Hi,One of our customers practices the following scenario. They buy an insurance policy prior to the Receipt of goods and create a bill to make the liability for the insurance company. But does not pay that amount until the goods are received. When the goods are received this amount needs to be allocated to the inventory appropriately. In Acumatica we couldn’t find a way to create a landed cost/bill prior to the purchase Receipt and attach the Bill to landed cost lately. Since the customer is not paying the amount, we cannot assist them to use the prepayment request method, pay the amount and create a prepayment and apply the landed cost once the goods are received. Is there a way to handle this kind of scenario? Please assist me on this regard.Amanda

Dear all,I am using Acumatica 24R2 and encountering an issue when creating an SO Invoice from a Shipment, as described below:I have a shipment with 2 lines (2 items) and would like to generate 2 SO Invoices from this shipment—one invoice containing 1 lines and the other containing 1 remain lines. However, whencreate the invoice, the system displays an error message: "Sales Order/Shipment cannot be invoiced partially."Could you please assist me in resolving this issue?Thank you very much for your help!
Hi everyone,I'm looking for guidance on integrating Acumatica with freight providers (e.g., EasyPost, StarShip) and configuring freight costs and sales prices. Specifically, I need help with:1. Setting up the integration with a freight provider for real-time shipping rates.2. Automatically pulling freight costs into sales orders.3. Configuring sales prices for freight charges based on weight, zone, or other criteria.4. Best practices for handling manual freight entries when needed. If anyone has experience with this setup or knows of any training materials covering these topics, I'd appreciate your help! Thanks in advance.
I have a customer evaluating DRP, they use an outsourced manufacturer and own all of their inventory, The Manufacturer only provides the labor for the assembly to create the KITS. The KITS are made to order using stock items. We were hoping that DRP would provide the demand for the KIT assembly based on Sales demand, not seeing that it does that. Also based on the functionality the planning only works with either a value for safety stock or a value for reorder point. Neither of these are actually based on SO demand. It would work if they wanted to have these completed KITS on hand but they do not wish to have any on hand, all KITS are made to order based on SO demand. Has anyone had a similar use case?
v2023r1--sharing the version because I’m thinking this may be a bug fixed in a later release.I’ve had a couple of invoices lately brought to my attention where the Bill-To Contact and Address on the sales order (and ultimately the invoice) has a different customer’s details than what is on the customer record. The “Override” checkboxes are not checked. My best guess is that an order is started for Customer A, and part way in the order taker realizes that they selected the wrong customer and updated it to Customer B. The Ship To Contact details are updated, but the Bill To is not. Unfortunately I haven’t been able to reliably duplicate it (I was able to duplicate it once in our Sandbox, but then following the same steps again it updated the Bill To contacts).I’m curious if others have run into this or if anyone knows if it may be something addressed in future versions.
I have the setting in Sales Order Preferences called ‘Add Zero Lines for Items Not in Stock’ checked, as well as ‘Create Zero Shipments’:When I create a Sales Order with ‘Back Order Allowed’ checked, and each line also has ‘Back Order Allowed’ as the Shipping Rule, I can get a 0 line on the shipment:However, if the line has ‘Mark for PO’ checked and/or has a linked PO, it is not offered for the shipment:The same occurs if it has ‘Mark for Production’ checked. It doesn’t make sense to me that this option would not work when products are coming from other places than stock. Am I misunderstanding how this option is supposed to work? Has anyone else seen this behavior?Thank you for reading.
Hello Everyone I don’t know if it’s possible but can we create an integration scenario to import an invoice (SO303000) to add a line (a stock item) and not update the total of the invoice Thank you :)
Can anyone tell me why inventory items are being omitted from the GI when I group by Inventory Id and Financial Period?
Is there a way to detect a current open blanket order for the customer for the line item being keyed? Example, there is blanket sales order for ABC Company for Item#AS625 Qty 100. Customer calls to order 25 but does not reference the blanket order. We enter a new sales order and key item#AS625 for a qty 25, is there a way for Acumatica to alert the processor that there is an existing blanket order.
During implementation and testing, we discovered that the new Manage Sales Allocations screen is not compatible / not properly functional when Sales Order Approvals are required. With Sales Orders approvals are required, only lines from On Hold sales orders show up in Manage Sales Allocations, despite no order type filters being used on Manage Sales Allocations. This is not acceptable, as unallocated lines from Open status sales orders are not showing and will be bypassed by the Manage Sales Allocations processing. This was reported on an Acumatica support case - and I was told this functionality is “by design. I understand technically why it is not working; as when using Require Approvals, orders must be put on hold in order to make any changes.I feel that inventory allocations should be allowed to be modified on Open Orders, even if approvals are required. Does anyone else have opinions that allocating to approved open orders should be expected? Thank you.
