We just recently upgraded to 24R2 and noticed a few hyperlinks that used to open in the same tab, now open in new tabs.  For example, in projects, if we click on the hyperlink to get to the pro forma, it opens in a new tab.  Is there an easy way to revert this back to where the hyperlink opens in the existing tab? Thanks!

In project accounting, is there a report that shows employee hours and the corresponding billed amount by project? On our billing rule, we are generating a billing detail for each time detail. Ie. no aggregating.On the AR invoice, we see individual details corresponding to each time activity; however, it does not contain the employee ID/information. Does anyone have a way of showing the hours and amounts information on one report?

 Hi,I'm experimenting with moving transactions from Project A to Project B.However, as soon as I enable POST transaction to GL, it gives me an error.Yet the project and tasks exist, and the accounts in the original transaction belong to account groups. As a trial and error, I tried to do the following for the accounts:[debit account]  & [credit account] "use source" & "use source","use source" & "Debit source""Credit source" and "use source","Debit source" "Credit source"This didn't work either way.What am i doing wrong?   

many of our construction clients want to be able to use advanced warehouse management features like scanning, receiving, transferring material to projects / returning items from job sites.  Currently the only way I’ve been able to make this work with construction is via the incredibly clunky project location process that requires assigning each project to a unique warehouse location. Reason I've needed to do this is that the mobile issue, receipt, or transfer items simply do NOT allow you to code entries to project, project task, or cost code, and you are forced to have the warehouse fill that information for you. How are other people handling these needs? customization? Third party?

Is there a way to restrict access so that Project Managers can add projects and project tasks, but cannot change the status of the Task or Project to Complete?  We want the project and tasks status to be changed only by accounting.  I have tried to restrict this with the Access Rights by Role by changing the Project Management access to Insert for the Project and Project Tasks, but even after this change, it is still allowing them to change the project status.  Thank you!

Hi all, I have a prospect who uses Exaktime for time reporting and imports that data via AccountLynx into ADP for payroll, he says this “connection is unreliable.” Has anyone experienced issues with data import from Exaktime to Acumatica? Any help/feedback is greatly appreciated, thanks in advance!

GC here, implementing a prequalification program for vendor onboarding. We’re running prequalification outside Acumatica and want to reflect the following in Acumatica, ideally on the header area of a Vendor’s directory page: Prequalification status Single Project Limit Max total capacity v total in current open commitmentsCurious if others have done similarly? Would love to hear what ended up being feasible within Acumatica and what approach you took.

It’s working but many users will have to make edits on a regular basis and the business event triggers an e-mail again after making edits. How are people handling Material on Hand (stored Material) payment to a subcontractor? If I pay the subcontractor through their subcontract, it shows they completed units, which really isn’t correct.  You can override the amount box on the invoice, but I am afraid that would cause issues down the line and be cause for missed payment and confusion from subcontractors and office staff. My proposed solution is to create a change order for 0 units and LS cost.  This will show an overpayment of planned units on that line, and when we are actually paid (and stored material reduced) it will back down to zero dollars for the MOH line and positive on the actual work completed line.Any other thoughts? Thanks,Jeremy  

hello all,I am looking to add an additional line of extra charges into each project AR Invoice using Billing rule. And the amount for this additional line would be 10% of the total invoice amount. How can I achieve this? I tried creating a specific task & account group for this, added this in Billing rule but the billing rule isnt going on this step.

We are 2.5 months in on the process of design with our business partner and looking to chat with another contractor regarding loading the prior year balances for projects in progress at end of year, so your current year over/under billing calculates properly.     What level for the FYE did you need to load to ensure the current year activity was properly reflected on your work in progress and completed projects schedule to reconcile to your financial statements.     Thanks in advance, we want to do the level necessary, but don't want to overcomplicate things if it isn't needed.  This is my first post.  i hope this is appropriate to pose this question here. Thank you for any insightMary DavoltBerger Contractors, Inc. 

Would it be possible to use a Microsoft Teams for large document storage.  For example photos and drawings. The documentation is vague about the Teams integration capabilities.  I don’t want to upload the photo to Acumatica and affect the storage limits.  The thought would be to create a file for each project in Teams.  Then upload the photos/drawings to Teams. I would like to be able to add a link to the file in the appropriate project in Acumatica.  Understanding of course that moving or renaming the file would break the link.

Good day,The user entered a CO with a quantity of 1 and an amt.  However, the Task associated with the non-stock item showed only the amount.  When we ran the Project Billing the invoice only showed the amount without a quantity so the invoice was incorrect by the amount. I can’t see why the issue that caused the issue.  the CO was correctly entered.  See the Revenue Tab below.  The item is non-stock.Is this a setting issue?  Preference.  Billing Method?  We need to revise the invoice.Thank you. 

Does anyone know what is the difference between the  PMTran.Date and PMTran.TranDate? The PMTran.TranDate is not visible to user out of the box and is defaulted to the BusinessDate. User can enter and edit PMTran.Date though. So, the question is what the purpose of PMTran.TranDate is when it is not available to user?

Hello,I am trying to put a negative quantity in a subcontract line item, but it errors out.Anyone have a work around for this that doesn’t require a debit adjustments.  I am trying to keep all the details on one invoice. We create the invoice for subcontractors and tie them off to each pay applications.  If we create multiple invoices it creates confusion. I found I can put a negative dollar value which makes the $ side work, but i don’t think it will work on the total qty side. Thanks,Jeremy  

I am posing this as a question to see if there is anyone who is using Acumatica Compliance to meet DOT requirements.  Use case is a field service company, approximately 250 trucks and crews.  I do not have all of the specifics, and I am learning about the requirements at this point, some of the requirement areas are:Driver Certifications DOT Records for Fleet DOT Driver Maintenance MVR Drug Screen Phyicals  + may be othersSome of these items are documents with occurence date and/or expiration date.  I am also certain that there would need to be some level of reporting required. There is a DOT software in place today but the desire is to use Acumatica if it is feasible. The feedback I am seeking is as follows:Experience shares from SME’s knowledgealbe of DOT requirements Usage of Acumatica compliance for DOT requirements Gaps that have to be covered

Can anyone share how they get a zero dollar pro forma invoice on a project if it has an on demand billing period? And how you create your AIA invoice showing all retainage released on invoices? Thank you!! 

i.m currently on an older version of Acumatica, testing in the sandbox for version 2024R1. I am using the Construction module and crated an invoice for a project. The invoice appears in all of the modules correctly, however, the issue i am having is with the Project WIP Report and Project WIP Detail Report. The Project WIP Report headings Revenue Recognized and Billings in Excess of Costs is showing the correct amount but the Period Billings and Billings to Period are showing credit amounts.In the two test scenario billings created and posted for the two projects, there were no debit or credit memos to cause a credit balance. It appears the credit balance is equal to the tax amount on each billing. In reading through the notes this is a known problem after the 2023R1 release. The proposed solution to run Recalculate Project Balances doesn’t seem to be working.Any ideas as to whatelse i could try?

Hello,  Our project IDs have - between numbers and I want to display them on a report designer report without the dashes.  Example, 25-36-010 would display as 2536010 in the report.  Is there a way to do this with a formula in a report?  The current formula is : ='REQUEST FOR INFORMATION # '+[RequestForInformation.ProjectId]+'-'+[RequestForInformation.RFIID_Attributes]   I need to keep the first and last expression, but make it so the Project ID only displays numbers and not dashes.  Thank you!
