Customization: Checking the Certification Status of Customization Projects

As per the 22R1 developer release notes customization projects should under go certification process. So, I have a few queries on 22R1 Upgrade and hoping anyone or Acumatica team can help me on the below queries. What is the process of submitting the code for certification? Usually, there will be a lot of enhancements/CRs/Issues will be there for the same customer, Do we need to submit the code for certification each time we do a code change? Is this mandatory or we can still go ahead for upgrade and get the certification later? Is there any tool to validate the customization from our local environment? Thanks in advance!

Validate BOM on stock item

I need to validate that the Default BOM ID was captured for stock items with a specified prefix. I added an event to RowUpdating, when I try to get the extension from InventoryItemExt there was an error that this class is obsolete. Now I am not sure how to get the AMBOMID value from the InventoryItem DAC.

Is there a way to limit the Selector for Price Manager on the Stock Items screen by Role?

I have been asked if there is a way to limit who shows up in the price manager Selector on the Stock Items screen under the Price/Cost tab as in the screenshot below.I have created a generic inquiry which shows who we want to see. It has the following DACS:Users → UsersInRoles - Inner join on usernameUsers → Contacts - Inner join on pkID = userIDCondition = UsersInRoles.RoleName Equals PurchasingThis seems to give the restricted set of users/contacts we want.How do I go about changing the Selector for this field to use this as a the query instead of showing the full list of employees if shows now? FieldVerifying or FieldUpdating?

In the Sales Order screen, I want to take an Inventory ID value that the user has entered, say, “APPLE”. I want to look for that value in another table and possibly replace the value of APPLE with some other value.I have tried changing e.NewValue in a FieldVerifying event.A very simple version of my code is here and AMCOTTON is an existing inventory item. Change to a value in a table is not saving using a custom graph

When a user saves a Purchase Order, the LastPrice in the POVendorInventory table is updated. If there are multiple lines in the PO for the same item, they may have different Unit Costs for the same inventory item. When the table is updated, the last record in the grid is what ends up in the field.If there are multiple lines with the same inventory ID, my customer wants to update the LastPrice field with the LOWEST unit cost, not the last one to be processed.To complicate this, they want to change the LastPrice field to the lowest Unit Cost if it is overridden in the Purchase Receipts screen. Based on my testing, if you edit the Unit Cost on the Purchase Receipts screen, I don’t see that it updates the POVendorInventory table. They want it to update the table if the Unit Cost is overridden. Honestly, it seems like that should be standard business logic. On the Purchase Receipts screen, you are entering the ACTUAL cost of the item.Since the customer wants to update the LastPrice fi

How to save the name of the person that printed a specific report inside a user field?

Hello!On some of our projects we have custom made Reports where it is essential to know who printed it, in case one of them gets lost within the warehouse. We added the Report via Workflow Automation “Run Report” Action with the Customization Project Editor and would now like to attach a “Field Update” to it, that saves the Display Name of the Person clicking on the action into a userfield called “SOOrder.DocketPrinted”.Has anyone an idea or solution to this?Greetings

How we can Auto-Refresh a document header through RowUpdated event

As you may have come across, in most of Aumatica screens when we change InventoryID, many other fields for the row get reset forcing user to re-enter the values that results in wasting time and frustration. We are experiencing this on our heavily used AP Bills and Purchase Order. As pilot I tried to fix POLine to restore the values entered by user when InventoryID is changed through RowUpdated event handler. The code works and restores the value of intended fields (see partial code below) but the problem is the total fields of the header are not refreshed. Localization for multiple tenants

Hi There,I am working on a project which need to cater for multiple tenant and dual-language (English and Malay) on Acumatica Framework 2021 R1.The setup at System Locales is done for both languages. My issue is that I am able to localize/translate the first tenant but unable to do so for the other tenants. I used the Translation Dictionaries to download the file to excel format for the translation exercise. For instance, I manage to download the “Company Profile” from the first tenant and uploaded the file after I have translated all the labels. But for the second and the rest of the tenants, I am unable to retrieve the “Company Profile” through Translation Dictionaries. I am getting the following message “No Records Found” but the “Company Profile” screen is available in the second tenant.Hope, I can get some help from the experts here. Thank You

Sync Customer, Location and Custom Field in Invoices Screen

We have a requirement where we need to make sure if a certain user is logged into the system, in the Invoices screen, we need the Customer, Location to be filled automatically and a custom field called Sales Channel (dropdown field) must be filled as LOCAL or FOREIGN according to the logged in user. How to change Record Note labels?

