"View Only" access for the Customization Projects

Hello Experts,I'd like to inquire about setting the Customization Projects and Customization Project Editor screens to "View Only" access.The objective is to prevent users from making any modifications to customization projects, including publishing and editing packages. While I have successfully set "View Only" access for the Customization Projects screen, I've encountered an "Access Denied" error when attempting to do the same for the Customization Project Editor screen.I'd appreciate any guidance on this matter and would like to know if I've overlooked any necessary steps or if there are any specific configurations that need to be addressed.Thank you for your assistance.Regards,Sagar

Our customer is asking the the AP Bills and Adjustment to be added their Mobile App.I have added to Mobile Workspace AU220012 but do not see on MobileWhat am I missing?Do I need a customization project ?Can someone provide the basic outline of this process 1 - 2 - 3?

Using Azure Blob Storage for attachment storage

We are trying to use Azure Blob storage as an attachment repository. We do not want to allow PUBLIC access to our blob storage so have created a private endpoint. Although we can connect to the blob via SMB share i.e. \\server\share the only options in Acumatica for blob storage according to the documentation is via a shared key or via a mapped drive. Because the Acumatica server is not logged into and runs as a web service the mapped drive is not available. Putting in the \\servername\share is not an option and throws an error. how do we utilise blob? Any ideas or maybe Acumatica developers can guide us here?Thanks

Azure Active Directory User/Access Set Up

Hello -Is there an easy way to bring in/import all active directory users? Or do these need to be added one by one from the Users screen? If import is feasible, can we “override AD roles with local roles” at the same time?Also, I am a bit confused on the AD Group/User Roles set up. Is this essentially redoing all access roles for every user? Is there no way to get the new AD users to default based on their current set up? Not sure what the quickest route is but as of now it’s sounding like I will need to manually tie the same Acumatica username roles to everyone’s AD user account.

Anyway to get get "Last Cost" to populate on the Stock Item homescreen?

Our inventory is set up in a nonconventional manner where we have last cost being the place holder for the price we paid for an item. We typically buy and resell. Is there anyway to get the last cost to show on our home screen for stock items? Our current list doesn’t have that as an option to add. Or is there a way to get last cost to populate into current cost?

Change Tenant Name on SM203520?

We currently have our live company tenant named “Company”, which I’ve never liked because it tends to confuse new users. I was looking in to changing it to something users would recognize (like our company name, or Production, etc).On the Tenant screen SM203520, it appears possible to simply overwrite the Tenant Name and Login Name and click save. Most other screens have an Title/Name change function, so I’m apprehensive to just change it without guidance. If so, are there repercussions to doing so for any customizations, reports etc, or does it use the ID number and not the Tenant Name/Login Name? Anyone have experience changing the Tenant Name/Login Name?

Restriction Groups by Departments

Hello,I am new to Acumatica and have been looking for ways to create restriction groups on the basis of Departments of the Employees. I would also then like to only allow the usage of those subaccounts (has segments divided) that refer to the respective departments and then would only allow the usage of Sales Orders based on those departments. Test Tenant User restriction question

Hi! I am trying to determine what User restrictions are applied when an Active tenant is changed to a Test tenant. Is the number of users restricted to 2 concurrent or does the licensed number of users still apply to the test tenant with all forms and reports watermarked as test? The Help article I found stated that unlicensed test tenants were restricted to 2 Users however it does not say if this changes when licensed. Customer is on version 2022 R2 if that is a factor in the answer.I appreciate any input! Thanks,Michelle

Share Column Configuration Access Rights

How do we give someone access to SHARE COLUMN CONFIGURATIONS? I can only get it to run when I give someone admin rights, but these are managers for specific segments, not admins. Where do I enable SHARE COLUMN CONFIGURATIONS for these users? I swear I’m just blind, it has to be somewhere in Access Rights, but I’m not seeing it under hidden, system management, configuration, etc. Thank you in advance to whoever has the eagle eyes to find this setting!

New User can't access the "MY Profile" in order to change password.

