We went live with Field Service in July 2024. The ONE thing we are struggling with is the requirement to add purchase order items as quickly as they are needed. If our guys are at the hardware store buying a variety of nuts and bolts, it is cumbersome to enter these details at the time of purchase for the techs in the field on their iPads or the people in the office. In our former software (Sage 300 - and yes, we know it is antiquated), but we could have a blank Purchase Order and fill in the purchases later. At the very lease, a blank purchase order alerted us that we have an vendor purchase against the appointment. Because of this limitation, we are not using purchase orders at all. Have any of you figured out how to enter a blank Purchase Order in Acumatica?
What happened to "SELECT ON MAP” functionality? We just upgraded from 2023 R2 to 2024 R1 and the “SELECT ON MAP” button has disappered. We now have only “VIEW ON MAP”, which does not verify addresses as "SELECT ON MAP” did.
Since (my understanding, especially based on other posts) Acumatica doesn’t provide any warranty functionality besides the “Warranty” checkbox on service order detail, I’m curious how other service companies that ultimately need to file warranty claims with their vendors handle service order billing and inventory handling, as well as tracking claims with their vendors. We have a pretty good setup, but it’s all customization. We added a Warranty Vendor column in FS Details (since we can have multiple vendor claims on one service order). If filled in, logic kicks in that sets the prices (on stock and non-stock items) to based on vendor price records for those items, and then discounts it 100% with the discount offset to a warranty AR account. There is a process screen that then reviews all invoices from service orders with any warranty lines and creates a claim. The claim is actually a PO Return Receipt, in which we “return” a nonstock item to the warranty vendor for the amount of the c
Has anyone encountered this error on an Appointment? We are trying to Quick Process this appointment using Sales Order Quick Processing, also run billing and we get this error. We do not require serial numbers, also i’m wondering if its due to the fact that we have 2 EA UOMs in our conversion table. Any help would be appreciated! In Service Orders (or appointment's) I have found that when I add an item that has a new stock item + warehouse combination the Item Warehouse Detail for the new warehouse is not added to the stock item..This is causing it to not appear on my Prepare Replenishment screen. If I manually add the warehouse detail to the stock item, I will have to also have toggle the Override Replenishment Settings for the Replenishment Source & Replenishment Warehouse to load from the defaults outlined on the Stock Items screen.I hope this makes sense, I can provide screen shots if needed for more explanation.Acumatica 2023R2 Build 23.212.0024
We have discovered a rather significant error caused by recent changes in Acumatica related to appointments managed in the mobile app. This is now affecting nearly all of our clients. Apparently Acumatica has made a change in how the signature function works on appointments, triggering a background process that takes the signature image and applies it to a PDF copy of the appointment summery. Previously when the technician would have a customer sign an appointment, Acumatica would simply attach an image of the signature to the appointment. Now Acumatica takes that signature and generates a PDF copy of the appointment summery, then deletes the signature image file. This sounds great, because people would rather be able to see the signature applied to the document rather than just sitting there as an image file. The problem is that Acumatica’s process of creating a PDF with the applied signature, attaching it to the appointment, and then deleting the image file causes the appointment in
Hi Community, I was referred here by someone from support. Does any one have already experience an issue on the invoices after the upgrade? The invoice from service order has a direct link which shows on the related document of the invoice. After our upgrade, the related svc doc nbr (related document) is still showing on the invoice, however, you cannot use this as a reference in generic inquiries or reports. Is this a known issue on 2024 R1? Does anyone have a resolution to fix this?
What roles can I use to set field services in 2024 R2?
Hello:Does anybody knows if there are any field services roles define in the 2024 R2 version of Acumatica? and if there are not, Which I can use to define the service role?thanks,
Hello- Hopefully this is relatively easy fix and I’m just missing something. So, we’re creating appointments and using the buttons to start travel, begin work, stop work, etc. When the Travel portion of the appointment is completed, the box is checked for Add to Actual Duration. However, when we Start Work, the box is not automatically checked for the work line item:When this box is not checked, the line item in the Details tab defaults the Actual Duration to the value in the Estimated Duration. It could be a setting in the Service Order Type, but is there a way to have this Add to Actual Duration box checked for all log items? Thanks in advance for any help!
How do we create a Service Appointment invoice (billing) for the total only? We want to summarize rather than itemize the invoice to the customer to include only a total for the service provided. The Log captures each step of the process. We want to capture all of this info, but bill only for the combined total and summarize the invoice rather than spell out each separate line-item and charge. How do we do this?
We have over 30 service techs and they all drive a van that is stocked with parts they may need. Is there a way to set a default so when they use one of those parts it auto populates to there warehouse(VAN) when posting it to their appointment?
Hi All,Is there anyway to get a defualt branch on either the customer contracts or contract items? We have multiple branches with different contracts, it currently defaults to the logged in branch when running the contract billing
We have a couple of End Period plus service contracts that we have been billing for nearly a year now. We now need to know how do we remove a piece of equipment from the service contract, but leave all others?
