Developing with Acumatica's Archiving Feature

For those who are unaware, there is a new archiving feature in 2023 R1.  This feature, currently limited to Sales Orders and Shipments, allows users to manually or as a scheduled process set documents as ‘archived’ in the system according to a configured time horizon.  The documents once archived are not deleted, but are labeled as archived.  The purpose of this new feature is to increase performance and not to decrease database size. “..Archived documents are not included in the results of database queries executed during regular activities, such as opening generic inquiries, lookup tables, or tabs that load a list of records.  As a result data retrieval performance improves.”  -- Acumatica ERP AdministrationAs an ISV developer, my team investigated this new feature to determine if our code would be affected.  Interestingly, we found that the logic that governs this feature is at a lower abstraction level than our code.  We discovered that once archived, our PXSelect statements no lon

If I edit a customization project, but don't re-publish, can I get the published project version?

Hi Community,If I have edited a customization project, but I did not re-publish it back to the server, is there a way to export/ revert back to the original customization project published in a tenant? I made changes I wish to undo that are not in the server because I did not publish it after making changes. When I re-open the current existing project, the changes I don’t want are in the project.  Thanks,RJ

Cannot insert null value error in custom screen

I have created a custom screen which contains two grids in separate tabs. one grid is a read only grid. while other grid allows to CRUD operations. Can you create a processing form to run on a PXHidden DAC

HI All, I have a processing form built on the graph below, and so far, I can’t for the life of me get the Processing buttons to show.  I’m wondering if this is due to the processing form running on a DAC with the PX Hidden attribute - have never tried this before, or am I missing something else?  There is a View Delegate involved which takes data from a MASCCommissionDetail DAC which is persisted to the Database, and summarizes the data into a List of MASCProcessDetail.  The form is shown below.  This works exactly as required (except that there is no Process/Process All buttons visible)The MASCProcessDetail DAC is marked with the PXHidden attribute:  Essentially what I’m trying to do, isSummarise all the data in MASCCommissionDetail into MASCProcessDetail.  There is a many to one relationship between MASCCommissionDetail (many) and MASCProcess Detail (one), and when the processing form runs create one record  in APInvoice for each MASCProcessDetail record.  (I know how to do this part

Issue with PXFormula field within PXProjection

Ive created a PXProjection DAC and Im just trying to multiple a field by a constant (for now). The PXFormula field of DfltCompQtyCalc keeps returning null no matter what I try? It works when I remove the Multiply<> operator. Also if I just define the PXFormula<index1>.. I get a list of 2’s so the constant is fine also? Autonumbering seems to stop import scenario

I have created a customization that adds a tab to the Stock Item screen. The tab contains a grid with a field with autonumber  attribute. Manually everything work find I can add multiple lines to the grid, but imports only add one line and then stop. The grid has a custom dac and view. Updating custom header when all the rows get changed by an action

I have two custom fields Absolute Variance Quantity for rows and Total Absolute Variance Quantity in the header. Mass Action button gives IDacDescriptorProvider error

I’m trying to add a button to the Sales Orders list - S301000PL. I’ve defined the action in a Graph Extension and see it available as a ‘Graph Action’ on the Customization Project screen (SCREENS → SO301000 > Actions). Setting the SOLine notes via code is not working

Is it possible to use a mailto: link in a notification message

When referencing an email address in a notification message, is it possible to use a mailto: link in the message? If I use mailto: in a link in the richtext visual mode, it prepends an http:// in front of it when saved.  If I edit as html, it removes the mailto: when saved.

Import Scenarios: Can't Import Attribute Custom

 I have 2 Field Attribute Custom: Name and Short Description (using customization Project).On the Import Scenarios page, I added the mapping to 2 Fields Name and Short DescriptionAt Data providers I also added 2 fieldsHowever, I use Import by Scenario to import my items into stock items.Then the Import items successfully but the two Field Attribute Custom are Name and Short Description it is null. I don't know if I was wrong or where the config was missing? But my Attribute Custom Fields cannot set Value?

Side Panel PDF parameter passing

I want to build a side panel for Screen FS300100.In the side panel I want to display an iframe that contains a URL as a source that is stored in the displayed data row.For example, like d.velop does in AP301000 with the side panel “DMS”.I don’t know how d.velop handles parameter passing to the DataView and in the DataView to the iframe.

Reading GI Values from Graph Code 2024r1

Im seriously struggling with trying what i think is quite simple. Add vendor remit to AP301000

Is there a simple way I can display the default vendor remit-to address to show on the bills and payments screen?  I’ve checked and the RemittanceAddress view does not appear in the Data View dropdown under Add Data Fields tab in screen editor.

Default Sales Order Shipment Quantity to 0

Hello Community, I was looking for a way to default the shipment quantity to 0 when creating the “Create Shipment” button on Sales Order or from the Process Orders screen. I thought I could just extend the “CreateShipment” method to accomplish this but not having much luck. See below for the code I have. How to enable the user defined fields even when the whole document is completed?

Hello,         I like Acumatica’s user defined fields feature, I can add fields without writing code.But these fileds are disabled when the shipment is completed, while I’d like to keep it being enabled.    Is there a way to do it?         I’ve found a similar question above, but as I checked, I can not find the “UDF” in automation steps. So I can not enable it.      Is there any other way to do it?

Set a Default Value for a Selector?

For one of our projects, we set a single value to be selected from a box. However the box is still defaulting to one of the old value that we removed. I’m trying to have it default to the constant defined below, but everything I’ve tried either hasn’t worked or crashed the customization. How to add dynamic column in Grid in the modern UI(Version- 25.092.0026)

How to override cash discount calculation

Turn a Selector into a Combo Box

I’m trying to turn OrderType from a selector of every order type to just certain order types for our customer portal. I’ve been trying to change it to ComboBox since those options can be changed, but every time I save the Screen Editor, it goes back to Selector. What would be the best way to go about this?OrderType

Customize an Excel export?

We would like to create a customization that takes the output of a given screen (let’s assume sales quote or estimate) and have it export a customized excel spreadsheet with that information.In our use case, we need to have several tabs in the exported file pre-defined (sort of like a template) and on one of the tabs the data from the screen being exported needs to be formatted a particular way (sor of like a stylesheet).I had thought about using a report as an intermediate step (where you have a little bit more control over the excel export) but I’m unaware of a way to have that result in multiple tabs. (incidentally, is there a way to “style” the exported cells from a report?)Thanks