Hello Experst,I have developed a customized report which display all the Items Costs, On Hand Qty, 3 months usage, 6 months usage based on different warehouse and added a condition to display only certain product workgroup item.Issue:I want to display the last year (2024) total sales based on above condition.Points:As same as for 3 months usage and 6 months usage we have created a viewAnd same view i have tried for previous year but it is not working.Any help. Thanks in Advance.Datascripts for 6 Months: Code:
After the 24R2 upgrade, the billing postal code value cannot be entered in the Carrier Account section of the Customer screen for the "Billing Type: Receiver." However, this was possible in version 24R1.I am unable to find any changes in the Release notes, is it a bug?
With regards to this topic top-selling-items-in-a-generic-inquiry-27114.We have followed this reply: SoLine TableSo far so good, except we would like to accurately display the quantity based on a given time period (specifically for the past year to date). If we just add OrderDate as a column it doesn’t display the correct quantity for that time period when filtered. What is the best way to accurately display the quantity for a certain time period (instead of just all time quantity totals)?
We need some clarification for Minimum Order Quantity and EOQ (we think this mean Economic Order Quantity). We think Minimum Order Quantity for an Item / SKU is the minimum amount that must be ordered to order the Item / SKU from the supplier. So, if I have a Max Replenishment of 20, and a reorder point of 10, (and I have 10 instock) and a Minimum Order Quantity of 50, when I run replenisment the amount to order will not be 10 (20 - 10 = 10) but will be 40 (50 - 10 = 40). Is this correct? How does EOQ figure into this math? I do not know what EOQ does. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you
Has anyone run into issues with serial lot numbers that contain an underscore in 2024 R2? When creating an inventory adjustment, the lot that has the underscore can be selected but as soon as any field (e.g. quantity) is updated the underscore is replaced by a space and the transaction cannot be saved. For new receipts we will use a dash instead of underscore, but it’s causing problems with existing inventory. We have a support case open with Acumatica but would appreciate advice from anyone who may have already seen this issue. Thanks in advance!
Hello,Our company has been using Acumatica for three months after transitioning from Sage 100. I'm reaching out to see if anyone has experience with AP automation for both standard purchase orders (POs) and dropship POs. We handle a large volume of both types, and the majority of our AP bills are generated from POs.For those using AP automation with standard POs, how do you manage the delay between receiving the AP bill and the PO receipt?Similarly, for AP automation with dropship POs, we usually create the PO receipt upon receiving the AP bill and then invoice the customer immediately afterward. How do you manage this process? Our AP department does not feel AP Automation is helping as we hoped . . . Any insights from the group would be greatly appreciated!Thank you,Andrew Paquette
Top Selling Items In a Generic Inquiry? Looking for your suggestions
Can you increase the segment value of the Posting Class like you can for Item Classes
Client wants to require that a copy of the AP Bill is attached before allowing payment to be processed. What would be the best way to accomplish this?
Hello,We have several sales quotes that are currently open in our system, and we are unsure how to mark them as "Expired" if they remain open for more than 30 days. There is an action “Expired” in the Quote Status, but we are unsure how to use it. Is there a setting in Acumatica that can automatically mark a quote as “Expired” after a certain period, such as 30 days?Alternatively, how and when should we use the “Expired” action on a quote?
This question is a bit different from a prior question regarding how to reverse an inventory receipt. In our case, we did an Issue out of inventory that reduced our Inventory account and went to our inventory shrinkage account. We have to make some changes to the sku accounting methods, so we transferred it all out in order to make the change, then will move it all back in.After we issued it out, however, we received in via the Receipts transaction rather than do a corresponding inventory adjustment in. It correctly increased the inventory, but the other side of the transaction hit their finished goods control account rather than shrinkage. Now we have an imbalance and we can’t determine how to reverse the purchase receipt so we can adjust the inventory in properly and make it all balance. The Issue out:The Receipt: Since accounts 1200 and 1202 are control accounts in our case, we can’t just reverse the batch for the receipt.Does anyone know how we can do a reversal of the Receipt su
Hello,Is there any way to add both of these tables (ARContact) to the SO.Invoice GI Inquiry? I added them, but I don't see two tables on the Result Grid tab to choose a field from. I previously added ARContact for shipping, and I don't see any value on the inquiry page after I added the second one. I had to delete the ARContacte for billing in order that ARContact for shipping should work.
hello all,I have been trying to recalculate prices on sales orders using an import scenario, but it doesnt seem to work. When I try to manually recalculate it does get, but not via import scenario. What is it that I am doing wrong here? The import scenario would be run via a biz event. So I have created a GI to list the SO on hold and whenever a new sales order would be created, the biz event should be fired.
