In many different areas of Acumatica one can add a note to a record using the Record Note link on the left side of each record.   Has any come up with a way to print out or export those notes with a link, even if just a reference number, to the record it is related to?   All of the inquiries and forms have export features but the exports do not export the record notes vs. just the visible columns. Thanks

Cannot release payment, the system prompts the error message, how to resolve this error? 

Anyone using these services in Construction Edition and able to share your experience?   

We are using 2020R2 and I am trying to edit many of the construction reports to have the project manager as a parameter.  Our previous version 2019R1 had the project table right in the schema, so it was easy.  In this version for example, the Project WIP Reports only has the tables Branch, PMReportProject, and PMWIPTotalBudget.  When I look for the tables in the DAC, they don’t exist.  I assume that they are hard coded somehow, as they are not a view in SQL and I can’t find these 2 of the tables anywhere in acuamtica or the SQL server.  Does anyone know the relations of these tables with regards to the project table so I can add ownerID.Thanks

The employees available to select as subcontract owners are only the logged-on employee plus the employees who are members of the workgroups to which the logged-on employee belongs.  Does anyone know why the list is filtered this way, instead of listing all employees like other owner lists?  

Case:  A Project is setup with the Global Billing and Allocation Settings Billing Period of ‘Month’ to make mass billings of recurring invoices, where there is a task set up with recurring billing, easy by using the ‘Run Project Billing (PM503000)’ process screen. However Project has other tasks that have Billing Options of ‘On Task Completion’.Problem:  In a Project with tasks with multiple Billing Options and the Global Billing Period is Month, there is no way to run project billing just for those Project Tasks with the Billing Option of ‘On Task Completion’. The default method when you click ‘Run Project Billing’ runs the monthly task bill according to the Global Bill Period setting and resets the next billing date.  Current Workaround: Bill ‘On Task Completion’ tasks using the Invoices and Memos Screen (AR301PL)… this is time consuming and sometimes problematic if the Project has overridden the Bill to and Bill address - The invoice produced by AR301PL is in context of the Customer

Is it possible to get the balance remaining to bill for a project contract on the Project Revenue Budget or Pro Forma Invoices screens as a dollar format? This is the Revised Budget Amount less the Actual Amount but it only appears in percentage format. We can compute on a GI or Report, but we’d like to see the dollar amount itself as a field.

Via the mobile app we can attach all the photos we want onsite to the opportunity.I am looking for suggestions (maybe I have something turned off) on how to upload photos/files via the app in the project screen the same way. Any ideas?

How are users scheduling subcontractors? How are the subcontractors communicating job status and completion? Are they logging into a self-service portal? We have a need to schedule/dispatch subcontractors, the subcontractors receiving work from us and communicating job status and completion. How is this done in Acumatica? I assume it’s possible to set up subs as staff members and assign them appointments via service orders? For projects, how is this done? RFIs? 

When entering into the subcontract where do I enter the verbiage detail that would go onto the Subcontract (LF) report as the Exhibit A page?

A client implementing Acumatica Construction Edition uses Procore and will implement the Acumatica/Procore integration. They’re also implementing Acumatica CRM.  They sometimes encounter opportunities that originate from their clients’ Procore and wonder if there’s a way to connect the two.  The details for such a connection have not yet been defined, I’m not yet able to articulate the integration requirements.  But wondering if others have encountered this scenario.

A client implementing Acumatica Construction Edition is awarded contracts involving multiple similar projects which they manage collectively as a program.  For example, a national retailer may award them a contract to perform the same work at multiple stores (sites) across the country.  This is conceptually similar to projects and subprojects.  Have others encountered similar use cases?  How have you implemented them?Implementing the program as an Acumatica construction project isn’t ideal because each site has its own project address, project manager, subcontractors, schedule, etc.  On the other hand, Acumatica appears to not have a way out-of-the-box to group projects into a program.

I am not able to disable/Revoke this permission. Found the setting name in two nodes (projects and project preferences, but those settings did not block the ability to check the box and save the project)

Will there be a module or tab somewhere to enter meeting minutes on Owner/Sub/Pre-Construction meetings?  Right now having to type the minutes outside of the system.It would be nice to have the module in typeable format and not having to use attributes.  Similar to the RFI setup.

Going to AP Preferences and unchecking “Hold Documents on Entry” and or checking “Automatically Release Retainage Bills” does not seem to do anything.Can anyone explain what toggling these two button will do?We would like, upon release of the retainage bill the bill is created with an Open status.  Our retainage bills are going to a Hold status, which creates extra work.See screen shot below from the Acumatica help menu.Financial Management/Accounts Payable/Processing Bills with RetainageBrian

We have several clients and 2 current prospects that would like the ability to have inventory item information (descriptions and prices/costs) exposed to external estimating systems so these items stay “in sync.”

 We have really changed the way the Change Order process for a specialty contractor works. If anyone would like to work together and collaborate on reports and small improvements to the screens I would like to start a user group. My goal is too leave all the Acumatica functionality in place so upgrades are not impacted. A primary change in the process flow is we have created a PM status vs the Acumatica “accounting status”. In our world it takes a long time for CO to be officially approved and settled. I have a long way to go with the summaries but it seems to be working well.Michael Michael Wansor JCM Associates.