WARNING: Skip this paragraph if you are just looking for a quick solution. :)Hello Folks,I have been meticulously working on import scenarios re: Service Management and haven’t seen a lot of folks just sharing what they’ve got in terms of solutions and mapping and exported Import Scenarios and stuff. I know the info is out there -- I mean people must be importing data for their clients and standing up Acumatica for them, It’s almost like we see these things as our own personal artwork that we will show a glimpse of to folks, but will not outright share how we did it. In my 28 years of IT work I have encountered this over and again. It’s like if you share how you did it with others, you suddenly lose value as a professional. The presumption here is that you only have a few secrets and if you give them all away, you will not be marketable. I have always come against this norm by sharing everything I know with people and not holding back the solutions I have come up with. It so
Customer does not have the Project module installed. So I can see how COGS gets posted to the GL by releasing the issue associated with an appointment invoice, but how does the cost of labor get posted to the GL? How is the cost determined and when does it get posted and is there something that needs to be done in order for this to happen? I have already added a time card for an employee and added a labor rate for same, enabled time tracking in Service Order Preferences as well and I am using a non-stock hourly labor item associated with a labor item class and choosing the above employee for the appointment, performing the appointment and closing, then run billing and release the invoice. Still can’t see the cost of labor posting. What am I missing?
Does anyone know how long it takes to implement the Acumatica Field Service Module? Anyone know of an advisor that can do it quickly and cost effectively? Thank You
Has anybody used a solution from a ISV for Electronic Driver Logs? Our current company does shorthaul which doesn’t require EDL but we are starting to see that with our trucks traveling beyond 150 miles radius that it will be required. We are hoping if it has some Acumatica intergration it could help our company with some intercompany billing. Anybody familiar with what solutions are out there and how its worked for them?
Is there a better way to do this? I don’t see an option for “one-time upfront”. The best it looks like we can do is to bill a Service Contract yearly. Here’s my workaround. Please let me know if any has alternative suggestions. Duration = x years Billing Period = Year Service Per Period - adjust line item to the x-year total Deferral Code - add x term deferral code (e.g. 3 years/36 months) Run Service Contract Billing Deferral Schedule created after AR Invoice processing Should accurately recognize revenue across x terms (in this case 36 months) For years 2, 3, etc. - modify services period and zero out prices so no billing/revenue generation occursIt’d be ideal if there was a Period option of “one time” or “only once” for upfront billing. I can submit an idea if there isn’t one already and if others believe that’s needed.
We create a Sales Quote, mark lines Require Appointment; create Field Service Order. The order is created, but the lines are marked and Nonbillable. The detail lines are non editable. How to resolve.
Hi,Has anyone encounter issue where you imported the Appointments with line detail successfully, but the service order that created automatically from the imported appointments has missing line detail? When I created the appointment manually, the service order that created automatically has no issue with line detail, only when using import scenario that this issue happen. Thank you. Regards,Chern
We are using an automation to create cases from our Work Orders outlook email. We’re running into a couple issues. First is duplicate cases. Ex. If someone replies all it adds a RE: to the front of the subject and creates a new case. Or if a new contact is added to the email it creates a new case. Now we have multiple cases for one conversation. Second - The attachments in the email (in activities) does not transfer over when creating SO from Case. Is there a way to have the attachments from the email transfer over?
Good Morning, WITHOUT using the “Mark for PO” feature, is there any way to create a filter showing which Service Orders are “Ready to Schedule”? I have created a filter looking at the INSiteStatus table, ensuring that the QtyOnHand > 0 (for the specific warehouse). Which works great, except that it doesn’t look at all item rows. Meaning a Service Order may require three different Inventory Items, and my filter will show the Service Order as “Ready to Schedule” when just one item meets my criteria of QtyOnHand>0. I would like the filter to only show the Service Call as “Ready to Schedule” when ALL Inventory Items have a QtyOnHand>0. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks,Alec
Has anyone seen this before? On the Calendar Board filter, the check boxes visualy change when you try to check them. Clicking or double clicking the boxes does not activate the filters. The only way I can get the box to check is to tab to that box and spacebar. This happens on both Chrome and Edge. 23 R1 (we’re upgrading to 24 R1 in less than 2 weeks)
Before I submit a support ticket, I wanted to see if the community has this answer already… I have two almost identical Service Contracts created, both Active and invoiced. In the Service Order, when I select the first contract that I created (0063) or don’t select a contract at all, the Target Equipment appears for selection in the details properly (see first screenshot). I have another Service Contract (0068) that I created, but when I select this in the Service Order, the Target Equipment disappears from selection. I have absolutely no idea why this is the case. Has anybody encountered this or know why this is happening? Can there not be 2 service contracts active at the same time? This seems to be a bug to me…
