As a number of posts have indicated, the system does not prevent timesheets from being released into closed periods. This is a big problem for many service business clients as they are frequently having to release timesheets that were entered late by the employee.  It results in changes to the balances and reports in periods that are closed and this is a nightmare for accountants who discover that their bottom line figures have changed in opening balances.  It breaks one of the fundamental controls of an accounting system. The “Custom Week” settings have an “Active” status but there appears to be no way to change the status to inactive. Thanks 

When customers make payment in CASH, is there a process in acumatica where we can instantly record and print the receipt on the spot before it makes it to the bank account?  Sometime receptionist receives the cash and when it comes to the accounting department, there is count mistake, or customer claims they paid different amounts. Thank you, Shankar  

Where is the AR Statement Form located?  I need to modify it and add a logo and it is not available to select.  The Dunning Letter is available but not the statement form.  Is it hidden?

Hi All,I have noticed that there are inconsistencies between the figures returned by a budget node and those present in the sub-node. I am looking for an explanation of the root cause of this inconsistency and would like to explore possible solutions and best practices to rectify it.For example, the sub-node amount and distributed amount is 352,962.60 while the node amount is 352,962.60 and the distributed amount is 705,925.20.I would appreciate your insights on how to effectively troubleshoot this issue.Thank you.

I am having issues saving a Sales Quote and would love some help!When I am in my Opportunity, I have 5 attributes, 3 of which are required. I fill them in and save. From the pop-up, I just hit CREATE AND REVIEW.When the Sales Quote comes up, I hit SAVE and get this error:CR Error: There are empty required attributes: 'Market Served', 'Product Interest', 'Region' There are empty required attributes: 'Market Served', 'Product Interest', 'Region'. This makes it sound like those exist on the Sales Quote and they need a vlaue, but I don’t have an attributes tab I can see in the form. We have setup tax and it is calculating correctly in the purchase order and the bill. However, rather than going to the 23000 account, the tax is going to the inventory expense accountThe account 23000 is designated for taxes.We are unsure whether we missed any setup since this is working fine in AR, but not in AP where the tax entry is not being entered.

Hello All,I have a case where I must record withholding tax and submit it to the government.Ex: Bill from Vendor is 100$ (does not include any taxes), withholding tax is 15%.As document F335 - Value Added Taxes. there are 2 ways to record withholding taxes.Option 1: Enter directly to GL through Journal Transaction, the entry included:  Debit Credit Payable Account   100 Withholding Tax   15 Expense Account 115    Disadvantage: The system doesn't calculate tax amount. The user needs to manually calculate and input it.Option 2: Create Bill and apply Bill with Payment → Tax Amount will be automatically calculated and booked to GL after Payment is released.Entries on Bill

Hello Guys, as always thanks in advance for any help provided here. My controller is asking if there is a way to look at a report that just show AR transactions, and NOT   “SO transactions”. He says that all orders originate from SO, then they go to AR, and from there they end up in GL. He wants to know a way to pull JUST transactions that were done in AR (modifications, dollars changes, etc) that were done specifically in AR.  He wants to be able to filter out by the Types or AR transactions done in AR, linked to the SO transaction.... so he can then compare, and match with GL. That shows the SO that originated from, but shows the changes made in AR.Does that makes sense? We have another Vendor we use for reporting called DataSelf that is only looking at the SO, not the AR. Hello All,I have been trying to display the email accounts of the users who have created a Journal Entry/Journal Transactions. I am not able to do. I tried to create joins between Batch & BAccount and then between BAccount & Contact and then making Contact.Email visible in the Gi but this displays the email id of the particular branches instead of the creators who created the record. Hi Everyone,We paid a vendor twice and the Vendor asked that we keep the credit in their account to apply to future invoices. The prepayment method doesn’t necessarily work for us as we don’t have any bills received just yet and future bills will not always be expensed to the same general account. Does anyone have an idea on how to record the overpayment but not associate it with a particular expense account?Thanks,

