Inventory 'box' functionality for a stock item

Does anyone know if Acumatica supports 'box' functionality that allows for a given stock item to have multiple 'boxes' for storing the item in several inventory locations.

Context is a stock item that is received as multiple boxes (say 3) with 1 of 3, 2 of 3 and 3 of 3 stored in different possibly locations.

Wasn’t sure if this was supported today and if so, where I could find more details.

Any insight, greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Dave

The only thing that comes to mind is to have separate Stock Item for each piece.  Then group them together based on a kit.  Possibly a BOM with a single “assembly” or “gather together” operation.  I’m not sure if that helps at all, but that is all that comes to my mind.

Hi @dmaxwell

I don't see an out of the box option here. Can you clarify about the unit of measure used here? Does each box contain X number of units? or its all part of single unit?

Regards,

The boxes for a single part of the stock item… ie. a table top and table bottom come in two boxes, but are a single stock item for the table.

Open to suggestions if there are any.
