Hello,     In most cases, we apply payments to invoices.       Just some times, we would like to mark the payment for Sales order before shipment.       We want to use the “load orders” function under “Orders to Apply” tab to load orders of this customer all in once.         However, if this customer has had 1 “Cancelled” Sales order, this function will pop up errors. I know at least 2 ways to work around:1，just delete that cancelled Sales order2,  select the selection date frame to skip that cancelled SO. But both take extra and unnecessary efforts.        I truely and fully understand “canelled”, “voided” Sales order can not be applied to payment.Can the system directly ignore/skip these documents when people do the “lo

Hi folks,Has anyone worked out how to create links in attributes ?One example business use - customer using Projects has added an attribute to record the portal URL and username. This is because their customers often require them to provide updates via that portal.As ever I’m trying to use inbuilt Acumatica functionality without customisation as that is what my customers more readily access. I’ve added “Text” control attributes to hold the data but can’t make them into clickable links (probably just me not knowing how).If this isn’t possible, I’ll change the question into a wishlist idea, in which case having an attribute control type of “link” would need the following inputs (I suggest):-Link URI (maybe) Link URI type (web or local filesystem) * Choice of URI Launch Type of “New Window”, “New Tab”, “Frame” or “External” - if “Frame” the link could open the portal in a frame within the current Acumatica window or loa

Why is it that some sites work as embedded pages in Acumatica (such as bing.com), while other sites do not work (such as yahoo.com)?

This issue brothers me for a long time.I have two environments. 1 for development, 1 for production. I did the same steps as below:1, Create a new customer named "TESTID"2, Delete the "TESTID" after creation immediately. At this time, it would be marked deleteddatabaserecord =1 in BAccount table.Now, here comes huge different. If I recreated the "TESTID" in my development environment, the system allows and just update the deleteddatabaserecord to 0 and other fields updated according to new input. However, the production environment won't allow to created the customer "TESTID", says "Can not insert duplicated line into object "dbo.BAccount" with unique index. The duplicated key is (2,TESTID)"This issue also happens to other entities, such as Stock Item. So is there a switch or specific setting?I would be really appreciated if somebody could give me the right direction.

A client is preparing to upgrade to 2020 R2 (Construction and Manufacturing) using a sandbox to evaluate and test enhancements of interest before upgrading.  I appreciate all the postings from Acumatica Support and others describing upgrade considerations and known issues.  This post is directed more specifically to users:  what unanticipated problems have you encountered using Acumatica ERP following the upgrade?

We have a customer that wants to begin using the Acumatica Customer Portal.  This will require some specific customizations to Acumatica and the Portal.  Before making the investment they are asking to speak to another client that uses the Customer Portal for customer self service.  Are there any customers that would speak to our client?  We do not need to be a part of this discussion.  Please let me know.  I can’t get Acumatica to provide a name since this is not a reference check; they already own the Portal.  

Since we have upgraded to 2020R1, we have noticed a job running daily called - Process Machine Learning Event.  Does anyone know what this does?  it has a couple of thousands events called ui/menu/node-selected that are processed.I am wondering if i can stop the job.

As I know, currently the user has to open a dashboard in order to refresh it. But I want it to refresh itself on an unattended screen.Thanks

We work in French often and some French words have accented letters. For French words with accents, we cannot use any search fields without putting the accent on the letter in our search, or else it won't work. For example, if we only type the letter "e" with no accents the search field only picks up "e's" with no accents but it would be beneficial for the search function to pick up all "e's", accent or no accent.

I would like to confirm that the Expense Receipt Recognition is available via the Mobile app only.  Is this correct?Do you know if there are plans to add this via the URL?Thanks.

Is there a way to change the Document Category for the partial lien waivers to say “progress” instead of “partial”?

I want to have only certain users be able to access some specific Expense Accounts that are tied to non-stock items.  We are using non-stock items but not inventory.    I have enabled Row-level security and created my restriction group and have also created the restriction group by GL Account and that is working and only the users that have access can see those GL accounts.  When I go to the non-stock item, and click Actions | View Restrictions Group, I receive an error "The requested resources is not available.  The required configuration data is not entered on the IN Setup form."  If I enabled Inventory, I now see the option.  Does inventory  have to enabled to use the Restriction Group feature for non-stock items?  If so, what is the minimal setup of inventory that has to be done and is that going to affect anything else in Acumatica if I’m not using inventory?

I have 2 tenants in our Acumatica install (single server). Test and Live. On our Test tenant I was able to get a System Email account added, setup and working perfect. However on our Live tenant, after mirroring the settings exactly like the account on the Test tenant, after clicking the [TEST] button, it just spins, and the Elapsed Time just keeps counting.I've triple checked the system email account settings, everything matches.Some notes:The spinner "Press to abort", does nothing.System Management -> System Monitor does show the running process. However the ABORT button does nothing. Hi, just created some PO user defined fields using attributes.  I would like to edit them after the PO has been approved.  As soon as I take PO off of hold, the fields are no longer editable. Any advise.  Hoping to avoid customizations.

Hi ,Based on the title as above, does anyone here do any auto populate column to their grid ?I wanted to auto populate based on my selection, and the column is not from the DAC view grid. Because if it’s based on current DAC view, I can auto populate it by hide/unhide the column.

Is it possible to send an unprompted email, or reply to an email, using templates as "canned responses" in acumatica?The only way we have found to insert a notification template is while responding to a lead submission. Everywhere else, it will only allow the insertion of "kb articles" into new emails. Is there a way to make templates available as a source when creating or replying to an email? The option only seems to work if the email activity screen is a popup. 

How do I see the progress on my previous ideas submitted on the old forum?

As many of you know, I’m one of the newest members of the Acumatica Developer community, although far from new to development for ERP systems.  One of my ways of learning is to come at the problem backwards.  For instance, the training guides for developers is very good at walking you through a perfect case scenario to teach, but there is a wealth of information that cannot be packed into the training guides without turning it into a new Library of Congress.  By looking at code samples, I learn new methods and techniques to accomplish my goals.  Sometimes, I even have to dig into the finished HTML presented to the browser… like today. I have been picking my way through properties of controls in the Screen Editor for quite some time, simply looking at what one screen sets to get similar behavior on my screen.  This has been useful, but what about all those other controls?  I find myself looking through properties to see what the help line tells me about each one, but I have n

Has anyone figured out a good way to avoid email loops in Acumatica?  This is specifically related to auto creation of Acumatica Cases via email.  The issue comes up when someone emails two system, in this case two support email address for two different companies, and both system have an auto reply. The result is the each auto reply creates a new case and a new auto reply and so on. 

I can assume this site is disconnected from the main website. It would be a great idea to have each of the blog posts create an attached post here for comments and discussion. It would also drive people towards the community and gain content.
