Hello all,

I have been trying to create child Prod Orders, but unfortunately, when I click on Generate Orders for Subassemblies option under Prod Order Maintenance → More Menu, it runs & then says “The Operation has been complted”, but it doesnt generate any child orders. Also, I have defined default BOMs for my subassembly parts & also have defined Production Default Source as Manufacturing.

How can I resolve this?

@Harry Does subassembly material line has the 'Mark for Production' check box selected in materials tab in Production order details (AM209000) form?

Hi @PragatiMalviya64 , yes this works. However the end user has to go into each of the Orders & manually check them mark. is there any way to automatically get it checkmarks or any setup/config?

Thanks.

@Harry After 24R2, the Generate Subassembly Orders process now respects the Source for Production Order (Dflt Mark For) setting in the Manufacturing Tab of the Stock items (IN202500) form.

If a subassembly item is configured with Default Source = Production, then the system:

  • Selects the Mark for Production checkbox for the subassembly item to be created with Generate Subassembly order on the Production Order Maintenance (AM201500) form, and
  • Creates the required subassembly production orders when subassemblies are generated together with the parent production order.

Details are in 2024R2 release notes
