Hi everyone Is there a way to include configurable components to subcontract shipment?This item we are trying to set up has fixed materials and configurable components. Once partially assembled, all parts are to be shipped to client site for installation by a subcontractor. The fixed components are can set up as subcontract - ship to vendor as outside process. But there is no way to set up the configurable components to subcontract - vendor shipment. Everytime a production order is created with configuration, we have to manually update the configurable materials, for them to be included in vendor shipment and show up the packing list. Is there a better way to do this?Thanks in advance. 

Does anyone know how to build a Generic Inquiry to show the inventory that is currently in process on a production order.  like Storage Details by Location but for inventory that all the operation on the bill of material has been completed yet.   we are new to Acumatica and need this when confirming our on hand inventory counts.   

I have a couple of questions regarding sales persons that are linked to employees which are linked to a user and how to use this set up conveniently in Acumatica. Basically I want the ability for the logged in user to only have access to the orders and customers which they are the default sales person for. This could be in reports, dashboards, GI screens, etc. @ME does not work as a value in the default sales person field.How can I set up a filter on the sales order screen to view all sales orders with my logged in user as the sales person. I want this filter to automatically default to show the logged in users customers and sales orders without having to set the filter explicitly to that sales person. I’d like the system to detect the salesperson based on the logged in user and reflect this in filters for sales orders. I’ve tried setting Default Sales Person = @ME but that doesn’t work.My Goal is to provide a filter to my sales persons so they can see all of the order

When I go to the “Where Used in BoM” for a specific item, it says that 1 of this item is required for all of the listed BoMs. This is inaccurate and I’m wondering if maybe I don’t understand what this column is used for.For example the highlighted line: it says that 1 Bone Char 50 lb 50 ct is needed to make 1 3G Garlic Grower Bulk (my interpretation) The BoM for 3G Greener Garlic Grower Bulk The highlighted line is a product of the Bone Char 50 lb 50 ct which is 1/50th of the original item. SO my math says that the BoM (3G Garlic Grower) should require 0.00012 of the original item (Bone Char 50 lb 50 ct)

Hello,I’m facing an issue which  I believe a bug in the system. Have you anyone experienced this? I would appreciate your comments. Test ScenarioCreate an Item with product configurator with few component items. Set the price of component Items in the price list. ( I have set a customer price class and price is based on price class of the customer) Create a sales order with the configurable item. The price of the configured item will be calculated when the item is configured. Then change the price of the component items in the sales prices and recalculate the prices in the sales order.This does not change the price of the configured items. I tried unfinish the configuration and finish again. It did not change the prices as well. Is there any other way to change the prices of the configured items upon price revision? And do you think this is a bug or what is the workaround?

I am running 2024 R1 and i thought at one point Open Purchase Orders would should up in the grid.   i have open purchase orders.   if you could let me know what areas to check it would be very much appreciated.  we are fairly new to Acumatica and want to get all the value we can from the tool. .    

Hi everyoneI am experiencing an issue with Cost Roll. based on documentation, we should be able to use Cost Roll to update standard cost of BOM item has valuation method set to standard, including material, labour, overhead etc.When we used Cost Roll, it only seems to roll material cost into standard cost, not labour cost. Could you please help me and advise what I might be doing wrong here?Many thanks. 

Our company is testing MRP and I am confused as to why the “Qty On Hand” for this item says 0 on the “Inventory Planning Results by Item” form. Under “Warehouse” there is a “Qty on Hand” field that says 0. According to ACU this what calculates Qty on Hand on this page: Below is the inventory summary of this item with location shown and it clearly shows 3 on hand in that location: Below shows that this location is checked for “Inventory Planning” there is no “MRP check box” as per the above definition but I find that ACU uses “Invent

My team is trying to clear up our system, and we came across three material moves that were never completed, while the corresponding PO was. It seems like all three were duplicates of original material moves that worked, but now these three orders are stuck with the error “AM Error: The batch contains released related transactions and cannot be deleted.” and can’t be deleted no matter what we do. Is there a way to fix this issue? 

Hello,We recently (past 3 months) went live with Acumatica and are continuing to refine our processes and explore capabilities.    My current project is to set safety stock on certain raw materials so we can leverage MRP and ensure that we always maintain the necessary on hand material levels.   We have set our Inventory Planning preferences as shown below:  We have two warehouses setup in our system, MAIN (aka Finished Goods), and RAWMTL.  All of our raw materials are inventoried in the raw material warehouse.     We set the invetory planning values as shown below on a select group of raw material part numbers for testing: We then ran MRP and reivewed the Inve

My client has a manufacturing order that use batch sizes for materials. i.e.  200 items per box, 1 box tag per box and 2400 items per pallet, 1 pallet tag per pallet.  They are all set to backflush.  The MO looks correct, but the client states that it keeps backflushing too many pallets etc and they have to continually add additional and count the inventory.In digging into this, it looks as if every line of a labor entry for a date creates the backflush issue of the pallet, tag, etc.  If there are 3 lines on a labor/clock transaction with quantities, it backflushes 3 times -3 pallets and 3 boxes -so too many pallets and not enough boxes.I am getting confused in reading through the help menu on how batch sizes are used.  It seems that the finished good should perhaps have data populated on the stock item IN202500 manufacturing tab for min/max order qty and lot size?  I have been brought in recently on this client and am not familiar with this.How do I get this se

Hi I’m trying to create a by-product and per the instructions it says select in BOM but I don’t seem to see that as an option?  Only have “regular, Phantome or subcontract” Anyone else have this as a problem?  Am i looking in the wrong field? Missing something in setup?  

