Inventory records on consumables

I would appreciate any ideas on keeping records on consumables for our manufacturing plant. 

 

Should we record the items as normal inventory items but in a seperate warehouse?

@DewaldCon If you do want to track the consumables, creating a separate warehouse is a good idea. Additionally, you can also create a separate Item class and Posting class for the consumables to define their GL accounts and properties.
If you don't want to track the consumables, you can explore Non-stock items as well.
