Unable to edit the ASPX of an existing screen in Customization Project Editor

When trying to edit the ASPX of the Vendors screen in Acumatica 25R2, I get the following error: 'You have insufficient rights to access the object (GraphAspxEdit).' This is preventing me from customizing the ASPX for the screen to fit my needs. Is there a reason that this is happening? I'm logged in as the administrator and have had access to this feature in previous versions of Acumatica. Any assistance would be welcome.

@jake21, Try adding the Customizer role to the user.

I get the same error with granted access when trying to add a screen to customize it. But after refreshing the page, I can see that the item has been added and I’m able to customize it.

@jake21, Try adding the Customizer role to the user.

Thank you for the reply, the user already has the Customizer role.

In 25R2 Acumatica is pushing everyone toward the “Modern UI” (HTML/TS) customization path and, as part of that change, the old in-product ASPX Editor is effectively no longer available.

Create a screen extension using the Modern UI files (HTML + TypeScript) instead of editing ASPX. This is the direction Acumatica documents for 25R2 and is where new investment is happening.

For vendor (AP303000) and other screens, you add extension HTML/TS under the screen’s extensions folder and reference the right exports. Devs have shared working patterns for 25R2 (e.g. placing HTML/TS under AP303000/extensions and updating the TS export) while Acumatica refines packaging guidance.

I hope it helps!
