Azure AD licensing requirement

In the Azure AD integration documentation it states that “Your company should have a Microsoft Azure subscription to register your Acumatica ERP instance in Azure AD”. Does that mean that a premium-level P1 or P2 subscription is needed for each user or will the “free” tier included with Microsoft 365 work?

Azure AD credential source

A client is syncing Active Directory credentials from their on-premise domain to the “free” tier of Azure AD included with Office 365. They are using a cloud-hosted instance of Acumatica. Can AD integration be set up with their Azure AD instance or would ADFS be required since their on-prem infrastructure is still the authoritative source?

Site logo reverts to default Acumatica.

Hi, Faced a teething problem. Uploaded client’s site logo and report logo in the Visual Appearance tab in Companies screen (CS101500). What appears on screen, is the Acumatica’s default logo. Cleared cache many times, log out and refresh website and site logo remains the same. Checked in the File Maintenance screen (SM202510) and access right is public. Where could we have gone wrong?

Unable to open Project Quote listing after upgrading to 2020R2

We upgraded to version 20.207.0012. The upgrade path was: from 19.205.0023 to 19.206.0036 then to 20.201.0051 then to 20.202.0043 finally to 20.207.0012 We did all of these update is one night and did not test inbetween updates. Testing seems to show most things are fine, however we now cannot open the Project Quotes listing page. We are able to open the Project Quotes form (PM304500) and we can open existing quotes using that form, but any attempt to visit the Project Quotes listing (PM3045PL) results in this error: A table with the alias Owner cannot be found. We have in the past applied a customization project pertaining to quotes, but we unpublished before the upgrade and have not yet republished. Those customization projects did not affect PM3045PL, but they did make changes to PM304500 and they did add a couple of columns to the CROpportunitiesProducts database table. Of course, those columns are still in the database. Any help sorting this out would be much appreciated.

'W(n)' in Acumatica URL not incrementing, causing widgets with shared filters to not load properly

Hi, I am having an issue with the ‘W(n)’ value in the URL generated by Acumatica. For reference, this is a sample URL https://domain/AcumaticaInstanceName/(W(n))/Main?ScreenId= AR3010PL Basically, when clicking a shared filter KPI widget on a Dashboard, the system opens the Generic Inquiry in a new tab, however the W(n) value is always the same and the shared filter that is opened is the same as when the user clicks the first filter. I am aware that this value is used for caching purposes, however I cant understand why its not incrementing such that the correct shared filter is opened. Has anyone had experience with such issues please? If so, can you please advise what can be done to sort such issues? Thanks, Nigel Pace

How to Optimize Speed in Local Instance

Hello Acumatica Community, I just started training in Acumatica University. I am running a local instance of 2020 R2 with Microsoft SQL Server Express. Everything seems to be working fine, but speeds on the local host are very slow. I have a brand new machine (i7 cpu, 16gb ram, SSD), but loading forms is still very slow. I configured IIS with the default settings outlined in the installation guide. Does anyone have a recommended configuration to optimize speed on a local instance? I do not see any forum discussion related to this topic. Also, is standard SQL Server recommended over SQL Server Express? Thanks! Andrew

How to set the default 'Ship Via' carrier on Sales Order and Shipments?

I cannot find anywhere how to set the default shipping carrier that is chosen on the Sales Order screen under the Shipping Settings tab under ‘Ship Via’ and also on the Shipment screen at the same place. We have implemented the FedEx carrier plugin, but not the UPS one. UPS Ground is on the Ship Via Codes, but there is no place to select the default. We have 6 FedEx Ship via Codes, from the plugin, and one UPS and UPS is defaulting on every document. Thanks, and this would be a good thing to include in the documentation on setting up carriers.

Disable RELEASE per user

Is there an easy way to disable the RELEASE button in Inventory Adjustments for a specific user? If not, how do you set a role for this? I have this role shared with many users, so I’m hoping not to make a duplicate role with this single field disabled in it if possible.

Do I have the option to turn on/turn off automation schedule history log?

