We have two Acumatica Tenants.  The first Tenant is our live Production Acumatica Tenant.  The second Acumatica Tenant is our “test tenant” we use to train employees.   Our live Production tenant is connected to our live production Big Commerce Website.  I want to connect our second Acumatica Test Tenant to a second Big Commerce Sand box.  And leave this connection permantly in place to do testing.  Can I connect my Second Acumatica test tenant to a second Big Commerce website Sandbox?  Is there risk of polluting of messing up my orginal live connection?

Can I connect a Acumatica tenant we use for testing to a test Big Commerce website Sandbox? | Community

@dougmcbride79 hi, you should be able to set up the big commerce sandbox in the test tenant with no issues.  you will just need to make sure you are using the BC sandbox connection settings in acumatica.  i have had a lot of clients do this exact thing with other connections such as avalara, shopify, etc.  it’s a good way to test things out when needed!

@dougmcbride79 I concur with @jinin  and @iqraharrison. Sharing some best practices.

  1. Ensure the sandbox tenant has a different color scheme, so there is a visual difference between the live and sandbox tenants. This will ensure no-one is doing a configuration change for testing in a live tenant by mistake.
  2. Ensure the right sandbox API credentials are used on the sandbox store connection.
  3. Make sure to name the store connection on the sandbox tenant with “sandbox” as the prefix/suffix.
  4. Turn off real time sync / Connector based automation schedulers, if necessary, on the sandbox tenant. This can save in API calls.

Thanks,
