expenseRefnbr cannot be empty trying to delete rejected Expense Claim

I am trying to deleted a rejected Expense Claim but when I try to do that, I am receiving an error message that says the “expenseRefNbr cannot be empty”; if it was rejected, why is that occurring?Is this a permissions or setup issue? And if so, what should I look to change?

Sales Orders - When adding new line items, one user getting search results when typing in the Inventory ID while other users don't.

We need to fix the user that shows search result to be like the rest that doesn’t show the result on the sales order screen. See images below for the correct display versus the wrong display. For this user a results sub window opens as the user types in an Inventory code. This image shows how it should look without the results displaying:

Connecting a pro forma invoice to a sales order

We are a company that bills time and material invoices through the pro forma invoice setting. We are looking for a way to be able to tie this invoice into the sales order process somehow so that when we go to ship the order, it ties to the pro forma invoice. Right now we are manually creating the pro forma invoice, manually adjusting the sales order to match the pro forma invoice price, and shipping the sales order. This creates the issue of keeping the shipment in the ‘confirmed’ status, because if we ‘prepare invoice’ from the shipment, it would duplicate the invoice and book AR twice.Does anyone know of a better way of navigating this scenario?

I have tried numerous times to split a journal entry into multiple lines without it posting successfully. The only way I can get Acumatica to split an entry to multiple sub accounts is to do it one line at a time. Why is this necessary?We are on 2020 R1

Restriction Groups to prevent listing of GL account amount on report or GI

We are currently on 22r2 and will move to 24r1 soon.We have the need to stop users from seeing and being able to drill down into certain accounts on the P&L by branch report. The users are all in the same branch, but not the same “department”. They should not be able to see wages for the branch management (highest priority), and preferably not other departments in their branch (secondary concern).I have set up a restriction group and assigned only top management and finance to the group. I have also assigned the specific sub accounts, and then the specific GL account, to the RG as well.The result is that the user can access the P&L by department, see the Wages listed on the P&L in total form. Further, then can click on the amount and drill into the Wages amount, seeing the restricted account detail, as well as the associated subaccounts, some of which are restricted also.I have read the help text documentation and understand that for performance reasons, this is the res

Attributes in a Customization

Looking into the ability to have Attributes published into Customizations. Use case:We have a testing environment that we test Customizations before publishing into our Production instance (as everyone should hehehe). I want to make a Attribute on the for Vendors, that I attach to each Vendor Class. But I am trying to figure out how to do this in a Customization if possible, that way I don’t have to recreate those fields and connections in our Production instance. I could just publish the Customization and it would create the required fields. Is that possible? I can’t find any documentation on that use case.

Unable to Allocate (in Finance) because account is part of Account Group

I am trying to set up an Allocation (in Finance) involving accounts that are members of Account Groups. These accounts require a project to be specified in a journal entry, and in this case we would want to use X (non-project code). When we Run Allocation it errors when trying to save the GL batch, because non-project code isn’t specified by default. Text of error is below, followed by screenshot. Has anyone run into this issue? Hoping this could be solved without customization. Would be unfortunate if accounts used in Account Groups can’t be used in a finance Allocation. Error: Inserting 'GL Transaction' record raised at least one error. Please review the errors. Project is Required but was not specified. Account '6330' used in the GL Transaction is mapped to Project Account Group.

Adding Bank ACH reference number to batch ACH payment in Acumatica

Does anyone add the reference number provided by the bank for ACH batch transactions to the batch payment in Acumatica post Acumatica release of the batch paymentI have to release the payment in Acumatica to obtain the export file and would like to be able to go back and add the reference number from bank to that released batch payment in a field that can be searched in the GI.I appreciate any feedback.

Wrong GL account setup

Hi,I find the setup of an GL account in my company book is wrong in Acumatica. It was setup by my predecessor as asset, but it should be a liability item. As a result, the balance sheet is not balanced. I only find out now as I use the trial balance only in the past few months. I try to change the type in chart of account but an error message pop up. It said “You cannot change the selected GL Account type because transactions for the GL Account already exist”.Please advise how to resolve the issue. Thanks!Raymond

Adding Existing (old) Fixed Assets into the FA Module

We just recently started using Acumatica’s Fixed Asset Module. Prior to this, we have kept everything on a spreadsheet and entered the depreciation via a journal entry.I have no issues entering/adding new Fixed Assets, but does anyone know the process of adding old fixed assets into the FA Module? By “old” I mean the assets that were purchased in prior years that have already been either fully or partially depreciated?When added into the FA Module, these assets should not have an impact on the General Ledger since the assets and the depreciation expense is already “on the books”.Thanks in advance for your help!

changes on AP bil retainage logic?

We just upgrade our version from 2022R1 to 2023R1. We received complaint from our customer regarding on AP retainage process flow. Previously, user can define retainage during AP bill data entry without need to define at Vendor or Purchase Order. With 2023R1 version, user need to enabled retainage option at vendor master and retainage option must be define at Purchase order first then it will trigger at AP bill screen. Why the process flow changes? and i try to find the changes in 2022R2 and 2023R1 release note. No record on this changes. Or i miss out the information. Any one have solution as Purchase order already released without retainage and now user want to create AP Bil invoice with retainage. Thank you,NasFrom Malaysia with love.

AP Payment Approval with Workgroup

I have an approval map set up for AP Checks and Payments. Currently, the approver is a workgroup with 3 members. As it is set up now, only 1 of the 3 members of the workgroup has to approve it. However, the people submitting the payments for approval are also in the workgroup. So, the scenario is that 1 person in the workgroup submits for approval, then 1 of the 2 other members have to approve it. Is it possible to do this utilizing the workgroup? Or do I have to set up steps with a condition of who is submitting it for approval?

We’re in Canada and use the Plaid API to retrieve bank transactions and are wondering if it’s possible to retrieve bank balances as well. If so, how do you configure Acumatica/Plaid and where would Acumatica store & display the balance.Ideally we’d like a dashboard showing bank balance less uncleared cash transactions to show an available cash position.TIA

Payroll earnings posted to wrong account after released and posted

We have CM (Commissions) and RG (Regular Pay) for payroll. CM posts to Salesmen Commission account and RG posts to Salesmen Salary account. I have 2 paychecks that posted to salesmen salary but should have posted to Salesmen Commission. The checks have already been released, posted, and cashed by the employee.How can correct the 2 paychecks that posted to the wrong account?Is it a G/L transaction i can do? (reverse the paycheck, then reverse the reverse and fix the accounts that are incorrect?) Thanks in advance!

Created busines event is not worked properly

Hi All,We created a business event based on a standard GI (AR0015DB). But the particular business event was not worked properly. As per the clitent’s requirement, the relevant emails (based on business event) need to be triggered when insert any record to the GI. But unfortunately, the emails were not triggered as we expect.