Hello, For example, the system are having a scheduler “send all emails” at 2 minutes interval. Yes, the execution log is helpful for troubleshooting. However, it might also cause a lot of records that are not quite useful. Can I turn on/ turn off for each scheduler the log? Or can system automatically clean the historical log that are more than like 30 days ago?

Hey Folks, I am wondering if there is an option to show users only the workspaces that are relevant to them. For instance someone in Procurement does not need to see the Banking workspace. Thanks!

Error: Update button disabled when doing mass update to Vendor records

Hello, I wanted to change about 1000 of our vendor’s from one vendor class to another using the Mass Update function of the standard Vendor GI. When I go to do it it fails with an “Error: Update button disabled”. Any chance someone here has run into (doing any function) that or do I need to open a support ticket? I am on 2020R2 with the following build and customizations. How to register mobile device app

On 2020R1, when I login on the mobile app it is not registering new devices. I have several that have been registered previously but I can’t get any to register anymore. Is there a way to register manually or do I have to submit a support ticket?

Acumatica POS 2020R2

Hello, In the GA release note of Acumatica 2020R2 I read that in the core product will be available some new functionality for retail sales (https://www.acumatica.com/corporate-newsroom/press-releases/acumatica-2020-r2-released-with-additional-ai-ml-capabilities/ : “Acumatica POS: manage over-the-counter retail sales for all your retail locations, allowing you to manage a complete omni-channel experience inside Acumatica.” ) I prepared a demo site with the last version of 2020R2 (20.203.0028) but I could’t find anything about this. Is someone here that can provide more information about this functionality and also can inform us when actually will be available? Thank you!

Trying to Create an Generic Inquiry and pull from two tables

Hello! I’m trying to create an Generic Inquiry that pulls data from our Sales Orders and Support Cases; however, I believe I’m having issues with configuring it properly. As of right now, I have it set up to where it can pull information from Sales Orders (Order qty, order total, etc.), but I can’t seem to pull a certain attribute from our Support Cases. When I add the attribute to the GI list, it just shows up empty. I’m assuming I don’t have a relation set up properly somewhere? All help is appreciated!

How to automate default email templates

Hello, We have below requirement to trigger an automated email to the customers. Requirement We have created the new Notification Template in Acumatica. When we create a form in Magento, that activity will be created in Acumatica as Opportunity. - This part working fine. We have triggered an email with that Notification Template and observed everything workign fine. But we are pending with automation email part. As soon as opportunity is created in Acumatica, it should trigger an email to client. Could you please let know how to achevie this part. Best Regards,Naveen B

Test Email Error

Hi, This morning, I logged into Acumatica thinking I would make some final changes to an email campaign before sending. As a final check, just to make sure everything performs as I expect, I tried to send myself a test copy. However, when I attempted to do this, I ran into an error. “535: 5.7.3 Authentication unsuccessful.” Has anyone else experienced this problem? If so, could you help point me in the right direction to resolve it? I would greatly appreciate any advice the community can provide. I am fairly new to Acumatica’s marketing tools and am still trying to learn my way around. Virtualization

Hi Everybody, I know Acumatica is designed for cloud environment which I assume it means it is built for virtual environments. Now… I have customers running Acumatica on physical servers who want to virtualise their Acumatica environment. I’ve never thought of the following question: Are there any drawbacks/limitations to doing this virtualisation, I mean moving Acumatica to virtual machines? Many thanks for your thoughts and recommendations.

Potential Security issue when using SSO with MS Active Directory

Hello, Just a heads-up about a potential issue when using MS Active Directory in Acumatica 19.211.0011. The way the integration works can be summarised as follows: You map AD groups to Acumatica roles (in Acumatica); When a domain user connects to Acumatica for the first time , a new user is automatically added to Acumatica with the same name of the domain user; Acumatica then assigns roles to this new user according to the mapping. However, there is a bug in the API code and a user is created in Acumatica even though the domain user is not in any Active Directory group mapped to Acumatica roles. This new user profile is created automatically in Acumatica for this non-authorised domain user which gets permissions as guests. By default, Acumatica has a couple of screens opened to guests. The only thing we can do for the moment is to ensure that no screen is available for those authorised users (guests). Also, it drives us to another problem as client may have let’s say about 300 or 500
