Configuration and Installation

Hello,I am configuring security settings for different user roles and we are limiting a role to be able to create a PO from an SO only. IE: They can not create a PO from “Create New PO” button and cannot order things to stock. They can only order a PO from an SO.They need to be able to update the Ship-To Address and for some reason the Ship-To Contact is allowing the override but the address is not. The checkbox will allow me to check it and then it will auto deselect without opening up any of the fields to be edited. See the GIF below for what I mean.I have tried going into the Override button directly and given the maximum security setting allowed for the button and that still does not work. I am not sure why the Contact override would work and the Address would not. Any help is appreciated -- Thank you!! 

As Controller, I am looking for credit memos to hit a different GL than my sales.  I have been informed that Acumatica cannot do this.  I don’t believe it.  Can someone please direct me how to do this?  Second, I have items that are not inventory related and would like to direct those sales to ‘Other Sales’.  Can someone help with that?Regards,

How can we remove the “Create Payment” button for Sales users while still allowing our users (Salespeople) to create pre-payments?   Our goal is to allow prepayments, but prevent the team from using the standard payment processing flow.Thanks!

Using 24R2.  I have a purchasing group who emails their POs to vendors via a Purchasing email account in Acumatica.  The purchasing group does not want the sales team to be able to open the purchasing emails.  The sales uses a different email account to send sales related emails.  The sales team does have view only access to vendor records.I’ve tried row level security to no avail.  If I could control (automatically) access to attachments, that would work, but it seems the access permissions are propagating from the email activity screen.Ideas?

Hello All,I have a multi-step approval map set up. With the first layer as a lab tech. They submit the requisition and their manager approves it, it then goes to the Lab Manager who then approves it. The last step is to go to our purchasing department where the PO is set up. I don’t think I’m understanding how everything is supposed to work at each step.Step one → Goes to manager (set up as Next step, always)Step Two → Goes to the lab manager (Next Step, always)Step Three → Goes to Purchasing ( Approve Document, Always)So should each step have an approve button? Or, will it step through the process? Right now, the first manager can approve, the second manager approves bidding, and then Purchasing sets up the PO. I want to make sure this is all correct prior to moving forward.  Brent

I have added these subaccount in the restriction group and i wanted to allow user to only see these in the reports during generation.I also checked the apply restriction in report definition It still shows all the subaccount in the list  

Hello,I am attempting to automate the creation of Tenants on an on--premise server. I found a PowerShell script that looked promising, but it is using PX.Data.Tools.Dll that I can’t find installed anywhere, even with the developer Debugging Tools installed. Does anyone know if automated tenant creation is possible? Thanks,Mark

Hello everyone,I'm encountering an issue while setting up a Gmail account using OAuth2 authentication in Acumatica.I’ve followed the instructions provided in the official wiki/help article to configure everything correctly on both Google Cloud and within Acumatica. Everything appears to be working initially — I’m able to authenticate using the “Sign In” button under External Applications or Email Accounts, and outgoing emails are sent successfully.However, the problem is that the authentication only persists for about 8 hours. After that, the connection expires, and the account is no longer authorized to send emails. From what I understand, this is expected behavior with OAuth2 — the access token should be refreshed periodically.The issue is that the Gmail account/application does not appear on the Refresh Application Access Tokens screen in Acumatica. As a result, we’re unable to set up

We would like to upgrade our DeviceHub installation to 2024 R1 and would like to know what file(s) we would have to backup to keep all of the printers already present. We’ve taken screen shots of all the installed printers, but would like to not have to manually enter them into DeviceHub if that can be avoided.

Hi there,I am new to Acumatica. We are currently running a system email account in Acumatica. We want to move to having individual email accounts set up in Acumatica. At the moment, a test user account and email were created in Acumatica and Office 365. In system email accounts, I made an email account ID and name, POP3 Incoming mail server outlook.office365.com, outgoing smtp.office365.com, incoming server port 995 outgoing 587, TLS for encryption. Timeout 2 Mins; however, when testing, it fails. All ports are open on the Office 365 side. I want to seek guidance on how to get this test account operational in Acumatica. Thank you in advance for any help and advice. 

Hi all,I have a local instance set up for training (Build 24.112.0026), and I am seeing the following message on the Transactions and Profiles tab after performing a Universal Search:The search by a phrase or a list of keywords might not work because the Full-Text Search feature is not enabled. Contact an administrative user to enable the feature.I have run ‘Process All’ on the ‘Rebuild Full-Text Entity Index’ screen, and I have also tried the ‘Restart Full-Text Search’ option, but I am still seeing the warning.Anyone seen this before or know how to deal with it?

I’m trying to add the shipment page to the mobile app, by using this guide: however these steps don’t seem to be working. When I try to manage workspaces, the customization project gets an error. Hello,We currently have Acumatica set up as a single company with multiple branches. We are looking to limit certain employees to a singular branch. I’ve set it so when they log into their account, it is set to their branch but they can change it easily. I’d like to set it so once it is set to their branch, that’s their home. Please help. Brent

Hello,Before I go down this path, I wanted to know if it would be a viable solution to add a button in an email to approve or reject a document based on selecting the link. I have been able to get an elementary version of this to work through sending certain text in an email for intake but the client wants to get more sophisticated with an actual actionable button.I believe this would be possible with some variation of the portal- they click the link, brings them to the portal, they can approve- but not all customers will have an access. So ultimately I need to be able to get a response back without the need to authenticate.Any input or experience on this topic would be greatly appreciated! 

Adding files attached in header files section of the particular order in the Purchase order email template automatically and option to remove before sending the emailfor eg the PO has two files attached, but when we get into the email template, we are again forced to add the two attachments along with the PO document which is redundant.Anyways it can be done.

My business has some customers that come and pick up their orders.  Shipping would like to automatically notify them once the order is picked and packed. Currently, we select Customer Pickup as ShipVia, it allocates, picks, packs, then sits in Shipping status until someone notifies Customer Service it is ready for pickup, then they contact the customer.  Once the customer picks up the product it moves from Shipping to Completed - for inventory and order tracking purposes.  I thought I just needed to create a conditional Automation Schedule based on Status and ShipVia for a Business Event for an Email Notification - (new type).It will not let me tie the Automation to the Business Event.

Hi,We have an inherited client that is on 22.214 and needs to go to 24.210. I know there’s not a direct upgrade process and there will be a couple steps in between. I * think * the path is this: Current Version Build Update Intermediate Version Final Version 22.214.0019 22.223.0007 23.120.0004 24.210.0019  My questions are these:Do I create a sandbox for just the 24R2 version, or do we have to test in each? Does Acumatica process the upgrade sequentially in one evening, or will the client have to ‘live’ in each progressive version for a particular period of time?I haven’t processed an upgrade like this and want to be as efficient with the client as possible.Thanks!
