Adding hyperlink to grid gives disabled error

I have added a view (ContractDetails) in a BusinessAccountMaint extension. One of the columns contains a Vendor Number and I would like to add a hyperlink on that column to make the related vendor number appear in a popup window. I have some specific questions about about how Acumatica developers manage customization projects, in particular those that involve custom C# classes and are developed using Visual Studio: How do you manage your code repository and versioning for Acumatica customizations? Would you recommend using the built-in Azure DevOps tools in Visual Studio to manage Acumatica customization code? Do you have any advice for maintaining multiple different versions of a customization project that correspond to different Acumatica builds? What’s the best way to manage multiple development sandbox instances for multiple clients? Is this usually done on a virtual machine? Do you have any general advice for QA / testing specifically in Acumatica? Overwriting ShipAddressID and ShipContactID in Shipments screen

Hi there, I am trying to override the Ship-to-Address and Ship-to-Contact details by making them automatically filled when I select Customer from a custom field in Shipments screen. Further digging into this shown that the details is referencing from ShipAddressID and ShipContactID which is being referenced from CustomerID on the header. However for Transfer, the Customer selector on the header will be hidden and from SQL, it shows that the Customer is pointing to itself. How do I get the ShipAddressID and ShipContactID to be referenced from the custom Customer field instead?

Cannot preview customized screen even if I delete it and start from a clean copy

I am posting this in case anyone ever has the same issue, they will know how to fix it.I have a customized version of AP301000 in R2020R2 Build 20.207.0012. The page publishes and works fine.In the project editor, on my custom field, I entered a LabelWidth with a value of “M”. This caused the page to error. I unticked the checkbox on the LabelWidth propery. The value [RESET] was automatically filled into the value field. I saved the change and tried to preview and I got this error Steps to try to get rid of the error:unpublished all deleted the screen from the customization published the project restarted the application cleared cookies from the browser added the screen back into the project with no changes. clicked preview changes and I still get the error.I tried this in a different browser, same thing occurs.I also verified that after deleting and unpublishing, in the project editor, there was NO reference to AP301000 anywhere. I checked this by going to File - Edit Project XM

Enable a User Defined Field in Automation Steps for Journal Transactions

Using 2020 R2A while back, I created a UDF on the Journal Transactions screen This value comes from a custom maintenance table.When a JE is posted, this field is no longer editable.I made a workaround by creating a custom form to allow the field to be modified. The user clicks the UPDATE button to open a new screen to change the value on the JE. However, that is clunky and not user friendly.You can’t use workflows on Journal Transactions. So I added the field in the Automation Steps screen:Still no luck. At least the Automation Steps was able to see my UDF!

Beware removing PXEMailSourceAttribute in 2022R1 (marked Obsolete)

You may have noticed when upgrading to 2022 R1 that PXEmailSourceAttribute is now marked Obsolete. [Obsolete("The Wiki Notifications functionality, which is related to PXEMailSourceAttribute, no longer exists.")] Trying to remove all those annoying messages during compile and cleanup my custom code to remove the obsolete attribute, I commented out my use of [PXEmailSource] which happens to be defined on every primary DAC used by a graph that has approvals coded and configured.After removal of the obsolete attribute and rigorous testing of my code, everything seemed ok except for one of several custom screens that implements approvals… until I went to look at Approval Maps and found the Entity Type (EPAssignmentMap.GraphType) drop-down box was blank for my Approval Maps for my custom screens.As it happens, EPApprovalMapMaint in 2022 R1 still contains the following nugget…private class Definition : IPrefetchable<EPApprovalMapMaint>{ public List<PXSiteMapNode> SiteMapNodes

Side panel for an unsaved record

Hello, I would like to use side panel to display information contained in a GI in order to have all required knowledge prior to creating a record in an entry screenI have noticed that I need to save a first level of data in the entry screen, otherwise the side panel would not open.Is it standard behavior?Nota : I don’t need the entry to be recorded in the DB as I don’t need to pass any parameters from the entry screen to the side panel.

How do I update the Cust Ref No 1 with Shipment Nbr on auto pack?

I am trying to get a newly added package to have the Shipment Number in the Customer Ref Nbr 1 field automatically. How to add new conditional fields of a screen in a customization project

I’m creating a vendor compliance workflow based on the Vendors (AP303000). However, I’m stuck with adding a conditional field (IsExpired) that’s related to the compliance documents on the Compliance tab of the Vendors screen. Please see the screenshots below..I need to add the ‘IsExpired’ field (found on the vendors screen - compliance tab) to the list of fields displayed. The yellow highlighted field (Expired) on the Compliance tab of the Vendors screen is what I need my condition to be based on. Auto-Number Error - Number cannot be empty when creating a new item

Hi all,I have gone through the Acumatica training material a few times on this but cannot find the issue. I have created a new screen with the corresponding DACs’ as per the T210 and T220 training material. I have setup the entire DAC with a master-detail relationship setup but get the following error when trying to create a new item.Error: Inserting 'LTFGItems' record raised at least one error. Please review the errors. Renaming a field

In 2021R1, I am trying to change “Start Date” to “Creation Date” on the Tasks Screen CR306020I’ve gone through the answers on this topic: None of them are working.If you inspect that field it shows this:I’ve tried doing it in VS for both StartDate and StartDate_Date. In debug, the StartDate fires so I know I am hitting this code. Table with the custom DAC alias cannot be found in generic inquiry

I’ve created a custom SQL table and DAC, but having difficulty using the new class in a GI. Show create PO GI on Sales Order tab

Hi there,I was tasked to add a PO tab to the SO GI and display the Create PO (PO505000) GI on this tab. I managed to get the tab displayed by using selects from the POCreate graph and creating an SOrderEntry extension.My problem is populating the data for the create PO tab. The create PO GI is displayed with a PXRedirectRequiredException from the SOrderEntry action. I am not sure how to do the same process when it is added as a tab on a different GI.

Custom Fields Disappearing in Customization

Hi, I am working with a customization project and we have added custom fields on the Shipments screen. We have a DAC class set up in Visual Studio, the Database Scripts for these fields have been added in the Project Editor, and the fields have also been added to the screen in the Project Editor. We have added custom fields for seven other screens in this way and they are working just fine. However, with Shipments it seems whenever changes are made to the project in Visual Studio and the new DLL is loaded into the Project Editor, the custom Shipment fields disappear from the Customization Project. The fields will remain in the Screen Editor, under the Form tree, but are removed in the Custom Data Fields section in the Screen Editor. They are also not visible on the Shipments page in the Acumatica instance. This occurs when a new DLL is loaded into the Project Editor, even with changes unrelated to the Shipment fields.I have tried removing the artifacts of these fields in the Form tree,

How to send an email from Visual Studio code

Version 2021 R1On the Tasks screen (CR306020), my customer would like to send an email to the owner of the Opportunity when a task is completed if the owner of the TASK is different than the owner of the Opportunity.Is there an example somewhere of how to trigger an email from Visual Studio code?I created a Notification Template. I’d like to trigger the template from code. I’d need to be able to supply the From and To fields.
