A client implementing Acumatica Construction Edition uses Procore and will implement the Acumatica/Procore integration. They’re also implementing Acumatica CRM.  They sometimes encounter opportunities that originate from their clients’ Procore and wonder if there’s a way to connect the two.  The details for such a connection have not yet been defined, I’m not yet able to articulate the integration requirements.  But wondering if others have encountered this scenario.

A client implementing Acumatica Construction Edition is awarded contracts involving multiple similar projects which they manage collectively as a program.  For example, a national retailer may award them a contract to perform the same work at multiple stores (sites) across the country.  This is conceptually similar to projects and subprojects.  Have others encountered similar use cases?  How have you implemented them?Implementing the program as an Acumatica construction project isn’t ideal because each site has its own project address, project manager, subcontractors, schedule, etc.  On the other hand, Acumatica appears to not have a way out-of-the-box to group projects into a program.

I am not able to disable/Revoke this permission. Found the setting name in two nodes (projects and project preferences, but those settings did not block the ability to check the box and save the project)

Will there be a module or tab somewhere to enter meeting minutes on Owner/Sub/Pre-Construction meetings?  Right now having to type the minutes outside of the system.It would be nice to have the module in typeable format and not having to use attributes.  Similar to the RFI setup.

Going to AP Preferences and unchecking “Hold Documents on Entry” and or checking “Automatically Release Retainage Bills” does not seem to do anything.Can anyone explain what toggling these two button will do?We would like, upon release of the retainage bill the bill is created with an Open status.  Our retainage bills are going to a Hold status, which creates extra work.See screen shot below from the Acumatica help menu.Financial Management/Accounts Payable/Processing Bills with RetainageBrian

We have several clients and 2 current prospects that would like the ability to have inventory item information (descriptions and prices/costs) exposed to external estimating systems so these items stay “in sync.”

 We have really changed the way the Change Order process for a specialty contractor works. If anyone would like to work together and collaborate on reports and small improvements to the screens I would like to start a user group. My goal is too leave all the Acumatica functionality in place so upgrades are not impacted. A primary change in the process flow is we have created a PM status vs the Acumatica “accounting status”. In our world it takes a long time for CO to be officially approved and settled. I have a long way to go with the summaries but it seems to be working well.Michael Michael Wansor JCM Associates. Do you have any construction reports that you’ve created or modified that you’d like us to add to the product and eliminate your worries about compatibility after each release? 

When working on a project we could have 50 employees for which our foreman will enter time via Crew Time Reporting. However, we also could have certain expenses for the 50 employees like a Meal Allowance if they all do overtime in a day or if working in an area that requires for them to pay parking, we will reimburse their parking. Is there a way to do Batch Expense Claims for all Field Staff on a Project rather than needing to go in and doing it one by one, if the batch is homogenous.

How to automatically update project current margin estimate that equals total revenue budget minus total cost budget divided by total revenue budget? Sounds like we have to spread revenue across all tasks which does not reflect reality, so just curious if someone found another way.

This would essentially be U/O billings from right within the projects screen which would be so convenient.

We are trying to create an employee validation GI, but can’t figure out where the employee delegate information is stored. Is there something like a data dictionary? Thanks

Acumatica supports Fixed Assets Depreciation by “units-of-Production” on top of the usual Straight-Line and Declining-Balance.This ‘units-of-production’ depreciation is useful, especially for the Construction Industry where the Assets are depreciated by the usage-of-the-Assets during construction. While this is documented as available, there is no instruction of how to set this up. We would appreciate if someone who has knowledge of this, please do help to show how to set up this ‘units-of-production’ depreciation. Thank you in advanceRegardsDick Koh 

Do you need the ability to send a project summary report to your project managers on a consistent basis, that shows the details for each of their projects similar to the Project Summary inquiry (PMGI0025)? If yes, How often would you send the report if it could be scheduled and sent automatically?  What other information do you need besides what’s already available on the Project Summary inquiry? 

Trying to figure out the most effective design for collaborating with our subcontractors on schedule / task management. Let’s use lighting fixtures as the example. Lets say our project schedule says our sub should be completing 25 fixtures a day for the next 5 days. We want the sub to update their status on a daily basis and tell us how many they actually completed. Let’s say Monday they completed 22 but ran into problems. Then Tuesday they completed 26, Wednesday 26, Thursday 26, and Friday 25. Would RFI be the right functionality in Project Management to get this information from the subcontractor?I’m thinking we create an RFI and assign it to the sub with scheduled tasks. We email the RFI to the sub and they would then go into Acumatica to update their actual completions against the RFI. Am I thinking about this the right way or is there a more elegant solution?