Is anyone using Acumatica AP with Chase bank’s Cashflow360 service?  The client is switching banks to Chase, and was told about Chase’s Cashflow360 features.  It seems to be a fairly robust online bank billpay system where you can maintain vendors, bills (including OCR capabilities),  payment methods, and internal approvals.  Although the attached Cashflow360 User Guide mentions that it’s meant to integrate with the client’s accounting system, there are no details of how the integration would work, or which systems they already integrate with.  The client was told by Chase that Cashflow360 works with Quickbooks, so it suggests to me that Cashflow360 is not designed for larger companies using more powerful Accounts Payable systems.  At first glance, it seems like it would either be almost completely duplicating Acumatica AP, or essentially replacing Acumatica AP.  The main thing that caught the client’s attention was that Chase would print and mail checks to their vendors.  Bu

I have a GI for drop shipped items that looks at the selling price on an SO and compares it with the cost on the associated PO. I have a calculated field for margin & margin %. I would like to add this to a chart that tracks the weighted average margin % but the chart will simply give the average of the averages and is not weighted. How can I make this a weighted average?

We use Incoming Documents extensively (6000-7000 docs/month) for creating AP Bills.  When a document is saved and processed into an AP Bill, that file attachment gets linked to the AP Bill as expected.  The problem we are encountering is that normally on file attachments to a document, if you try to REMOVE LINK from the files page, it will not let you if that entity is the one and only entity the file is linked to.  However, in the case of Incoming Documents → AP Bills, technically that file is linked to an Incoming Document Entity as well as the AP Bill entity.  Because of this the link to the file can be removed from the AP Bill.  Imagine scenario where maybe one user is processing Incoming Documents and then a team of AP staff do further processing of the AP Bill.  If a user inadvertently clicks REMOVE LINK, the file is gone (I know not really deleted) and they have no idea which file was related to that Bill.  Although this doesn’t happen much - this is sort of a potential probl

 Looking for a way to have a different check format by branch.  There is a field on the Payment Method that allows you to set the report template for that payment method, so I thought we could create multiple check type payment methods (each associated with the relevant cash account for the specific branch) and assign the check report to each payment method accordingly.In testing this, I’ve found that no matter what I do, it still prints the same check report regardless of the branch, or payment method used.Has anyone ever got this to work?  Or any suggestions on how to get a check format that is specific to each branch? Thanks!

I am posting this to see if there is any consensus about how other companies are handling the following circumstance.  Welcoming all ideas. We frequently see a situation where AP invoices flow into a company with dates from the prior period after the prior period was closed.Example:  November Closed:  Vendor’s bill arrives by mail on 12/03 with an invoice date of 11/29.I believe there are two options here:   Date the invoice differently (like 12/03 (representing the time it was received) and post it into the 12-2023 period. This will keep your GL account and your Aged Period Sensitive Report in balance. Date the invoice with 11/29 and change the posting period to the OPEN 12-2023 period. I believe this will automatically create a difference between your Aged Period Sensitive Report and your GL balance in November.  Making it impossible to balance AP vs. the GL at EOM.Many compa

We have a critical need to get the actual dollar amount that the customer has paid to date on a project so that we can display that value on a project summary report.  We’ve tried to figure this out but whatever formula or string we need to develop in order to come to the number has proven to be elusive.  Anyone have a way to get this paid-to-date number?

Hello Everyone, We are currently looking for a solution/rule/ condition that will allows us to have the invoices created from a project overwrite the default customer payment method to one our choosing.  For example, CUSTOMER RECORD will have DEFAULT PAYMENT METHOD of either ACUPAYCC or ACUPAYACHWhen we create the invoice from Project A, we will need the BANKTRANSF payment method to be automatically assigned on the PROJECT invoices.Does anyone have any ideas how we can accomplish this requirement?  Thank you in advance!

Hi!I recognized a Vendor invoice in the Incoming Documents and the system didn't map the alternate ID at the first time, so I have to do it manually (select the field alternate id and select the correspoding number in the pdf), then, I saved the document. I did this process +25 times using the same format and the system didn't learn the mapping and every time I have to do the mapping manually.I also Rebuild the text index but it didn’t work.How many times the system has to recognize the same format of invoices to learn a manually mapping? p.s. I have a 2021 R2 version in SaaS.Thanks!
