Is anyone using Acumatica AP with Chase bank’s Cashflow360 service? The client is switching banks to Chase, and was told about Chase’s Cashflow360 features. It seems to be a fairly robust online bank billpay system where you can maintain vendors, bills (including OCR capabilities), payment methods, and internal approvals. Although the attached Cashflow360 User Guide mentions that it’s meant to integrate with the client’s accounting system, there are no details of how the integration would work, or which systems they already integrate with. The client was told by Chase that Cashflow360 works with Quickbooks, so it suggests to me that Cashflow360 is not designed for larger companies using more powerful Accounts Payable systems.
At first glance, it seems like it would either be almost completely duplicating Acumatica AP, or essentially replacing Acumatica AP. The main thing that caught the client’s attention was that Chase would print and mail checks to their vendors. But it’s important to know that Chase uses their own check numbers, and if Acumatica had an internal check number that’s different from Chase’s check number, the client would have to have the system tracking each other’s number in a memo or external reference number field.
Other than the fact that the bank would be printing and mailing any checks, it doesn’t seem like it would save the user time / effort to use Acumatica AP alongside Cashflow360. It seems like synchronizing vendors, bills, payments between the two would add a lot of setup and ongoing effort, OR they’d stop using Acumatica AP, and simply import a Journal entry from Cashflow360 to Acumatica.
Does anyone have any experience using Chase Cashflow360 and Acumatica to know how the two systems would integrate without making a lot of extra work?
