Project Task Description is blank on Project Budget profile

I am trying to input budget data for  new project. On the project budget profile screen the task description field is blank.  How can I get that to appear?

    The first tab is the project tasks that can be either cost or revenue or both.  double check your settings on that to see the type includes cost. Then you can select it on the budget

      Thanks.  The type is set to cost and revenue but is not showing up on the budget input screen.  The description does show up for other projects that have the same type.