I'm creating an Estimate in AM303000 screen.While adding Operations in the details, the Backflush Labor check should be copied from Workcenter in the detail line.I have created several workcenters with the Backflush Labor check selected but when I added to the operation, the check it's always cleared.According to documentation this should work as is working in Bill of Material screen. I'm using 23R2 version.This is estimateThe check selected for Backflush in WorkcenterI need this check automatically copied from Workcenter in every estimate.

This question was asked by a fellow member (@eric82) years ago, and I have not been able to find the solution to this answer as I am relatively new to Acumatica and would like to know what is causing this and how to correct it.Does anyone have any feedback that may explain why the item descriptions don’t update on stock items automatically?

For very small BOM trees (5-10 total leaf nodes) Engineering Workbench is a pretty decent implementation given the constraints of web development.But if you get a more complex BOM tree, it grinds to a halt. Takes significantly longer than Visual BOM screen (which is effectively doing the same data pull). Also, if you move the slider too fast, it will “lose” it’s tree icon details (though the extra columns stay) and struggle to repaint; sometimes browser locks up. This happens on multiple browsers, clean cookies, etc.Are there optimizations I can take advantage of to make this usable? Also, as an improvement request, since it doesn’t allow adding children to a subassembly (which seems like a strange implementation constraint, but I think I understand why it was done) could we get an easy “double-click to drill-down” option, or at least expose a “navigate to this BOM” on the leaf node’s  “…” menu. Very concerned that Visua

hello all,I have been working on production orders. I have an item that has been received in the qty of 377, and then when I went ahead to create prod orders out of this 377, it shown me out of stock item.Highlighted below.Item ID : 00031381: The first line has the available qty of 272 which is fine, but for the one that is highlighted it shows incorrect release & avail qty. whereas out of 377, 270 has been used in the Prod order no. 1506 so I still have 105 available. But it doesnt show up in the highlighted line.But if I go to manually add up the item in the Material transaction it allows me to add up the figure same as that of required qty. for highlighted prod order.

Hi all, We are implementing the manufacturing module in about 3 weeks and had a scenario come up that I’m unsure of the best way to handle.  We use production orders for sampling new products.  We need to be able to log material and labor transactions against the production order, but we do not want the parts to stock into inventory.  I tried to adjust some settings but haven’t found anything that lets us do this.  Any ideas?  Thanks!

We went live with our inventory system in Acumatica in January of 2022 and every single month we have dealt with unreleased production transactions against jobs that are already closed. We found out that when you approve the last step of the production order it automatically marks it complete. I believe this should not be possible, especially if there are unreleased transactions against it.Acumatica has tons of checks and balances before marking anything complete and I think that a production order should not be able to go into complete status until everything has been released. Just like Acumatica won’t let you release an entry without matching debits and credits, this should also be implemented for Inventory. 

How do users manage tooling?  For instance, I’d like to understand which parts use specific manufacturing tools.  Like a where used for tooling?  I see where others suggest incorporating tools, templates, jigs and fixtures into “stock items” (this a hokey solution and not how to use an ERP).  Additionally, I see where certain parts or BOM’s can “consume” tooling (assume that this is for machine tooling consumable cost capture), but how do non-consumable tools get cost accounted and managed long term for inventory and tracking within Acumatica?   In short - there should be a backend tooling data base and a way to pull a “where used” to see which parts tools are tied to.  

We recently upgraded to 24R2 and when I was trying to complete a move transaction on a lot of material, it would throw the below trace error. I was able to successfully complete both labor and material issue transactions with out any issues, but it seems like the move function is simply no longer functional.  

It is my understanding in Acumatica Labor Overhead is not calculated unless you apply a qty to an operation. It is also my understanding that this qty triggers a “move” (but not into inventory) operation which kicks off the Labor over head calculation. Which is fine in many cases however in some case you have long run assembly time where you might be on an operation for a long period of time. The pitfall here is you will not be able to track the labor dollars effectively until you post a qty complete to an operation (even if that operation may not be complete in reality).  Couldn’t this behavior just be a preference to allow the labor transaction to trigger the overhead? Even if the qty complete it posted as 0?  I hope that all makes sense. 

We have lots of items that need to be marked for production, but I don't want our sales team to have to understand when to do this and when not to. I've utilized the "Make to Order Item" checkbox on the stock item screen and that works great. However, when placing an item on a quote, it does not automatically mark for production. No problem because it's just a quote at this stage. However, when we copy the quote to a sales order, I want all items to automatically mark for production. Is it possible to do this?

Problem: When a production order is created for a configured item, the “Mark for PO” box does not get checked on production materials that have the “Dflt. Mark For” value set to “Purchase” on the inventory item record. This means that no purchase demand will show up on the “Create Purchase Orders” screen and the purchasing manager will not be aware of any custom order materials that are required until production employees are ready to perform the operation and discover that materials have not been ordered.Affected Versions:2024R2 (all builds, as far as I am aware)Simple Workaround:Immediately upon learning of this problem, I created a Generic Inquiry to enable a user to easily view affected records. This displays Production Material lines where Mark For PO is false, but the Dflt Mark For value on the inventory item is Purchase. This is great, but potentially a lot of work, since it has to be reviewed
