Statuses for Document Types (Compliance)

Can someone direct me to where I’m supposed to go to add Statuses for Document Types (in Compliance)?  I’ve look everywhere that I could think of.  Thanks!

These are attributes specific to the compliance module.  

Compliance Preferences> Custom Attributes> Attribute> Select STATUS > enter desired values.
