@dcomerford, thanks for reminding me that the Employee record is also a a Business Account. If the customer was using CRM and could access business accounts, I could probably add locations for the employee records.Unfortunately, they aren’t. This customer is a nonprofit that manages many locations/homes for the disabled population. They have a group of employees that manage the purchasing for all the locations and would like for the person entering the request to be able to enter the location that they are requesting the items for. They don’t want to use the department field because they are already using that for actual business departments. We are exploring the use of warehouses (i.e. treating each of the locations as a warehouse). The items that are being ordered for the locations are nonstock: cleaning supplies, furniture, etc., so we don’t have to worry about inventory maintenance. That way, the warehouses can be set up with addresses to drive the delivery location for purchase orde
We’re having the exact same issue trying to create guest roles. Were you able to find a solution?
Hi @Naveen Boga, I started this investigation because I have 2 customers who want the cost added to the Invoices & Memos list screen. There is no header-level cost total like there is for the price/amount, so I figured I was going to have to link all the way back to the SO LIne to get the cost of the item. Then I was going to have to figure out how to total the line cost. Then I stumbled across the Sales Profitability Analysis under Receivables and opened the underlying generic inquiry. It turns out there IS a cost field in the ARTran table (this is new?).I compared the ARTran cost to the SOLine cost and they’re different.Attached is the GI...it’s been through several iterations in this journey to get the cost for the invoice.
Thank you @Laura02, that’s exactly what I was looking for. I thought cost was locked in on the sales order regardless of valuation method.
Hi @miguel80, what does ATTR_user represent? If I have an Attribute ID called EQUIPTYPE with a list of Value ID’s such as:AIRAIRACCWBWhat would your formula look like? Thanks!
Hi @gloyo12 , would you mind attaching your report and subreport? I’m trying to do the same thing but it’s not working.Thank you!
@dgodsill97, does checking that box change functionality in other parts of the system (i.e. on manual material transactions, pick/pack/ship, etc.)? @danielklumpp, did you ever receive an answer or fix from Acumatica? We’re also having the same issue.
Thanks for the follow up!
Thanks @Laura02 .Increasing the field length would need to be done with a customization, wouldn’t it?
Hi @Dana Moffat, I posed that question to the customer.I’m very familiar with their processes and I can’t think of a reason they would need the Inventory ID to be that long.I’ll let you know when I hear back from them 🙂
We have the same issue with Customers and their upgrade sandbox: they can’t log in to the sandbox because of Active Directory. They are using Active Directory in their production environment, but this doesn’t work in their sandbox. All of their notifications, approval maps, etc are tied to their employee id’s that are linked to their AD user accounts. How do we get them into the sandbox?
My customer has determined that they won’t pursue increasing the length beyond 30 characters. It was something the engineering team was looking for to add more intelligence to the part number.
@BenjaminCrisman, I’m not sure I understand what you mean by checking the length and including that in the visible expression. What would that look like? Thanks!
Hello, I did try the mass actions suggestion and, even though it looks like you can create multiple purchase receipts at one time, Acumatica only creates a receipt for the first record.
Hi @Dana Moffat, If we do that, does it affect other functionality in the system that may not be desired? Thanks!
Yes, If you look at the screenshots in my question, it shows the access rights that I have granted for the role.I’m unable to find other access rights that might control access to that field, that I might have missed.
