Is there anyway of changing the account type of a GL Account from the database. I understand its not possible from Acumatica’s Chart of Account screen so I think a script is the most possible options but I am not sure which tables store the account type.

I am using a third party custom manufacturing program from which I do invoicing. That application is using Avatax and getting the tax calculation for products that are taxable and including that in the invoices it generates. I am then using an import scenario to bring the invoices into my Acumatica instance via Sales Order. In most states the medical devices I make are tax Exempt so I have my products in Acumatica set to an EXEMPT tax category. In the few states that tax certain items they all do it at different rates.The challenge am having is bringing in the items and being able to update the Tax Amount on the Sales Order. The import scenario is able to bring in each line item into the sales order, and I am able to change the Tax Category on the Sales Order Detail  to TAXABLE (see below).When I go to the TAXES tab I can see thing

Hello,  In re to intercompany transactions, we have a request for any AP Bills created from the receivables module to skip the approval process in AP.  Does anyone know of a way to exclude the documents from the approval process?  In the interim I am using the specific vendor ID but it’s possible that vendor could have bills created in AP that need to go through approvals in the future.   Thank you!

I have what seems to be an interesting challenge; how to calculate commissions based on paid project based invoices. This differs from many other commission based systems based on accrued sales.  Commissions at this company are based on payments received on project issued or related invoices.I can see payments coming into table ARPayments based on a calendar date or fiscal period.  But when I try to connect those payments to the project that initiated the invoice and payment, that is where my challenge begins.  If I am not on the right path, please put forward some alternative suggestions.Some constraints:All payments are initiated by invoices either directly issued through AR (so the project is referenced in the details tab) or through a project generated invoice. Our clients are making use of the automation features in AP that scan and create an AP transaction from the AP invoice and then route the AP invoice for Approval.They want to automate the process all the way to final payment, which can be done now.  However there is a weakness at the moment as the file that gets created when exporting the payment file is not secure.  It is in a format that can easily be edited.We feel that it is important to complete this full automation by providing the necessary security on the file and a secure connection to the bank upload platform. Thanks James

This batch was created on journal transaction with the post period as 01-2023. However the last detail line seems to have posted in 02-2023 which seems to be the editting date. How did this happen as the transaction date on the details line is not edit enabled ? How did a line change its date when the whole voucher has a date already.

Hi Team,Below is the screen shot of my question. I clicked “Load Documents” to show all the open invoices for my transaction period, customer and location. 1) it shows 13,646.73 Applied to Documents after unselecting all invoices. Should it be $0.00 if I unselected all invoices? Why does it show $13K invoices selected? 2) It does not show all open invoices. It only shows 19 invoices when there are 59 open invoices. The next arrow is greyed out. How can I show all open invoices for my criteria?

I would like to understand how do I restrict certain vendor class so user is disallowed to select that restricted vendor class when creating a vendor master

A client was using the formula MonthName(@MonthStart,-1) in a column heading.  Obviously this use the current date and does not allow the specification of a starting period.  Using Report.FormatPeriod(@StartPeriod,-1) gets the period as 10-2021, 09-2021, etc.  Is there another formula that would return the description of the period as Oct 2021, Sep 2021 etc?

Hi Anyone know how to split the profit & loss financial report based on branch?Currently, our Profit and loss financial report is combine 2 branch into one.Based on existing combine Profit and loss financial report, Not sure if anyone one know how to create/split a Profit and Loss financial report to individual branch 

We are adding another branch that has a very different quote form that they want to stay with. Grouping& sorting conditions are not the same as for other branches.What would you recommend as the best way to get Acumatica use a branch-specific quote, SO or invoice? Please share your advice. Hi,i would like to check in below scenario, what is the best way to record the transaction. The original purchase cost for product A is $100, we purchased 50 pieces, did purchase receipt and posted vendor bill. and we sold 40 pieces by end of the month. On the last day of the month, vendor will review our sales and give us a rebate for Product A, lets say is $20 per piece for all 50 pieces. so our cost for product A become $80. The problem is we already posted the purchase receipt and the cost of $100 is used as COGS, our sales person commmission is calculated by profit, so is there a way to adjust the vendor bill and re-calculate the profit for sales transactions already posted. Thank you

Hello,  we are new to Acumatica, & are trying to figure out how to add a miscellaneous cash receipt to a bank deposit. For example:  We periodically will receive a rebate check from a vendor, that I would need to record as rebate income. I want to add this to an existing bank deposit that contains payments on account from customers.

We just noticed that when creating AP Bills, you can enter the Qty and the Unit Cost, and Acumatica will calculate the Ext Cost.But, I can go to the Ext Cost and modify it and will allow it too even the qty*unit cost does not match the Ext Cost. I can move forward and release it. If this the expected behavior or is there any configuration I should do to prevent it?   

Hello,I can find no documentation on the sales profitability reports calculations.Is there any documentation on what costs are included in the calculations?This is specifically being asked in a manufacturing environment.This is the specific request “I really need to understand is the sources of inputs to equal the cost field when then determining the customer margin value in the system. ” 

Hello Acumatica community! :)Prior to Acumatica, we used Timberscan with Sage300 and could report out of Timberscan with various parameters to get a summary of invoices with all relevant attachments as one file - a pdf.  I have a need to do this in Acumatica and cannot figure out how.  Do any of you have suggestions? Thanks for you time.Kay HoweJackson, OH
