Hi all,I am trying to figure best way to handle the following.Let’s assume that a new Project (related to construction edition with Progress Billing) is opened to manage the installation of HVAC and electrical installation. This project needs to monitor both costs related to equipment and labor. It would be ideal when new equipment is to be delivered and installed on site, a Service Order and related appointment is created to manage both the issue of the equipment from store to site and also to manage the time it takes to install the equipment and employees who are doing such service and capturing all related costs directly on the Project. The question I am trying to resolve is how best to record the issue of equipment  and capture all costs on the Project as there seems to be 3 possible optionsThrough a Sales Order linked to Project - Seems strange and not logic to use this especially since billing of both equipment and service will be

Hi team,We need to increase the length of the 'Equipment Type' field. Currently, it is set to 15 characters, but we want to save up to 30 characters.We replaced the code as shown in the attached screenshot.After making this change, we successfully added the 30-character limit. However, if we select an attribute in the Attribute tab, the value automatically becomes blank after saving. Hello all,I am experiencing weird behavior with “DailyFieldReportEntry” graph events. When we have a CacheAttached Event in a graph typically it is the first one triggered by the platform to override DAC properties. As you can see in the below code on the same DAC I have two events. Acumatica triggers the RowSelected Event and everything works in my code as expected but oddly the CacheAttached Event is not triggered at all. But logically it should have been triggered before any other event. In fact, when I put a break on it to trace, it never is been hit at any point. Has anyone found a way to link cases to target equipment?Use case is: We sell/install a serialized item at a customer and it becomes a piece of target equipment.  The customer contacts us with a question/problem on that specific piece of equipment.   It is important to be able to track case history for each serial number (aka equipment record).Maybe this is there and I’m just missing it.Thanks for any unput.Andy

We get an error that says - ‘This MySqlConnection is already in use. See https://fl.vu/mysql-conn-reuse’ when we try to ‘complete’ large appointments.  Once we get this error message we are unable to cancel, alter, save, complete or bill this appointment.This has happened on appointments ranging from  25-45 lines.Anyone have any idea why this is happening and how we can get around the issue?

Has anyone found a way in the browser settings (Chrome, Edge, etc.) to set up an automatic refresh on the calendar board?  We have clients who open the calendar board in a new window and then drag it to a 2nd or 3rd monitor. They want to view it throughout the day as they are working.  But if they are idle for several minutes and others are changing the board, their page doesn’t refresh unless they force it to or unless they make a change.  Is there a way to set it up so that it can refresh automatically every 5 minutes (like dashboard widgets)?  

How can I remove the access to set the option of ‘Close’ as a status for most users in an Appointment or a Service Order? We would like most users, like data entry or service technicians to be able to set the status of ‘Complete’ but not ‘Close’ - We want to control this option to 1 person that will review the Service Orders/Appointments before billing and closing them. Hi - we are trying to generate a time card and it’s pulling the year of 2091. Nowhere in this employees record states a future year. The hire date is in 2024. Where would I find how to change this? Thanks 

Is there a way to list the file names of attached documents that are under “Files”.? My ultimate goal is to be able to filter appointments that have signatures attached since the naming convention of signed appointments have the work “signed” in it. Or is there an easier way to achieve this?

We have two different customer numbers set up for the same job location.  (One under the old owner name and one under the new owner name)  Both have have history so we cannot make one inactive or delete it.  Is there a way to merge the two customers together?

When a service order is generated which requires parts that are make to order, how does Acumatica generate demand to build the product. Make to order parts on sales orders can be seen in the create production order screen, but I am not seeing make to order parts from Service Orders.Our situation is that customers with service contracts get replacement parts on a regular cadence.  The schedule generates a service order with the make to order parts on it.  The parts on service contract are make to order because they require the production team to assemble and program them.In our old system we had a person constantly entering these service contract parts orders and releasing production orders.  Trying to streamline in Acumatica.ThanksPeter 

I have an appointment that was completed by our field service team.  It shows completed in the Appointments GI, but when we go to select it we get an error that completely prevents us from opening the ticket.  It looks like a field reference error, the issue is we cannot get into the Appt anymore to troubleshoot.  Any ideas? 

Monday Morning Problem:I don’t know what happened in Acumatica over the weekend, but here is our issue:Service Appointments marked as “Completed” no longer allow us to add new inventory items and “Mark for PO”.This may seem strange that we want to do that, but we have been doing it for quite some time already. We mark the appointment completed when the log is complete and we need the time to go onto the service technician’s time sheet.  Up until today we were able to add items to order on the appointment, and then add a separate log later when the technician returns to install the ordered part.Is there a setting that we can change and allow “Mark for PO” Items to be added? Is there a way in which one can use Route Management capablitlies for the delivery of items from sales orders?One can create a service order from the sales order for goods and installation and then create appointments for employees, however, this is for staff and we need it for vehicles in which the routes and appointments can be managed.

I am trying to make a generic inquiry of appointments for the current month and past months so I can add a widget to my dashboard of a bar graph on how many hours are being used with each of our customers. I still struggle with making GIs...

I have a client that is testing 2022 R2 and on the appointments screen of field services, they are getting the message that Tax is not up to date however tax is recalculating. This message does not disappear when saving the appointment but when this message appears on the service order, it disappears with a save. I did not see a known issue for this but could have missed it. Anyone know why this is happening?  

I’ve been working learning the Project Accounting module and need some help with setup. I’ve reached out to our partner but also wanted to see if there were any experienced users that would be willing to help me out.My main issue right now is figuring out how to get Project Transactions (labor, material, charges) to post correctly when billed from an Appointment. Service Order Type only allows one Account Group to be assigned and when the Project Transaction is created everything gets tagged to that group. I don’t know if the Allocation Rules would fix the issue because I can’t seem to get it to work like I think it’s supposed to. Thoughts? I really need to get this setup as it would be a big game changer for us.