User was setup with the check box selected to allow them to reset their password. When going to the upper right drop down and selecting MY PROFILE, it takes them to Welcome to Acumatica.If an additional set-up is required, please provide path. Thanks.

External File Storage on NAS

I’m having trouble getting external file storage to work when pointed to a Synology NAS.The NAS directory is mapped to the S:\ drive on my Acumatica server, and I am able to interact with it using my admin account. This is the same account I use when installing Acumatica. However, when I attempt to add either the S:\ drive or a C:\user\administrator\desktop directory as the external storage address, I get an invalid path error.This is not the case when I use a C:\ directory, so I assume it is user permissions related, but I do not know which user context Acumatica or IIS are running in to grant the needed permissions. Any input would be appreciated.

Using Email Template with Screen AP.30.20.00, I want to include the Branch of the Bill that is paid

Good day,I am using Email Template to send an ACH notification from Screen AP302000, normal ACH notifiaciton with business Event. My client is requesting to add the Branch of the Bills on the Email template (I manage to add that to the AP642000 report), but cant find the way to add it to the Email body. I am using the following datafields but none has the Branch from the Bill that was paid:Some are from the Payment Branch, is not helping the case. Any recomendation is appreciated. Thank you team. These is the result of an email with those fields for Branch (Test enviroment)The number 5,7 and 8 are the Branch ID from the Payemnt, not the bill(s) paid.

Restriction groups Subaccounts - Not working as intended

Hello All,I have been trying to apply restriction groups on Subaccounts. When I created a restriction group with Group Type as A or B , it is not getting applied to any of the accounts. But when I try using A Inverse, it gets applied.Also, when I try to create one more restriction group with A, it still shows the same as it is showing for the above but when I try to create another restriction group with Group type A Inverse then it only shows me the subaccounts that I had restricted in the first one (of type A Inverse).How can I resolve this?

Lost Access to our Testing Tenant

Hello,I have just discovered that somewhere along the way I have removed access to the testing tenant for our company. We had been doing some work on security roles so I am assuming that the two are related. However, I am unsure how I can “re-enable” access to the testing tenant for myself (as admin). Hello, I followed the S100 video to set up a trial version to do some testing of Acumatica, but when I try to launch the instance, I get a login failed screen. Can or does Acumatica apply tax at an invoice line item level?

We have a need to apply tax at a line item level from Projects when an invoice is created, and then add that to the invoice total.Is that a base functionality of Acumatica Projects or would that require a customization?I am new to using Projects so I am not sure how line item taxing works with Projects and project billing.If it is a base function of Acumatica Project and you know how that works, could you explain in some detail how that occurs?Thank you,Jeff

Help locating INUnit in access rights

Hello, I am having a hard time finding the location of a specific class so that I can tweak access rights. I am looking to edit the rights for the unit conversions section of the stock items page. I see that the data class is called ‘INUnit’, but I cannot find this on the ‘access rights by screen’ page. Can anyone please let me know where this class is nested so that I can edit the rights to it? Thanks, Casey

How can I fix the "validated" button on locations for our business in Acumatica (using Avalara for validation)

We are setting up our locations in Acumatica, and are using the Avalara address validation tool. When we set up a location, the address and LocationID is the same as we are using in Avalara, yet the “Validated” button within Acumatica is framed in red and unable to be chosen. Has anyone experienced this? If so, and if you know how to repair, I would be grateful.

Change first day of week

hi! i have Client A who’s going through implementation and the first financial year starts on 1/1/2018 (monday) and Client B who’s financial year starts on 1/1/2021 (Friday). i was referring to the info related to custom week config which led me to believe that it’s related to the financial year but that’s not consistent with what i’m seeing between the two clients:on the time and expense preference screen, Client A’s week setting has a start date of Monday and Client B has a start day of Sunday. does anyone know what settings i need to change for the start day to change to Sunday for Client A without using the custom week configuration? i thought this was related to the work calendar however, Client A has work calendars that have Sunday as a working day and Client B does not have sunday as a working day. also, i want to add that Client A has Acumatica Payroll and Client B does not
