When I go to close a production order I sometimes get an error that says there are open transactions that need to be released before the production order can be closed. This all makes sense but I find it very difficult to pin point which transaction (materials, labor, or move) isn’t released. In most cases it’s a second materials transaction that someone forgot they started and created a new one. Unfortunately the unreleased transactions do not show up on the events page of the production order (which also makes sense). How else can I track down what transaction is holding up the closing process?

Thank you!

@SBaldwin if you go to more menu on the production order record and use Production transactions command, system will open the GI which will display all the transactions related to the production record where you can easily add filter to view the unreleased transaction.

This GI is added as a side panel in 24R2 to improve the transactions visibility.

Hi @SBaldwin

You could create a GI which is based off the AMBatch table which combines all of these transactions and filter it out by only showing status ‘Balanced’ or ‘Hold’ transactions.

Hope this helps!
