Community Introductions

Our company just signed on as a service partner on Friday.  In fact, we are so new that our business account is not set up yet.  So, I need to ask this question in this forum until we can access the partner area.We are going to our make first hires for the development and IT operations team.  They will get certified in Acumatica and learn xRP.  We are going to look for someone with .NET experience.  But beyond that, does anyone have any recommendations for other good qualifications?  What core skills should a good Acumatica developer or IT support manager have?Thanks for the help.

Hello Everyone! My name is Bob Sieger and I am kind of new to Acumatica. I say kind of because we nearly implemented it with the previous company I was with and then the Covid lock-downs hit and destroyed our business. Fast forward three years and I have taken a new role with an automotive aftermarket specialty parts manufacturer (specializing in the RV, Limo, Sprinter Van world) that is rolling out Acumatica as I write this! I’ve done several ERP implementations over the course of my career, from SAP, Oracle, Epicor to Dynamics AX and a couple of others. So I am very excited to get Acumatica up and running here! I hail from the southwest suburbs of Chicago, spending my week in Elkhart and going back home for the week-end. It’s a little exhausting (at times) but I make it work. Looking forward to participating in the community as well as networking with you all!

Hello Community, My name is Reza. I love the sun and heat but not sure why I am living in Vancouver which is cold and rainy 😂. Those who have not been here should know if we are lucky, we will have a week or two of constant clear sky and feel the heat in July. I have my master's in Accounting and am a CPA who has worked in accounting/finance in different positions from clerical to CFO roles over 20 years and surprisingly simultaneously as a developer too. Hi!My name is Iqra Harrison and I work at SWK Technologies.  I started as an end user where I implemented Acumatica and I was very heavily involved in the process.  I was able to get exposure to the construction module, inventory, finance and payroll.  I joined SWK in June 2021 and I’ve loved it ever since.  I’ve learned so much about Acumatica over the last few years (especially the Construction/Project Accounting module!)I am based out of Orlando, Florida.  I recently moved here back in August 2022 from Northern Virginia.  I’ve been married for 8 years and have an amazing 5 year old daughter!  I enjoy going to Disney and Universal (the annual passes have definitely come in handy!).  I also recently just got a puppy, her name is Bella and she’s a Maltese/Shih Tzu mix! Really excited to be a part of the Acumatica Community and look forward to working with you all in the future!
