Configuration and Installation

I am trying to follow the guide for adding a filetype of .pfx for use with SFTP.I am able to view the screen 20.25.50, and can create a new line, but when I go to save, it refreshes and removes the new .pfx line. I do not get any errors or other pop ups; I’m at a loss! Has anyone seen this issue?

Is there anywhere in the Help file or otherwise that provides a list of all the special roles in Acumatica? We’ve run across this issue when we create a new role for a specific job. We assign the user the correct access rights for the screen but some UI elements are tied to a special role so they still don’t show.In our case it was being able to open / close Financial Periods-that function is tied to the Financial Supervisor roleHere is a list of special roles that I’ve come up with so far. I would love to have a complete list with explanations. Hello,I have a test/development Acumatica instance running - Build 21.116.0049 . My Acumatica Configuration Wizard is version 21.108.0032. When I try and perform Application Maintenance, it says that work with that instance, I need to use a newer version of the configuration wizard.However, I cannot seem to figure out how to update the Configuration Wizard. I downloaded the latest installer from Acumatica, did a repair (since there was no option to update) with no success?How does one update the Configuration Wizard with interfering with the Instance Itself?

Hello,      We are planning to upgrade our server’s hardware in the coming days.Per my previous experience, this would cause the “installation ID” change.Then if I have to apply the license, I have to firstly deactivate the previous deployment on the old installation ID.       But, right now, I can not find the deactivate button in customer portal.Is it not necessary anymore, or I have to go to a right place? 

Is it possible to set the home page for users to a specific workspace like Time & Expense?  I know you can set the home page to a specific screen but would prefer to open to a full workspace.

Absolute Path problem when launching Database for training servers.I cannot get my database to launch to run Accumatica. I have all IIS settings correct. I think it is a Microsoft SQL express or Windows admin permission issue  

Hello! I am currently working on the system admin course S100, and ran into an issue and would like to ask for your help. In the step shown on the attached pdf on page 61, I made a mistake and chose the latest version of 21.119.0030, instead of 21.101.0047. See also attached screenshots. Will this create any problems down the road? If so, can I downgrade before proceeding? I plan to go on to the Developer Track. Can you advise?

I have to create an approval map where one of our salespeople is in charge of the East United States and the other is in charge of the other half.  I’m opening with the first condition being the lead class starting with DC (one of our brands) and then the states in parenthesis with all OR conditions:Any help making this work would be appreciated, I’m probably having an OR too many or too few, maybe not enough parenthesis?Thank you!

Hello, we are having issue with getting Acumatica to print out the shipping label using Fedex integration. DeviceHub with printer and scale is connected to Acumatica, communicating, no issue there. everything is good until the end when we want to print the label(it is set to auto-print), it just gives us a downloadable version of label in .zplii format which we cant do anything with it. would be more convenient to have it print right away when shipment is confirmed.access rights, default printer, stock label and other settings are all good. using Zebra label printer.

We are a general contractor with two office locations.  Each location has its own “Branch” in Acumatica.  This works great. We are about to start a new “Division” in one of our locations.  I’ll need the ability to create financials for the new division.  Should this be a third “Branch” or should I start using sub accounts? 

I am trying to help a customer with trying to get DeviceHub setup and eventually to get FedEx labels to print via DeviceHub.There are bits of information scattered in the community and on other Acumatica focused sites on the web. Acumatica help documentation also is difficult to find instructions for DeviceHub installation and configuration.Does anyone have a top-to-bottom documentation on at least the DeviceHub setup and usage? Thank you,Greg

What is the best practice way to integrate from a client’s SQL Server to their SaaS Acumatica instance, and send results of the integration back and forth? Can I use a data provider to fetch the information without exposing the client to a security risk?

When I create a Approval Map for Purchase Orders, click on ADD STEP, the Reason Settings disappear from the Rule Action Tab. How can I have a Reason for Approval & Reason for Rejection on the Purchase Approval Map?

Has there been any info or announcements yet on Acumatica support for SQL Server 2022?

This is a nitpick, since the Acumatica help correctly lists the available operating systems for running Acumatica 2021 R2 (including Win Server 2019). However, in the setup instructions for running Acumatica on Amazon EC2 (“Installing Acumatica ERP on Amazon Web Services”), under “To Launch an Amazon EC2 Instance”…..On the Select an Amazon Machine Image (AMI) page, select the Windows Server 2012 Base 64-bit AMI.Since Win Server 2012 is officially end of life about a year from now, it seems like this probably shouldn’t be the default suggestion for running Acumatica, unless I’m missing something.

Is there a way to opt out of using the ellipsis button during navigation?  The action tab was replaced during upgrade which is confusing.

I'm noting this here for some future reference.  I've seen this on a couple of different environments in a few different ways from a few different screens, but each time it's been the same solution....Enable Multi-Currency Projects.  This is the error I was getting when trying to release various financial transactions, all linked to projects.“Error: Inserting 'GL Transaction' record raised at least one error. Please review the errors.  Denominated GL Account currency is different from transaction currency.”  The error you get when releasing a document is a bit vague and other than the little red "X" at the top of the screen, there's no clear place to see the error as no tabs or cells are flagged.  The error text is a bit misleading and could be clearer.  It would be nice if the error message referenced that the “Project Currency is different from the Transaction Currency”The error message leads you to check the AP or AR account or maybe that the bank account is in the correct currency

This is a companion thread to my other thread about general performance tuning of Acumatica. However, this is specific to hardware configuration for bare metal servers running Acumatica. I am probably going to separate the application and database servers. So any suggestions for bare metal SQL Server and bare metal IIS for Acumatica? I may run some thin virtualization layer in order to run many instances, but the goal is to give the instances as much access to server horsepower as possible. Any suggestions from the field? Assume money is not an object.

I would like to start a conversation about optimizing the performance of Acumatica ERP. This is a pretty general statement, as some processes or screens may require more heavy lifting than others, so there is of course no one-size-fits-all for performance tuning. With that said, let’s define performance as “the 80/20 rule for most users most of the time”. This means that most screens will load within 1 second, and most users will not be waiting more than a couple seconds for most processes to finish.With that rather general benchmark as our guide, what has everyone found as being important to the performance of various aspects of Acumatica ERP? I have thrown some pretty serious firepower at this system (think $6,000/month bill on AWS for virtual Windows Server + high performance RDS instance). Hi All,We have problem in accessing the acumatica modules, when we connect using the “Server name: acumatica.xxx.com” and get the below error in screenshot. If we connect using IP address and localhost, then no issues, we can able to access all the modules in acumatica. Already we checked our DNS configuration, everything looks good.
