What is the purpose of Having a Plan order in MRP preference screen? When this is going to use in the MRP process? While creating production order MRP system automatically suggests RO order.

The MRP engine creates planning records. These are what you see on MRP Display as recommendations. You then take those planning records and create supply / replenishment records.
The Production Orders type for creating the supply records will default based on the ‘Default Order Type’ set on Production Preferences.
