Variant Option Name - Language sync & Partial payments

  1. The region setting in the Shopify connector for Acumatica is set to French, and the default language in Shopify is also French. When I sync a template item from Acumatica to Shopify, the product title appears in French as expected. However, the variant option titles show up in English, even though both English and French versions are present in Acumatica. Why is this happening?
  2. If I create an order in Acumatica and receive a deposit from the customer, once after I send the order details to Shopify, can i collect the remaining balance from the customer through Shopify, for example by sending them a payment link via Shopify? 
  3. We’re using 2024R2—does it support 2000 variants, or is that feature only available in 25R1?

@mindweb Thanks for posting the questions. 

  1. Could you please create a case with Acumatica support team about this issue. We would like to take a look at the data. 
  2. With REST API, Shopify doesn't allow to update the payment status once the order is created. It allows only to mark the order as paid or not at the time of order creation. So be default the connector marks the order as Paid in Shopify irrespective of the payment amount/status in ERP. This can be changed to mark as not paid using the entities. With GQL, we will be able to update the payment status and we will soon support this scenario. Currently, it is not supported. 
  3. The support of 2000 variants in Shopify is done only in GQL. Connector support GQL for product entities only in 25R1.
