System Health and Performance

The Active Users list in the System Monitor shows individual users multiple times. Is this something we need to be concerned about and is it consuming resources? (In our prior ERP seeing the same user multiple times meant they hadn’t logged out properly or a session hung.) It’s especially strange that the “admin” user appears multiple times with high “Time from Last Activity” values as no-one uses that login.Do we need to take action on this or is it normal? Thanks! 

We’re trying to do our first major version upgrade since going live.  I’ve spent dozens of hours testing in the sandbox and the whole company is prepped (and excited!).Then on Monday, the wrong version was ‘upgraded’.  No worries, mistakes happen.  But on Tuesday our partner was told there is now no upgrade path.  And Acumatica’s plan is to upgrade to a release that’s coming out next week and is 6 (minor) builds ahead of the sandbox we’ve been testing in. Am I wrong in thinking this is dangerous plan?  I’m down for whatever my partner says is safe, but I’m more puzzled (and getting frustrated and concerned) with the ‘no upgrade path’ and the inability for Acumatica to fix it’s error.  What happened to all the benefits of SaaS, with our site super backed up and recoverable?  Can a sys admin really push a button and those backups be gone?  If that is the case, then how come a non-recoverable upgrade is not confirmed before they happen?  Our partner or someone at our company should have r

I’d like to lockdown accounts being used for integration purposes via IP Filter. I’ve done this successfully already but have run into a bit of a blip. I do a lot of my testing through postman.co and can’t seem to figure out the IP or range they’re using so I can add them to the IP Filter within the User. I then had a thought… it might be a solid idea to be able to report user’s activity including the originating IP. This would be a sort of du diligence in my mind. To be fair, we are considering 2fa via MS365 but I think there’s still merit to this. Thoughts? Does something already exist that I might not be aware of? Thanks in advance ;-)

This file, and it’s related indexes are taking up half of our database. The current file size of the database (.mdf file) is 135GB and we’ve only had it installed for three weeks.At this rate we will have a 1TB db in ten months. Any idea what’s going on with this?

Why 2020R1 doesn’t have 2 Factor authentication Policy where can enable 2 factor authentication setting in 2020R1?  

We recently modified the ‘Keep Audit History for:’ setting from the default of 999 months to 2 months. Does anyone know if there is a schedule as to when the truncation occurs?It has been 24 hours be we have not seen any change in the table size on the Space Usage screen.  I did run the ‘Calculate Used Space’ function on SM203525.Audit settings on SM201060:Thanks!Laura

Customer is having an issue using Chrome with 20.104.0012. Upon login, the session expired pop up appears, and the user can’t click into anything. Anyone else having this problem with the latest Chrome update using 2020 R1? I know older versions have experienced issues, but I haven’t seen anything related to an Acumatica version this recent. We have cleared history, cache and cookies. Thanks!

Good dayIs there a way to see what is pulling data out of the system and how much? I have looked at the Access History(OData refresh) but I am thinking the API can also be an issue.We currently experiencing massive data pulls via the IIS on our server and I can't see what is pulling the data.Any ideas or suggestions will be helpful 

 Hi,We currently have 2 sets of Purchase Orders (i.e. 4 purchase orders in total) which have the same OrderNbr. Fortunately, this isn’t causing any issues in the database, since the 2 sets of PO’s have different types, i.e. 1 Drop-Ship and 1 regular PO, and luckily this has only happened twice in more than 2 years, but I don’t think this is normal behaviour, is it? Note that we are using MySQL as database.We’re using the numbering sequences with auto incremental values, so technically these 4 POs should all have had different reference numbers, right? Is there perhaps something we can do to enforce that this doesn’t happen? It is causing a little bit of confusion in our operations department when they see 2 POs with the same reference number.

Hello again Everyone, I recently discovered that there are some wrong conversions set in my Inventory module. I have corrected them now but I can not seem to reflect to change in the conversion in my inventory reports, please help on how to fix this? Thank you! Kind regards,Mrivera67

Pretty sure this is a bug:In the SM203525 Space Usage / List of Snapshots:Highlighted the first snapshot, which as you can see is Kirk Properties 2021-03-06. Clicked on the name, it brings up the tenant screen, but… …while it shows the correct tenant it shows the wrong snapshot, and one that doesn’t even belong to this tenant!  Dangerous, to say the least!

Is it safe to run “Validate Inventory” on a weekly basis?  

Hello,      I’ve read the postBut I am still wondering, Is anyone else experiencing this same kind of feeling?     After our upgrade from 2020r1 to 2020r2 (Build 20.203.0028), users are saying the system is obviously run slower than before.    Like placing SO lines, it would take more time to get the inventory id filled in.      Like saving a document, it would take more time to complete.     Which means they feel OK before, and feel bad after. The hardware and users did not change. I don’t know. Is it an illusion? Or is it really due to some new features bring in by 2020r2 that would cost more system resources?       Can someone give me some guidance to make system run faster, like turn off any unessential features?

Hello,   As system goes,  I found the “Acumatica ERP\BackUp\Sites” on our server hard disk is becoming larger and larger. I checked the files inside “Acumatica ERP\BackUp\Sites”    Some are years old.   I don’t know at what time did the system automatically back these files?    And I don’t think they are needed anymore, causing there are serval version updated.    But for safety， I have to ask， is it safe to clean the files inside “Acumatica ERP\BackUp\Sites”

The F105 course page 57 shows that you can unlock a financial period. On the Manage Financial Periods GL503000 does not have an option “Unlock” - it only has “Open, Close, Lock, Deactivate”Please correct manual - but preferably please make changes in Acumatica R1-2020 that indeed a Locked Period can be Unlocked.