HiIs it possible to easily change the label names for the “Note:” and “Pop-Up Note:” fields?The only two options I can think of are less than ideal: 1) Translation Dictionaries (SM200540) will work but can’t be scoped to just impacting the Record Note pop-up. 2) Replacing CSS site theme and changing label elements works but will create technical debt for future site upgrades.Have considered injecting some JS but can’t figure out how to apply this to the dynamic Record Note pop-up.Thanks

How can I override the 'Location ID' link to open CR Locations instead of AR Locations?

It would make sense to me that when opening a Location from the ‘Locations’ tab of a Business Account, that CR Locations would open by default. However, it does not, and AR Locations opens instead.I must admit, I cannot even find where the code is that runs when this is clicked. I believe it executes an Action called ‘ViewLocation’, but I can’t find it and I don’t know how to override it.

When to commit pageSource changes when nothing else on the screen has changed

The aspx xml file for an Acumatica screen always contains `<Page path="[path]" pageSource="[page_source]”>`. It appears that whenever I upgrade to a new release of Acumatica, the pageSource content of any screens I have customized changes. This happens even when nothing else on the screen has been changed in my customization. Why does the pageSource change when no other changes have been made? What effect does it have? Moreover, how can I tell if the change made to the pageSource is the change I want to make? The only information I have been able to find about the pageSource is that it is “the binary content for the page”. However, that doesn’t explain to me why it changes with each upgrade and if it matters what version of the pageSource I am using. How can I tell if these pageSource changes are ones I should commit to my source code? Any explanation would be appreciated.

Push notification - Inserted array is blank

Hoping someone can help guide me in the right direction. I have a basic GI with two tables (employee left joined with contact table). The GI has just a few fields in the result grid.I setup a push notification to push to a webhook. I’m seeing odd behavior, where the inserted array below is blank and only the deleted shows up. Is it possible to have different button to be the default available on the same screen for different roles?

We are starting to look into User Roles and security and I have been looking but didn’t find anything that addresses this. Is it possible via a customization to have a different button be the main button on the same screen based on the user’s role. For example on the Shipments screen below: For the roles Customer Service and Warehouse:Customer Service: ideally, the Print Shipment Confirmation would be highlighted in Green and be the main option, while Confirm Shipment would be hidden under the 3 dots.Warehouse: Confirm Shipment highlighted in green as it is now, Print Shipment Confirmation hidden under the 3 dots

Get list of users in AD mapped roles

We’re using AD roles mapped to Acumatica roles for quite a few of our users.Trying to create a selector that gives us a list of users that have certain Acumatica roles, and not able to get the “active” roles. Acumatica does not store the mappings in UsersInRole or anywhere else that we can find.There are two possible paths to this we’ve found:Use PXSelectAllowedRoles from PX.SM Not sure how this DAC works or how to use it, but it appears to be the DAC that provides the mapped roles on the users screen. It is used in Access.cs Use ActiveDirectoryProvider.GetUsersByGroupIDs(usergroups) or some other method of the ActiveDirectoryProvider. We haven’t completely explored this either.Does anyone have experience with trying to do this?

Customization - Who do you use?

Are there companies or freelancers that Acumatica users call on to create customizations, do you depend on your partner, do you have someone in-house? I’m curious if partners are all at the same level and what the expectation is for customizations. I have a request that I would consider very simple for someone knowledgeable. I have sent the request to our partner, waiting for response, but depending on their workload/knowledge/skills, it may not be something they are interested in helping me with or it may be a long way out on their timeline. All I want is to automatically print labels for PO receipts. I thought this would be easy as other software packages we have used have had this. We do not have the WMS and the existing manual Inventory Item Labels are cumbersome to process and would waste a ton of labels since it prints a whole page.

Hello, I am working with the Customer Locations AR303020 screen.Note: I added a “pencil” button to the right of the Location field on the Sales Orders screen to launch the Customer Locations AR303020 screen as a popup..My Experience level:Less than one year.
