forma, it is not pulling in the transaction rows for the items marked as Write Off in the previous version. The AR Credit Memo generated new transaction rows for the billed items, but did not reverse the incidental Write Offs.Is there a step that we missed, or alternate solution to recapturing these Write-Offs? Other than manually adding transaction rows to the Pro Forma?

I’m trying to turn OrderType from a selector of every order type to just certain order types for our customer portal. I’ve been trying to change it to ComboBox since those options can be changed, but every time I save the Screen Editor, it goes back to Selector. What would be the best way to go about this?OrderType 

Hello!Is there anyway to calculate a supplemental item’s selling price based on a percentage of a configured parent line item within the Sales Order? Or is there a way to set up the configurator such that it is able to take a percentage of the SO Line item price and allocate it to the supplemental items? For instance, in our old ERP system, it was able to price supplemental items based on a percentage of the entered price of the parent line item. For example: Parent Line Item entered price: $1000Price Breakdown: Parent Line: 80% → $800 Supp. Item A: 10% → $100 Supp. Item B: 10% → $100 If you have any ideas, anything helps! Thank you!

Hello! We are currently building out our manufacturing area of Acumatica and onboarding our factory/shop employees to start using Acumatica to complete the move transactions work center by work center. Is there any way to create a dashboard that shows where each production order is by the work center? I have looked into the APS Module, but we are not at the stage where we can capacity plan based on setup times, labor times, work center capacity, etc. Is there anyway to utilize the DAC and formulas to craft this into a GI? Thank you!

I want to create Generic Inquiry for Vendor Name, Account Name and ReportID 

We would like to create a customization that takes the output of a given screen (let’s assume sales quote or estimate) and have it export a customized excel spreadsheet with that information.In our use case, we need to have several tabs in the exported file pre-defined (sort of like a template) and on one of the tabs the data from the screen being exported needs to be formatted a particular way (sor of like a stylesheet).I had thought about using a report as an intermediate step (where you have a little bit more control over the excel export) but I’m unaware of a way to have that result in multiple tabs. (incidentally, is there a way to “style” the exported cells from a report?)Thanks

Hello Everyone,I created a custom printed form and added it to the site map. I also created a customization project to allow this form to be printed from the Sales Order screen via Action Menu > Printing & Emailing. However, after publishing the customization, the report is not visible in the menu.The custom form has the correct access rights and works fine from the Printed Forms screen, but it does not appear under Printing & Emailing in the Sales Order screen.Acumatica Cloud ERP 2024 R2Build 24.203.0023Please see my screenshot and advise.  Thank youJennifer

Hi community,I need some help with a formatting issue. In a Sales Order report, I am using a subreport to fetch VAT and SVAT values, and the values are being retrieved correctly. However, there is a formatting issue. The numbers are displayed like 1669.18, but I want them to be formatted with thousand separators, like 1,669.18. I tried using ‘#,##0.00’ and ‘SOLine.OrderQty.Format’ to change the value format, but it didn’t work. Does anyone have a solution to fix this.  

Hi Everyone,I am currently making modifications to the lot/serial number report to display project IDs and tasks. However, I cannot seem to find the correct table to relate to INLotSerialStatusByCostLayerType in order to display the project data. I have tried using INTran and INCostCenter, but I keep encountering duplicates. Can anyone provide guidance on how to correctly relate these tables?

We are very new to Acumatica.  We have monthly consolidated scheduled ocean shipments. Most of my ‘DEFER” on the exception list is due to we put in on the earlier ocean to arrive in time. For instance, I have a 6/25/25 scheduled ocean, and MRP is telling me to DEF to 7/9/25. I don’t have a 7/9/25 ocean, and need to make sure it’s on the 6/25/25 ocean.  Is there any schedule we can put in for our ocean, or once it moves to “IT-OCEAN-MTL” warehouse, it won’t show to defer or expedite since it’s not possible for either. 

Hi, I currently have new fields on the Tools screen to make it more useful. I have a custom selector called AMToolMstExt.usrToolLocation and AMToolMstExt.useToolWarehouse. The custom warehouse selector works fine, but I want the selector for the location to show a list of locations that belong to the warehouse contained in the custom warehouse field. I am trying to use PXSelector and a BQL to relate the list of locations in the selector to the value stored in AMToolMstExt.usrToolWarehouse.Here is the current setup for AMToolMstExt.usrToolLocation: Here is the current setup for AMToolMstExt.usrToolWarehouse: Here is what currently happens, with all of the locations in the system showing up: In the above example, only the locations starting with ‘03’ should be showing, since ‘03’ is in the custom warehouse selector field.
